After bidding goodbye to everyone, Li Bingbing left with her family.

The others soon left but before Lu Xian Yu could leave as well, Xia Meilin went to him, "Brother Xian Yu, wait."

Lu Xian Yu turned and looked at Xia Meilin, "Oh, sister-in-law, what is it?"

Xia Meilin's lips were stretched into a thin line as she hesitated on asking him about his real relations.h.i.+p with Mengmeng. She was actually bothered when she noticed their resemblance earlier. Could he really be Mengmeng's real father?

Little Melon has already taken his sisters to the car, waiting for their parents there.

"Is she your daughter?" asked Lu Yifeng, taking the words out of his wife's mouth.

Xia Meilin turned to Lu Yifeng and stared for him a bit before she returned her gaze to Lu Xian Yu, this time, she looked serious, "Is she?"

A small laugh was heard from Lu Xian Yu, "My brother and sister-n-law are really sharp."

Xia Meilin clenched her fists tight, so her doubts were true. Why? Why would Li Bingbing do that to her brother? Why did she betray him?

"Mengjie is my daughter. Li Bingbing didn't know that she was pregnant of my daughter at first, that's why she has mistaken the child as Xia Sinian's." Lu Xian Yu didn't want Xia Meilin to misunderstand Li Bingbing that's why he said this. "She is loyal to Xia Sinian, she never hanged out with me ever since she got back with him."

"Does my brother know about this?"

"He was the one who told me that Mengjie is my daughter."

Her brother was the one who told him?

"Your brother asked me a favor so now, I am here. Bibi needs someone to be there for her once... he dies. He wanted me to be there for her and the children. He didn't really have to ask me that since I will still do it without him telling me what to do."

While Li Bingbing and her family were on their way to the hospital, the children were already fast asleep.

"The gifts I have for Mengmeng and Qinqing are at home." Xia Sinian said with a small smile on his lips.

"You should have brought it with us earlier."

He chuckled lightly, "You can't blame me if I forgot."

She held his hand and smile, "You should get some sleep, we're still a bit far from the hospital. I will wake you up once we arrive."

Xia Sinian stared at her for a while before he said in his soft voice, "Bingbing, I love you."

"I love you too, Sisi." She replied with a gentle smile on her lips.

Xia Sinian turned to his children who were sleeping peacefully, he reached out and caressed their heads before he leaned against his seat and closed his eyes.

When they arrived at the hospital, Li Bingbing woke up the kids first before she tried to wake up her husband. "Sisi, we're here."

But there was no response coming from him. When she noticed that he wasn't breathing, her body was instantly filled with fear. "Sisi? Sinian?"

Tears started welling up in her eyes when she tried to lightly shake his body but he stayed in the same position with his eyes closed, looking so peaceful as if he was sleeping.

"Papa must be in a deep sleep." Mengmeng said before she held her father's arm and tried shaking it, "Papa, wake up!"

"No... no..." Li Bingbing kept on mumbling, she turned to the driver, "C-Call the doctors! NOW! CALL THEM!!!"

Li Bingbing continued to wake Xia Sinian but it was no use. The nurses and doctors came to take Xia Sinian inside the hospital, Li Bingbing followed them while her children were running after them.

"Mama, what's happening?"

"Mama?"

Mengmeng and Qinqing were so confused. Why was their mother crying? Why was a man pumping their father's chest?

The doctors and nurses stopped after a while and they stood still, "Time of death; 11:46 pm."

"W-what are you saying? Why... why aren't you doing something?!"

"I'm sorry for your loss, ma'am."

Li Bingbing felt like she was being suffocated by someone. Her breathing became ragged and her tears wouldn't stop from flowing down her cheeks as she refused to accept that Xia Sinian was dead. She fell on her knees, it was as if her knees lost their strengths.

Mengmeng and Qinqing became teary because of their mother, they went to her held her hands, "Mama? What's wrong? Please don't cry..."

"Dwon't cry..."

She was already told that Xia Sinian could die any days last week but it was as if he was holding on just to spend his children's birthdays for the last time that he was able to live until that day.

She was told that she should prepare herself but how could she prepare? The pain was killing her! She felt like she has lost a part of herself!

She was never going to be ready for the day that he would leave her. She continued crying and her children cried because their mother wouldn't stop from crying.

The nurses tried to calm them down since the three of them were crying out loud but they only failed. Who knew how long they were crying there until they were suddenly hugged from behind by someone. The three of them were wrapped by strong arms and were enveloped by warmth coming from the man who hugged them.

When Li Bingbing turned her head, she saw Lu Xian Yu's close face. She turned her body and faced him before she cried out loud to him, "He won't wake up, Xian Yu! He won't wake up!"
