4 Chapter 4 Little Rabbi

Staring down at her in silence the stranger felt a strange amused feeling as he watched her begin to tremble with slight embarra.s.sment and shock. The scene in front of him reminded him of a frightened bunny rabbit. Putting her down on her feet he continued to stare down at her pet.i.te body in silence, watching as she fidgeted with the skirt of her dress. Her bangs covering her eyes as she bends her head down to avoid his eyes.

She was a bit pale skinned as if not having been out in the sun for weeks, yet glowed in a healthy way. She long hair hung loose like trips of ribbon in a soft brown color down below her waist. Her eyes hidden under her bangs but could still remember her bright warm amber eyes that felt almost as if standing under a ray of sun. She was smaller than him and quite thin, the top of her head barely reaching his shoulders. Seeing the slight tremble of her shoulder he could only feel that the girl was afraid of him.

"Um...the the kitten." He heard her muttered softly. Raising an eyebrow he opened her mouth to question her before the sound of a kitten's cry was heard above his head. Gazing up his eyes widen ever so slightly as he noticed a tiny black kitten clinging on to the branch above them. Staring at the branch and back at the girl he could only guess what the girl had been trying to do. Gazing down at her knees and arms he could already see the small sc.r.a.pes from climbing up the tree. Without any effort, he reached out with one hand gripping on to the tree branch as he pulled it down a little receiving the kitten with his other hand.

"Here." He said watching at the young girl flinched back a little as he held out his hand. Gazing up trembling her eyes widen with a short gasp as she saw the small black kitten now meowing happily in his hand. Staring up at him nervously she reached out with shaky hands taking the small kitten in her arms. It wasn't after she brought the kitten close to her chest and it mowed happily up at her that she felt a warmth calming feeling. Feeling her body relax as the tension in her body slowly go away. Nervously staring up at the silent stranger in front of her she offered him a small gently smile still feeling her body tremble slightly being so close to the presence of a male.

"Thank you." Upon seeing her smile, his eyes widen ever so slightly for a mere moment before returning to a blank expression. While he had not thought much of her looks once she had smiled at him it was like standing in front of a ray of light. He could feel the warmth within that small smile only somehow revealing her beauty. Still seeing the small tremble of her shoulders he moved to step away from her and his face turned cold. He had been more than used to the fear he received from those around him. It wasn't until he took the step back that he noticed the trembling going away. His mind astonished as in his mind a small fur creature filled his head. She to him really was much like a small rabbit.

"Miss Fuzuki!"Hearing the sound a voice calling out to her in the distance Fuzuki jumped a little with wide eyes as she once again pulled back from thought. Turning she noticed one of the nurses standing by the entrance as she waved her hand beckoning the young girl over. Turning back to the stranger she gazed down at the ground giving him a nervous bow.

"Thank you again." She nervously said peaking up at him through her bangs before hurrying off with the small kitten in her arms.

Following her with his eyes, he watched as she approached a worried looking nurse. The nurse looking worried as she told her something while she tried apologizing nervously with a small awkward smile and laugh.

"Miss, your aunt has been looking for you everywhere. She has the other nurses looking for you as well. If I hadn't found you, she probably would have called the police." The nurse said anxiously with a nervous expression making Fuzuki feel guilty having promised she would only stand by the entrance to wait for her auntie.

"I'm sorry." Fuzuki apologized to the nurse with a guilty puppy-eyed expression making the nurse sigh tiredly leading the young girl back inside.

Watching her walk into the hospital his face remained cold before his eyes drifted to the ground. Laying there was a soft blue ribbon that had belong to the young girl. Her braid coming loose when she fell from the tree causing the ribbon to come off. Picking it up from the floor he stared at it in deep thought before a tall man in a black suit walked up to him keeping his distance.

"Young master, the hospital would like you to sign off some last arrangements." The man spoke nervously keeping his eyes glued to the ground at his feet. Gazing at the ribbon his expression grew even colder as he heard the man's words. Pocketing the ribbon, he closed his eyes for a mere moment before turning away.

"Let's go."
