He had known that to love deeply meant to risk great pain, he had pursued superficial relations.h.i.+ps and one night stands until he met her. And then he was lost because of her.

He admired that part of her and yet, he never wanted her to act like she was fine in front of him. Even if it was only to him, he wanted her to put her walls down.

After Li Bingbing was able to calm down, she felt her eyes salty and heavy, "I want to sleep..." She whispered weakly, after crying her feelings out, she felt her body lose its strength. She was leaning against him for support.

"You should get some rest." He held her by her shoulder before he accompanied her to her room. He helped her on the bed then he pulled the blanket until her chest. "Sleep."

Li Bingbing stared at him for a while before she closed her eyes, "Just so you know... I still hate you."

A subtle smile appeared on Lu Xian Yu's lips, "Don't worry, I know. Just so you also know, I still love you."

Li Bingbing didn't say anything about it, instead, she allowed herself to drift off to sleep.

"Good night, Bibi." Lu Xian Yu placed a soft kiss on her forehead before he left her in the room and returned to his room.

After singing Mengmeng and Qinqing the birthday song, everyone clapped for them.

Lu Xian Yu has reserved the whole zoo for Mengmeng and Qinqing's birthday celebration that's why the only people that were there were their families. They were currently inside the cafeteria...

"Jiejie (big sis), quick! Let's blow candle!" Qinqing exclaimed happily.

"Yes, don't forget to make a wish before you do." Li Bingbing reminded with a soft smile on her lips.

Mengmeng held Qinqing's hand and leaned to whisper in his ear, "What are you going to wish, Qinqing?"

Qinqing's eyes sparkled excitedly, "Toys.h.!.+"

Mengmeng shook her head in an adorable manner, "We have so so so so many toys, Qinqing." She placed a finger on her cheek as if she was trying to think of a wish.

"Mengmeng, Qinqing, everyone is waiting." Li Bingbing chuckled as she watched the two think of a wish.

"Yeah, we're getting hungry here." s.h.i.+ Yi, Li Bingbing's half brother who was not eight years old said.

Mengmeng huffed, "Then wait more! This is not a simple matter, uncle Xiao Yi!"

Qinqing nodded at what Mengmeng said, "Jiejie is right!"

Mengmeng turned to Xia Sinian who was sitting in a wheelchair before she turned to her brother and whispered something in his ear.

Qinqing didn't understand most of it but he just nodded a few times as if he did. "Okay!"

"Okay! We're ready! Bring it on!" exclaimed Mengmeng, looking as if she was going to fight someone.

The adults in the room were giggling and laughing at how cute and adorable the two were. Everyone was present there, Xia Meilin and her family, the Xia elders, and Li Bingbing's family.

The only children in the place were Xia Meilina nd Lu Yifeng's children; Little Melon, Little Star, Little Spring, and Li Bingbing's half-siblings; s.h.i.+ Yi and s.h.i.+ Enxi.

s.h.i.+ Enxi was just a year younger than her brother, s.h.i.+ Yi and their nephew, Little Melon.

"Mengmeng and Qinqing wish that papa will become healthy again so that he can play with us!"

When everyone heard the wish of the children, especially the adults, the smiles on their lips became stiff, especially on Li Bingbing's face.
