"You promised!" She yelled.

"Promises can be broken," I yelled.

"They cannot!"

"Condoms are promised to not be broken yet millions of accidental kids are born everyday!"

"He's dying, Carter!" She screamed. I ran my hands through my now black and white hair. During the attack when I had protected earth with the force field, my hair changed colors. It changed black and had a white streak. I looked like a racc.o.o.n — or Stripe from Gremlins.

"He wants to speak to me now that he's dying and that's why I don't want to speak with him! He's my Dad and didn't bother to care about me when he was perfectly fine and healthy! He only wants to speak to me because he needs someone to protect his precious kingdom!"

Diana sighed heavily before speaking, "He wants to tell you the truth because you deserve to know,"

I froze, "The truth about what?"

"There was once a mutant who had the ability to transform powers into another. She was the only mutant in history who has been able to do that and her name was Lai," Diana started, "Lai had gotten pregnant and was on her deathbed when she was giving birth but Hera saved her. Hera was the G.o.ddess of women, family, marriage, and childbirth. Lai has gotten pregnant but did not want the baby as she wasn't prepared for a child. As jealous as Hera was, she couldn't help but feel something for the baby so she volunteered to take the baby in as hers in which Lai agreed,"

"What are you talking about?" I asked while slowing sitting up.

"Hera bought the child with her and raised it alongside her husband Zeus. Things began to happen and the G.o.ds and G.o.ddesses slowly but surely wanted to live a different life. Zeus went to Lai for a favor and she granted it. Lai managed to transfer Zeus powers to the little girl that she had given birth to. After the news broke, many other G.o.ds and G.o.ddess followed suit and went to Lai for the same exact reason. She transferred their powers and abilities to the young girl and they went to live their lives as mortals," Diana continued, "Melinoë was the daughter of both Hades and Zeus as they both played a big part in raising her but Hades instead gave his powers to Melinoë instead of the little girl everyone else gave their powers to. Due to the fact that all of the G.o.ds and G.o.ddess except Hades gave their powers to that one child, there was no longer a G.o.d of this or a G.o.ddess of that. Everything became united and instead the child would be known as the G.o.ddess of all G.o.ds and G.o.ddess or in other words — the Queen. While Melinoë became the G.o.ddess of the Underworld which made her a Queen,"

"What are you telling me this for?" I asked.

"Because Carter, the little girl is you!"

"What?"

"There's a reason why you're immortal and you can do so many things! It's because you are a G.o.ddess!" Diana revealed.

"Therefore, you're a G.o.ddess as well! We are twins," I whispered.

Diana shook her head no before she transformed into someone completely different. She transformed into a beautiful woman with bright blue eyes with the pinkest lips I had ever seen. She smiled softly at me before speaking, "I am the daughter of the man who claimed to be your Father but I am a mutant as well and my power is shape s.h.i.+fting! Before Lai pa.s.sed away, she dated my father who is the king of s.p.a.ce and he decided to take you in as his until the time was right to tell you who you really were. I came here under his orders and I had to tell you another lie to lure you back to the kingdom so he could tell you the truth but you refused so," She trailed off.

"I'm a G.o.ddess?" I asked in disbelief.

"You're not a G.o.ddess, you are the G.o.ddess!" Diana announced. I stared at the white wall in shock, disbelief, and confusion. I watched as Diana slowly stood up before bowing her head slightly at me. She raised back up slowly and opened her mouth to speak, "You are the most powerful thing to exist,"

"I cannot believe this," I whispered.

"It is an honor to be in your presence, sister!" I heard someone say. I looked up to see Melanie waking into the room with a smile on her face.

My eyes widened as I came to realization, "You're Melinoë!"
