Li Bingbing narrowed her eyes upon hearing that the man standing by the door was the Wolf king. He was the reason why Mengmeng was kidnapped and why Lu Xian Yu had to fly to the Azure Republic just to save her.

Lu Xian Yu noticed the changed in Li Bingbing's face. He tightened his hold around her, making sure that she would rush to Han Qinshan and do something unexpected.

Mengmeng went toward the father and son duo, dragging Qinqing with her. She made an elegant bow toward Han Qinshan. "h.e.l.lo, your majesty."

Han Qinshan smiled in amus.e.m.e.nt, "It's nice to see you again, little miss."

Mengmeng beamed happily at him, "Mr. Wolf king, meet my Baobao brother, Qinqing."

Qinqing stared up at the tall guy in amazement, "A real king…" 

Han Qinshan turned to Qinqing, chuckling lightly, "So you are her brother eh?"

Qinqing nodded vigorously, "Yup, I am!"

Han Xukun quietly watched the two children get along with his father. His father seemed to be fond of them and he couldn't help but envy them.

Li Bingbing who was quiet the whole time finally opened her mouth, "You…"

When he felt that Li Bingbing was about to stand up, he pulled her closer to him, taking up all the s.p.a.ce left between them. "No."

Li Bingbing turned her head to Lu Xian Yu, her brows furrowed together. "What do you think are you doing? Let me go."

"I can't." Or else she would definitely do something unimaginable to Han Qinshan. 

Her frown grew deeper, she gritted her teeth and warned him, "Lu Xian Yu."

Why was Li Bingbing so easily irritated all of the sudden? Lu Xian Yu noticed how her att.i.tude was getting worse.

He gently stroked her head, "There, there. Calm down, Bibi."

Li Bingbing pursed her lips together although him stroking her head was slowly working on her. "But Xian Yu…"

Han Qinshan and the kids turned to them. He went and took a sit on the sofa that was before them. 

"I apologize for causing you trouble, Mrs. Lu."

Li Bingbing turned to Han Qinshan and raised a brow.

"The wolf king is a good friend of mine." Lu Xian Yu held her hand, "I actually knew that he was going to take our daughter. Of course, I wouldn't let anything happen to her and he promised that she will be well-protected by his men."

The wolf king was his good friend? He knew that Mengmeng was going to get kidnapped?

Lu Xian Yu lowered his head in guilt, "I am sorry for not telling you about it, Bibi."

"Tell me something, Mr. Lu. Do you trust me?" She asked, raising a brow at him.

He looked at her, "Of course I do, I trust you a lot."

"Then why didn't you tell me about it? You made me worried for nothing!"

Han Qinshan saw how the two was about to get into an argument and having the kids see it wouldn't be good for them that was why he stood up and invited the kids outside.

"Will mama and daddy be alright?" Mengmeng couldn't help but ask with a worried look on her face.

Han Qinshan patted her head, "Don't worry, by the time we come back, they'll be back to normal. Anyway, how about I show you my castle?"

Mengmeng and Qinqing's eyes sparkled in delight. Because of Han Qinshan's tempting offer, just like how any normal kids would react, they went with him.

Han Xukun sighed as he followed behind them. He couldn't believe that they were babysitting them.

"What else are you hiding from me, Mr. Lu?" 

"No more, that's all the secrets I have." Lu Xian Yu kept on holding both of her hands, refusing to let them go.

Well… he didn't want her to suddenly slap, punch or pinch him because of her anger.

Li Bingbing sighed out, "Ah… seriously, you're a headache for me. I think I should be the one who needs to have amnesia."

"Hey, don't say that." He leaned in and kissed her hands, "For once, please stop being a big bully to me."

"Whose fault do you think it is? If you have told me everything from the start, I would not get this angry." She looked away, pouting.

"Okay, okay. I promise not to keep anything from you, even if it's work-related so can we put this behind now?"

"Fine. Now, why don't you cook something for me?" She turned to him with a smile. "I've been craving for your cooking for a while now."

"I'm the one who's sick, shouldn't you be cooking for me and taking care of me?" Lu Xian Yu complained.

"I have already cooked for you." She turned to the bowl of porridge, a sly smirk plastered on her lips.

"Are you sure that you're not planning to kill me?"

She blinked innocently at him, "Why should I?"

Lu Xian Yu heaved out a long sigh, "You're so lucky that I love you if not, I will never tolerate such bullies."

Li Bingbing rolled her eyes, "Yeah, right."

He lightly pinched her cheek, "I'm serious."

She slapped his hand away, "Aren't you a m.a.s.o.c.h.i.s.t?"

Lu Xian Yu's face darkened, "I'm not a m.a.s.o.c.h.i.s.t."

"Uh-huh, as if I'll believe that."

"I'm really not."

"Oh sure, if you say so."
