A Core Elder suddenly appeared in front of him while delivering something to one of the sect master's disciples! How scary!

What would he have done if I wasn't lucky enough to spot the sect master earlier and knew where he was?

Shivering at the thought of this as he came up with all sorts of wild fantasies about his possible fate on his way down the mountain, a few weird rumours about Xuan Hao would soon begin to spread among the disciples in the near future. Not that the person in question cared in the first place

Reaching the south side of the pavilion, Xuan Hao soon spotted the conservatory attached to the side of the pavilion.

The conservatory itself was a room with a glass roof and glass walls, it was a nice place to sit outside and relax, while still being inside.

And given that a few dark clouds had begun gathering above, Xuan Hao could see the reason why Feng Chen had decided to use the conservatory instead of just finding a place to sit outside.

"Elder Xuan? What brings you here? D-did something perhaps happen!?"

Not understanding why Xuan Hao suddenly showed up again after such a short time, Feng Chen felt a bit confused at first before thinking that something bad might have happened.

"Elder Song informed me to tell you that he would not be able to help out with the management of the sect over the next few days. During this period of time, he expressed to me that he would be thankful if you could take over for him during this period of time. You are after all the sect master! Muttering this to himself as he slumped down on a nearby couch, Feng Chen looked over at Xuan Hao with hopeful eyes. Hoping that there was more to it other than him getting a ton of work.

"Elder Song never rests properly, so it's great news that he finally gets a few days of rest. Personally, I think this is really good news!"

Smiling widely as he said this, Xuan Hao directly left the sad looking Feng Chen in the conservatory before he got the idea to keep him as a helper. Elder Song should be able to come back before they acted against the Raging Flame Sect

"B-but what about me?"

Saying this as he thought about the mountains of future work laying before him over the next few days, Feng Chen suddenly felt that the world was a cruel and merciless place.

Even if Elder Song got to rest over the next few days, someone would still have to pick up his work and do it while he was away And the only person who could do that was him, the sect master
