Chapter 13

Chen Mu did not expect Lei Zi to actually be able to join a ‘Card Film’ company, but thinking it over understood. This guy has always had a flexible mind and an articulate mouth. Though Chen Mu did not understand much about screenwriting and such, he still has confidence in Lei Zi’s ability.

“How come you’re dressed like that?” looking Lei Zi up and down, Chen Mu asked, somewhat puzzled.

Lei Zi grinned, boasting: “I am at least considered to be in the arts now; this is the most popular style in our circles.”

Immediately leaning his head in, Lei Zi whispered: “No choice, if I don’t dress like this, I’d be too embarra.s.sed to meet others.”

“How have you been?” Lei Zi asked Chen Mu.

“Still the same as always.” Chen Mu felt his life hasn’t changed.

”Ok ok, I can’t stay and chat, I am going to the company. When you have time, come to my house, I still have three bottles of “Clear Clouds Like Water”.” Quickly meeting, quickly separating…

“Clear Clouds like Water” is a fruit wine with a very light taste that Chen Mu and Lei Zi are very fond of. This wine wasn’t cheap, Lei Zi only had a few bottles remaining now and they were purchased by his adopted parents. Only when Chen Mu vists would Lei Zi bring this wine out.

Chen Mu’s lifestyle once again became simple. However, in his eyes, his lifestyle probably hasn’t changed – practicing “health gymnastics” everyday, making energy cards for a living, and carefully researching magic cards. He does not have that much money to burn in actually making magic cards but his research still brings harvest. Adjusting lighting and shadows, strengthening 3d images, etc… he has at least touched upon the basics.

Everything is going well, with the only thing contrary to his expectation being the “health gymnastics.”

This set of 18 actions took him a full three months to master, even under the premise of practicing four hours a day.

But hard work pays off.

Nowadays, Chen Mu’s body is extremely elastic with his hands, legs, and waist all full of flexibility, able to a.s.sume many strange positions. This is not soft like noodles, but like a wire, pliable with inner strength.

Looking in the mirror, though his bare upper body muscles are not particularly eye-catching, they are very well-proportioned. And as long as he flexes a little, those latent muscles would pop up like steel.

This is the results of his practicing during this time. This body of his greatly pleases Chen Mu, he didn’t think those 18 actions would have such amazing results on his physique. The image in the mirror lets him feel all the hard work was worth it. He doesn’t care about his body’s looks – after all you can’t eat looks. But he values heath greatly plus he can clearly feel that his control of physical force is much better than before. This point can be clearly felt during his production of energy cards. His hands are more stable and more dexterous – three of the 18 actions specifically target dinger dexterity.

“Health Gymnastics” must be exercised every day in the future, Chen Mu decided.

Now that he can easily complete the 18 eighteen actions in one breath action, it is time to re-enter the mysterious card’s illusion training.

Since exiting the illusion last time, Chen Mu hasn’t activated the card.

Pressing the activation b.u.t.ton, Chen Mu once again appeared in that empty dark void.

Eighteen human figures are still going through those same motions from before.

With some antic.i.p.ation and some curiosity, Chen Mu took a deep breath.

His body started to move!

Chen Mu’s body became like a snake, performing one incredible action after another. Whenever he completed an action, the corresponding human figure would dim.

He could not be any more proficient in this set of “health gymnastics,” performing one action after another without the slightest gap nor pause.

Finis.h.i.+ng all 18 movements, Chen Mu slightly panted. Although he was already very proficient, the effort required in these actions is still considerable.

What will happen next? Chen Mu was curious.

After all 18 figures dimmed, Chen Mu’s long antic.i.p.ated change happened!

Two cards! Two cards appeared in front of Chen Mu – one a light blue, the other orange. They lightly glowed, floating in the void.

With his previous experience, Chen Mu was not afraid and curiously reached out to touch one of them. The card he touched was the orange card – the card enveloped in a faint orange glow, soft and warm.

As Chen Mu’s finger touched the orange flash card, it flashed and split into two cards. There is a number on each orange card, one and two.

Chen Mu interested was immediately aroused and his finger touched card one.

“One-Star Magic Card production ……”

This orange card is a complete 1-Star Magic Card production tutorial, with detailed motion pictures of every step. Such complete instruction is definitely a treasure to this “half-Card-Creator” Chen Mu.

If the previous 18 movements just made him curious, this 1-Star Magic Card tutorial is tantamount to priceless.

Too realistic! All the details are exactly the same as in reality. The degree of realism released by this magic card was staggering.

As his mind came out of the shock caused by the realism, he was immediately captivated by this “tutorial!” He eagerly stared, with a hint of greed, at the constantly changing images. In this world, is there anything more attractive to him than this?

All this time, he has been struggling to explore alone; no one else is clearer than him about the sufferings of having no guide. Today there is such an opportunity, how could he give it up? He even feared that if this tutorial only played once and he accidentally misses something, wouldn’t he regret it to death?

The card contained information far beyond his expectations. It not only had a complete tutorial on creating 1-Star Magic cards, it also had many 1-Star Magic Card creation tips. These tips made Chen Mu ecstatic; these tips alone were enough to make his 1-Star Magic Cards improve a level.

“This world really is full of love ah!” Chen Mu subconsciously muttered.

As Chen Mu exited the card illusion, he still felt a bit numb.

The two orange cards were both about 1-Star Magic Card related knowledge, while the pale blue card was also a card making tutorials. However, it was about a card Chen Mu had never heard of, something called a “resource card.”

Chen didn’t feel that odd, the cards he hasn’t heard of were too many.

By evening, he finally calmed down. Now he had a very curious question: Just what is the purpose of this card?

From the initial health exercises to 1-Star Magic Card making tutorial… these two don’t seem to have any relations.h.i.+p.

Never had a stronger curiosity lingered in Chen Mu mind. He wanted to know and understand this mysterious card’s secrets. At least, shouldn’t he figure out what the ultimate goal of this card is?
