"What does it look again?" Si Hongqi asked while he kept looking for a necklace around the place.

"Silver necklace with a snowflake pendant." Han Xukun replied. 

He had seen it once when he first met Mengmeng. He didn't think much of it since it was just an accessory, he didn't know that it was actually a precious thing for Mengmeng.

Si Hongqi took a glance at Han Xukun who was deep in thought. "Mengmeng and Qinqing's situation is different, don't you think? They have two fathers."

Han Xukun blinked a few times, "Two fathers?"

"Eh? You didn't realize?"

"Not really," replied Han Xukun. "What do you mean by two father?"

"The way they address 'papa' and 'daddy' is as if they are talking about two people." Si Hongqi was an observant person, aside from that, he has sharp hearing sense.

Now that Si Hongqi mentioned that, Han Xukun realized that Qinqing looked a bit different from Li Bingbing and Lu Xian Yu.

"Your smiles are a bit similar." Han Xukun turned to Si Hongqi.

Si Hongqi chuckled, "Yeah, my mom showed me her family photo once and you know, Qinqing looks a bit like my grandpa's sister, grandma Sining."

A thought suddenly entered Si Hongqi's mind. "What if we're actually related?"

"That could be possible but what are the chances of that being true?" 

Si Hongqi shrugged, not really caring much of it, "Who knows?"

Just then, he noticed a small glint of light coming from a few steps away from him. He walked toward it and saw the necklace near the tree's trunk, covered by a few panes of gra.s.s.

He picked it up and saw the snowflake pendant on the silver lace. He turned to Han Xukun with a wide grin, "I got it."

Han Xukun faced him, he sighed in relief upon seeing the necklace. "It must have fallen when you helped her climb the tree."

"Hm, yeah. Anyway, we should get back and return this to her."

As Li Bingbing and her family traced the way that the children pa.s.sed by, they ended up meeting the two boys on their way to the lake.

"Gege!" Qinqing rushed to their side. "Have you found Jiejie's necklace?"

Si Hongqi nodded with a bright grin on his lips, "Yes, we did." He took the necklace from his pocket and showed it to Qinqing, "It's this, right?"

"My necklace!"

Mengmeng quickly let go of her father's hand and rushed to Si Hongqi.

He gave the necklace to her and smiled. "The lock broke that is why it fell but I think you can replace the lock somewhere."

Mengmeng's body was filled with relief. The necklace was so precious to her, after all, it was a gift from Xia Sinian. She could never rest until she found it.

She looked at Si Hongqi in a different light. He was the one who found it, aside from that, whenever he smiled, it was similar to Xia Sinian's smile.

Warmth filled her chest, her eyes became teary. A radiant smile was plastered on her face. In a blink of an eye, she gave him a hug, "Thank you so much, gege!"

Si Hongqi was a bit surprised when he received Mengmeng's hug. He chuckled lightly and patted her head, "You're welcome, little angel."

Mengmeng tightened her hug when she heard the way she called him, it was the way her papa called her back then. 

Si Hongqi felt his s.h.i.+rt was suddenly wet with tears. His eyes went wide when he suddenly realized that she was crying for real.

Her shoulders were trembling and a soft sob was heard from her. Since he was the closest to her, he heard her whisper, "Papa…"

"M-Mengmeng?" Si Hongqi was worried and nervous, he didn't know how to comfort a crying girl.

He suddenly felt a cold chill run down his spine. He felt a strong killing intent from someone. 

He turned his head to look at who was giving him such feelings, he ended gulping nervously when he saw the dark look on Lu Xian Yu's face.

Who the h.e.l.l give him permission to hold his daughter? Lu Xian Yu slowly walked toward them.

Si Hongqi instinctively raised his hands in surrender, cold sweats rolled down his forehead.
