Chapter 206 - Passion

The wedding started at sunset and lanterns lit up the place as it slowly became dark.

Lu Xian Yu was waiting at the end of the aisle, wearing a white suit. He looked so nervous and excited at the same time. His blonde hair was neatly arranged. He was handsome and his devilish beauty was enough to make anyone stop in their tracks.

Mengmeng and her three girl friends were the flower girls of that event. They threw flowers on their way to him while Li Bingbing walked, following their lead.

Li Bingbing's eyes were locked unto Lu Xian Yu's eyes.

Since Li Bingbing wasn't wearing a veil, Lu Xian Yu could clearly see the look in her eyes.

Her emotions were not easily hidden on her innocent face. It was always because of her eyes that he was able to read through her. Her eyes showed her soul. As he looked into her eyes he knew, all the beauty of the universe could not even hope to compete with this simple thing: pa.s.sion.

Pa.s.sion turned her eyes into orbs of the brightest fire, and in them, he knew clearly that she would fight to the very last tear for her life. She would not let the world break her. Sure she could cry, but she would never let them take her true self from her. She clung to it with pa.s.sion. Pa.s.sion that made her beautiful and that was what he loved the most on her.

Her parents, Mu Xijiu and s.h.i.+ Fen were walking by her sides with smiles on their faces. They willingly gave their daughter to him.

The starry night above them was better than any software imitation. There were lighter patches, cl.u.s.ters of faint and bold light, the constellations altered according to the time of year. These were the same stars that greeted the ancients, the same ones that would be there in millions of years.

Lu Xian Yu felt like he was dreaming at that moment. She was the girl that he only loved, the woman who changed his life.

He kept on looking at her even when the priest had started his welcoming remarks. It was like Lu Xian Yu was lost in his own world.

The happiness he felt inside him was so overwhelming that he was trying his best to stop the urge to hold her in his arms and kiss her.

Li Bingbing's smile never left her lips. She could feel Lu Xian Yu's gaze on her but she never complained about it.

After the priest gave his remarks, it was time for exchanging vows. He turned to Li Bingbing and gave her a signal that she could start.

She took the piece of paper with her vows on it. She looked at it for a while before she turned to Lu Xian Yu and smiled.

"Because your love is so whole, my the emptiness I once felt was filled. Because your touch carries such pa.s.sion, what was scarred becomes soft once more. Because you are steady and patient, my open wounds have time to heal and vanish. Perhaps that is why they say love is such magic, this gift from the universe, this sweet addiction to the man I was born to be with. I am not a perfect woman, you know that well and yet you are still here, right in front of me that's why, thank you for being so patient with me, Xian Yu. Thank you for helping me live in my present that is why… I promise to love you and to take care of you, to be with you until our hair becomes white so you really need to stop dying your hair or else I cannot monitor those growing white hair strands on you."

Soft laughs were heard from the guests because of what Li Bingbing said.

"Anyway, as I was saying, I vow to be there for you at all times. I love you, Lu Xian Yu."

Jing Yue wiped the tears that formed at the side of her eyes. She was happy that her son was finally going to marry someone and it was with a wonderful woman like Li Bingbing too.

Meanwhile, Mengmeng and Qinqing was quietly admiring their parents. They were so happy to see their parents together.

Mengmeng turned to look at Si Hongqi's back. Will she one day have a wonderful wedding like that with him?

Si Hongqi felt a gaze on his back and he felt gooseb.u.mps all over his body. He turned and saw Mengmeng looking at him.

Han Xukun placed a hand on Si Hongqi's shoulder, "Good luck."
