Chapter 191 – Accompanied By A Monster

The waves were sparkling and the breeze came.

It was not exactly a windy day, so the Flowers did not cruise fast. The sailors in the paddle room have begun to slide in the oars to accelerate sailing.

Liszt ordered a servant to bring him a stool so he could sit on the bow deck and admire the sea view.

Tremblingwoods lay on the side of the s.h.i.+p. So far,it was a success bringing the dog for it to overcome its fear of the sea. At first, it did not adapt well, not even dared to look at the seawater, but now, it was admiring the sea. It's adaptability was superb.

In the near future.

Tremblingwoods could easily be a qualified sailor, no…. A water dog!

Dogs, in general, can swim. Tremblingwoods was still a dog.

The waves rolled.

There were small scattered islands around Black Horse Island  , perhaps they shouldn't be called islands yet, for they were more like islets. A single wave could easily flood the said small ma.s.s of land.

Some of these islets have trees while some only have sand.

“The scenery is really beautiful! Blue sea, blue sky, seagulls, sand, coconut tree. If this was on Earth, Black Horse Island with its nearby islets, it can definitely be opened up as a resort in the Maldives… Unfortunately, the Grand Duchy of Sapphire is an island state, where the n.o.bles are islanders, and therefore would not be in the mood to enjoy a beach scenery."

The n.o.bles were too busy robbing Eagle Kingdom.

"The Count and Levis, I don't know how much wealth they have stolen … I don't know when the Tulip fleet will return. There should be no shortage of serfs this time. Their return trip should be fast."

Liszt's heart heated up.

His territory has more than 2,500 serfs, and even so, Flower Town was still understaffed. Now there is Black Horse Island to be developed, causing more inadequate manpower. Many of his ideas could not be fully realized because of his lack of people. They were farming slowly, causing slow piling up of gold coins, hence he could not get rich in a flash.

"The potions should be enough for my use. With the amount I currently consume, I cannot rely on the Flame Mushroom potion alone, and fast-growing magic thorns are still not enough. The revenue I would get from the Black Tulips must now also be used to buy potions."

"There weren't a lot of businesses making money from selling magic potions. After six months, I think I'll have to withdraw in the seafood business since some n.o.bles are secretly fis.h.i.+ng on their own, but not selling. I don't know when it'll surely happen though."

At present, the new money-making project was the Flower Soap produced by the soap workshop.

Liszt hoped that he would monopolize the soap market in Coral island in three months' time. He would then work with the Tulips or the Beer Family to tap the offsh.o.r.e market.

With the quality and cost of Flower Soap, the operation should be good. It can become a pillar industry of Flower Town.

"First, the money I'll make from the Flower Soap would be used to buy more serfs. With more serfs, the factories would be manned. More industries lead to more money lead to more serfs. When I am fully armed, I'll ride to battle, gain the t.i.tle of viscount, and I will continue gaining like a s...o...b..ll."

He started imagining.

Viscount, Count, Marquis and then Duke! And also ride a dragon!

He was still imagining being a dragon rider when suddenly the Flowers started shaking and his visions became tasteless. "It really is poverty that is preventing me from achieving my dreams. My ultimate goal is to ride a dragon and I am willing to struggle to reach that goal for other than that, I desire nothing else."

Just then.

Liszt heard a sailor exclaim, “Leviathan!”

“It's a Leviathan!”

“Oh my G.o.d, we met a sea monster!”

“We're going to be eaten by a Leviathan, ah! “

“Wooof Wooof! “

“It's over!” 

Leviathan?

Liszt, at first, did not respond. He did not know what a Leviathan was.

But then, he heard Costo's roar, “Don't panic, don't panic, do your job! This is not a Leviathan, it's just a sea monster, they are friendly and never hurts s.h.i.+ps sailing at sea! “

Perhaps Mr. Kosto's rea.s.surance was working.

The sailors were no longer panicking.

Thomas also managed to calm down from a panic and ran to Liszt's side, “My Lord, we've encountered a sea monster!”

“I saw.”

Liszt stood up to calm down Tremblingwoods who was incessantly barking at the port side of the vessel. There, a sea creature was waving its huge pectoral fin as it jumped in the sea, its body rolling in the waves and as it fell back in the water, it would set off huge waves.

 It was some kind of whale, and he recognized it at a glance.

It was a sea animal, not a sea monster, for the Magic Eye did not see any signs of magic.

The sea animal was similar to the humpback whale he saw in “Man and Nature,”. If the sea animal's fins were any closer to the Flowers, it could easily snap the s.h.i.+p in half.

Though it was not near the Flowers, it wasn't too far either.

“My Lord!” Marcus rushed over, followed by the knights who felt the danger and came to protect Liszt.

But there wasn't any danger.

Liszt quickly restrained himself from the tension brought by the sea animal. The day was light and windy, he pointed his finger at the humpback whale: “It is majestic and magnificent, for it is rare to see the sea beast at a close range. Teacher Marcus, everyone, please sit down and enjoy this view. “

“My Lord, would you like to get into the cabin first?” Marcus was worried.

“It's a sea animal. Don't worry, Captain Kosto told me the story about these sea beasts. They are  friendly.” Liszt laughed, he was calm and relaxed.

Liszt gained the admiration of his knights that very moment – the Lord was the embodiment of courage, honored by the knight's glory!

After listening to Liszt's a.s.surance, Marcus bowed, his body relaxed, no longer making a fuss. He joined Liszt and admired the rare spectacle.

It was like walking with a beast!

However, the walk was only for a moment. The whale somehow lost its interest in the Flowers, or it just simply climbed up to the surface to breathe. Moments later, with another body roll, it sank to the ocean and completely disappeared.

After the waves.

The sea was calm.

Tremblingwoods' fur relaxed. It started looking for the shape of the humpback whale in the water.

Captain Kosto left the captain's room and rushed to the deck, breaking the atmosphere still immersed in the huge shadow of the humpback whale, “My Lord, that was a sea beast just now, you can often see them at sea. They are actually very friendly, rarely attacks s.h.i.+ps and even escorts vessels.”

“I know it is not hostile. I also know that the giants that appear at sea are called sea beasts, but what is a Leviathan?” he asked Captain Kosto.

Kosto replied,  “A Leviathan is a sea monster, just a legend among seamen. A sea snake that preys on s.h.i.+ps, but I've never seen it before… I'm glad I haven't seen it, or I won't see the sun rise anymore.”
