After having her breakfast, Li Bingbing went to change into a semi-formal attire. She was now wearing a tie neck ruffle sleeveless blouse and black formal pants. Her hair was styled into a clean ponytail and she had light makeup on.

"Sebby, take care of the house. If Lu Xian Yu tries to do anything strange, notify me." Li Bingbing said as she took her bag.

"Yes, wifey."

Lu Xian Yu frowned. "Who the h.e.l.l is your wife?" He found it annoying whenever Li Bingbing's 2D 'husbands' call her that way.

He turned to her, "Where are you going? Why are you so dressed up?"

"Job hunt. I realized that I need to do something properly for once." She went and wore three inches heels. "I'll be back before you know it. Don't miss me too much, okay?" She winked at him.

Job hunt? What made her change her mind all of a sudden?

He chuckled and walked towards her. "I'll be going out today, let me know if you need anything, I'll fly to your side in no time." He leans down and pecked her lips.

Li Bingbing just gave him a smile without saying anything, even a bye. She just turned and left her place.

She rode a taxi and headed to the Xia company. Li Bingbing has already decided to investigate Xia Sinian 'marriage' life.

She didn't want to believe that he was already married. She wanted to see a solid proof, other than his ring that he really was already taken by someone else. To do this, she must approach him. Even if she was scared of being ignored by him, she would do anything to make him fall for her again.

She actually tried to apply a few times in his company after she graduated before she became a shut-in but for some reason, they would always reject her no matter what. It has been five years since then and was willing to try it out again.

Arriving in the Xia company, Li Bingbing was one of the people that was going to be interviewed that day. She has already set an appointment in advance, that's why she went and waited for her turn to come.

She used a fake name, and she even edited her photo just so that the company won't recognize her, especially Xia Sinian. She was sure that he learned that she was trying to get in his company again, he would surely reject her.

Li Bingbing was a confident person so she wasn't worried about facing the interviewers when her turn arrived.

Her grades in high school and college were above average. One look from it, the staff were able to tell that Li Bingbing was an exceptional person. With the way she answered the questions given by the staff, she obtained a good impression from them.

After leaving the room, she heaved out a sigh in relief. When she saw the faces on the staff before she left, Li Bingbing was able to tell that she had a high chance of being accepted.

All she has to do now was to wait for them to notify her.

When the elevator door slid open after she reached the ground floor, she saw a tall man, standing in front of her.

Xia Sinian was surprised to see Li Bingbing in his company and Li Bingbing was able to notice it.

Li Bingbing tried to remain calm by giving him a smile. "Good morning, Mr. Xia."

Xia Sinian's face instantly became cold. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm applying for a job. This happens to be the closest company from my place." Li Bingbing stepped out of the elevator and it slid closed behind her.

"I hope you won't let our past come in between your decision in accepting me here. I am here to work, nothing else." She knew that the final decision would still be in his hand that's why she tried her best to keep her plans from him. She bowed at him before she pa.s.sed by him.

Li Bingbing took a quick glance on his hand and saw the silver ring on his finger. She clenched her fists upon seeing this. He was still wearing the ring...

Xia Sinian stood there for a while. He was snapped out from his trance when he saw the elevator doors open and his workers started greeting him.

He ignored them. He entered the elevator and went to the top floor. He saw his a.s.sistant by his table so he went to him "Get me Li Bingbing's résumé." After saying that, he entered his office.

"Li Bingbing?"
