"Mama!" 

Mengmeng came running toward Li Bingbing when she saw her. Her face was wet and her eyes were full of tears. Her small body was s.h.i.+vering, from her waist to her feet, she was all wet.

Li Bingbing was surprised to see her that way the moment she arrived in the Han family manor.

The servants told Li Bingbing and Lu Xian Yu that the children were playing in the garden that was why they had to go there to pick them up.

Lu Xian Yu turned to Qinqing who followed his sister from behind. He was also wet like his sister. "Liqin, what happened? Why is your sister crying?"

"Jiejie lost the necklace that papa gave her while we were playing." Qinqing kept on glancing at her sister with a worried look on his face.

"Papa will hate me for losing the necklace!" Mengmeng cried out.

Oh… so that's why she was crying so hard.

Li Bingbing sat down in front of Mengmeng and gently wiped her tears from the side of her eyes with her thumb, "Mengmeng, papa will not hate you, it was just an accident, I'm sure that he will understand."

"But still… Mengmeng loves that necklace mama and… and we can't find it anywhere." She sniffled.

"Then I'll help you look for it," smiled Li Bingbing. "Tell me, where did you last had it?"

Mengmeng shook her head a bit, "Mengmeng doesn't know."

"Jiejie only realized that it was gone when she wanted to show it to big brother Xukun and big brother Hongqi," explained Qinqing.

Lu Xian Yu furrowed his brows upon hearing the names of the boys. 

Si Hongqi?

"Where are they?"

He was already fine in having Han Xukun as his daughter's friend but having Si Hongqi as one was a different matter.

He didn't know that Han Xukun and Si Hongqi were friends. How could they be one when their fathers are not in good terms?

Si Hongqi is the son of Si Enlin and Yong Sianqi. Just like Lu Xian Yu, Si Enlin is a powerful figure in the Azure Republic, except that, he didn't have any connections in the underworld. He was rather a decent man.

The only reason why he is a resident in the Azure Republic was because the Si family is included in the family who practice ancient martial arts.

Han Qinshan and Si Enlin were frenemies all because they once loved the same woman, who was now Han Qinshan's first wife.

The only dangerous thing about the Si family was that they were the so-called 'Shadow' of the Wolf King.

Si Enlin was a different person, he didn't want to be connected in the true dark business of his family. Since he was currently the head of the family at that moment, as long as he is alive, he was making sure that the Si family is in under control.

Despite that, it was another matter when it came to his sons, Si Guanlin and Si Hongqi. There were some people in the Si family that were trying to poison the children's mind, especially Si Guanlin who is going to be the next head of the family.

"They are still by the lake, looking for Jiejie's necklace," answered Qinqing.

Li Bingbing tried to comfort her daughter who was bawling out.

Lu Xian Yu bent down to her level and patted her head. " Sweetheart, why don't you tell me the places you pa.s.sed by earlier. If it is what you said that it was already gone by the time you tried to show it to your friends then it could have fallen off somewhere else."

Li Bingbing nodded in agreement. The only hard thing in that place was there were no surveillance cameras that was why the best way to find the necklace was by going to the places they pa.s.sed by. "I'm sure that we can find it right away if we looked for it together."

"Your mother is right, that's why you shouldn't cry, Mengmeng." Lu Xian Yu said softly as he patted her head. " We are here now, we will help you look for it."

"Really?" Mengmeng eyes were filled with hope when she heard what her mother said.

"Yes, I'm sure that we will be able to find it."
