"It's my outfit!" She replied.

"It looks like toilet paper!" I responded while grabbing her jacket and throwing it on her to cover her up.

"What's wrong with my clothing?" She asked as she put the jacket back on. She pouted her lips and I rolled my eyes causing Sarah to chuckle.

"It's pretty revealing,"

"It isn't back at home,"

"Your home is far away from here," I shot back.

"Our home is quite lovely!" She stated. She ran grabbed my hands and smiled brightly, "Oh Carter! You will love it there! It looks just like this place except everyday is a sunny day and there aren't as many problems there either! You'll really love it there especially since you're the Queen!"

"I'm not a Queen," I corrected attempting to walk away only for my arm to be grabbed.

"You are," She sung.

"Why are you still here?" I asked as I rolled my eyes, "You should return back to your planet!" Diana stared at me for a bit with an odd look on her face before she sighed heavily and sat down on the edge of the bed. I crossed my arms across my chest and prepared myself for what it was that she needed to say.

"I cannot return home until you come with me because our Father is dying and there's something he wants to talk to you about," She revealed.

"He wants to talk to me?" I asked, "Someone who claims to be my Father? Someone who I've never met,"

"Carter," She started.

"Is there anything else that you're hiding from me?"

"No,"

"Great! I'll shall return to your planet when I am ready,"

"Carter!" She yelled.

"See you later!" I exclaimed as I ran towards the door before slamming it open and running out before she could say another word. I slowed down once I was positive that she wasn't following me and made my way to John's office. I stopped once I heard him speaking to someone.

"Professor Porter," I heard the man say with his voice filled with sorrow, "We cannot just sit here and do nothing! We have to get everyone prepared!"

"I cannot simply ask these kids to fight against whatever this is that you are talking about when they barely know how to control their own powers!" John replied.

"We are mutants!" The man exclaimed, "We have it bad as it is but this is another species! He is an Alien and a mutant and he's evil at that! He's a genius and he's created something so powerful that could ruin everything!"

"I'm sorry but we will not step in that,"

"If he actually takes this machine to s.p.a.ce and attach it to a satellite, he will gain control over everyone on this Earth and we will be under his control!"

"I understand that but you are simply asking us to do something that is impossible! We cannot go to s.p.a.ce and what more protection can we do here on Earth when he's more powerful than any of us!"

Clearing my throat, I pushed the door open catching their attention. I smiled softly at the man who stood on the opposite side of the desk while John sat in his chair, "What's going on?"

"Carter!" John greeted, "Peter, Meet Carter!"

"I couldn't help but hear your conversation and I wanted to know who you were talking about," I said while looking at Peter. Peter stared at me in confusion for a bit before slowly opening his mouth to speak.

"Eric Edwards is about to do something terrible! He's half alien and half human! He was born to a mutant mother and a alien father so his abilities are incredible but he's using them for the wrong reason," He began.

"How can we stop him?" I asked.

"Carter," John warned.

Ignoring John, Peter answered, "He's created a machine that he will use to control everyone! If he attaches that machine to a satellite from s.p.a.ce then he will gain control over everyone!"

"I can stop him right along with my sister,"

"This is madness!" John yelled, "You will not be going to s.p.a.ce right now!"

"Why are you acting like this? Did you forget the main reason why I was here? It is to stop these things from happening in the future!" I yelled.

"No! You are here to figure out your true ident.i.ty!"

"And to also stop the events that is about to happen in the future!"

"You may have traveled to the past but you cannot stop what is about to happen!" John yelled. I groaned as I stared at John is shock and disbelief while he stared at me in anger.

"What?" Peter asked making me realize that he was still standing there and had just witnessed everything.

"It's a long story," John mumbled.

"When is this supposed to happen?" I asked Peter, "What exactly is he going to do?"

"He can wipe out everyone's memories and take control over their minds including mutants," Peter revealed.

My eyes widened as I took in this information. It all made sense now. This is why I didn't know I was a mutant at first, this is why no one bothered to speak about mutants until recently. He had did it. He had completely wiped out everyone's memories. I ran out of the office and went directly to the room that I shared with Sarah. Diana stood in the window with a sad expression on her face.

"Do this one thing for me and I will go!" I exclaimed. Diana quickly turned around with wide eyes.

"What is it?" She asked.

"There's a man whose about to do something terrible and I need you to stop him from doing so! He's in s.p.a.ce," I explained.

"Eric," She whispered.

"You knew?"

"We've been tracking him for the past few years but we lost him when he came to Earth," She mumbled.

"He's not here anymore,"

"He was building a following and that's when we found out his plan," She revealed, "Father has gotten weak and cannot leave the bed,"

"It's up to us, Diana!" I screamed.

Diana pushed pa.s.sed me quickly and made her ways towards the door, "I'll try to stop him from up there but you have to keep everyone protected down here,"

"Do you know where he could be?" I asked.

"There's only one satellite in s.p.a.ce right now and it stands right above the Earth," She said before disappearing. I ran teleported outside scaring a few people who stood around. Mikey, Sarah, Kasey, Melanie, and Liam ran over towards me.

"Are you okay?" Melanie asked.

"It's about to happen," I answered.

Before anyone could say anything else, I loud crash sounded. Looking up towards the sky, I could see a huge aircraft hovering over everyone. On cue, the doors opened sending down hundreds of aliens that looked like humans but their skin were black and scaled. I looked around as h.e.l.l broke lose. Everyone began running and fighting for their lives while I stood there in shock.

"Please Diana, I hope you can do this," I whispered before turning around and grabbing one of the things that tried sneaking up behind me. I grabbed him by his neck before tossing him making him fly upwards until he was no longer in sight. Shocked by my new ability of sudden strength, I made my way into the chaos and began fighting.

I could hear a familiar scream which made me turn around only to see Melanie lying on the ground with seven of the aliens charging towards her. There was blood dripping down her legs and I realized that she had been severely attacked with something sharp. I put my hands up towards her as I light purple force field surrounded her. Immediately, the seven aliens turned into dust as soon as they touched the force field. I put my hands down and ducked as one of the things attempted to grab me from behind. I kicked my leg out making it hit the ground, Mikey appeared out of nowhere before shooting one of his lasers directly at the thing.

Sarah looked up towards the sky at the aircraft before using her power to control electricity. I watched as it shoot down. Using telekinesis, I slowed the aircraft down from falling too fast and instead bought it down gently. Liam began to use his super speed and push people out of the way as the aircraft quickly came down. Kimberly used her ability to freeze things and froze the door of the aircraft trapping the remaining species inside of the aircraft.

"I couldn't do it Carter!" I heard someone say. I turned around to see Diana standing behind me.

"What?" I asked.

"When I arrived, it was too late! He had already set it off and left! I have no idea where he could be!" She explained.

"I think I know a way," I whispered.

"What are you going to do?"

"I am going to use all of my energy to create a force field big enough to protect this entire planet but I have to be completely focused so I need all of you to protect these things from coming near me because they will make me lose my concentration!" I explained.

"Carter," Kimberly started.

"Go!" I demanded. I closed my eyes slowly before creating the force field. I squeezed my eyes tightly until I was slowly losing my energy. I opened my eyes to see specs of blue light hitting against the huge force field that I managed to create and I knew that it was the rays from the machine that Eric had created. I squeezed my eyes shut again as I felt myself becoming drained and weak. As soon as I dropped to my knees, the force field disappeared and the specs of blue light no longer existed. I sighed heavily as Kasey bent down next to me.

"Are you alright?" She asked.

"Did it work?" I asked.

"It did,"

"What are you? Who are you?" I asked her.

Kasey stared at me in confusion, "Carter, it's me Kasey!"

I sighed in relief as she remembered who she was which meant that it worked. I stood up slowly and looked around as all of the aliens laid on the ground.

"I think they were being controlled from that machine in s.p.a.ce," Mikey revealed, "As soon as it stopped, they all dropped dead!"

"Melanie," I whispered as I made my way over towards her. Melanie laid on the ground in her own blood.

"I'm okay," She whispered weakly. I could see that she was slowly losing consciousness.

"You're dying," I whispered. Melanie smiled softly as she laid there.

"There's nothing wrong with dying," She started, "Sometimes things happen and you have no choice but to go. This was destined to happen to me and I have accepted my fate,"

"How did this happen?" Liam asked.

"I was attacked by so many of them at once and their claws went directly to my leg. They've cut it open and I cannot walk. I've been lying here bleeding out the entire time," She replied.

"This is not your fate," I answered,

"Things happen for a reason," She stated, "I don't regret fighting one bit,"

I placed my hand on her leg before closing my eyes softly. Melanie gasped. I let my hand sit on her injured leg for a while before taking it off. Everyone gasped as they stared at Melanie's healed leg. She slowly sat up and touched it.

"I am not in any pain anymore!" She announced.

"Be careful," I replied before standing up and slowly making my way into the school.
