Seeing the demon prepare some sort of long range gate spell, Victor decide to act. a.n.a.lyzing the complicated spellformation in a split second Victor found the most effective way to disrupt the formation, then acted accordingly.

"WHAT!?.... FASCINATING, IT SEEMS MAGIC HAS DEVELOPED QUITE A BIT WHILE I WAS LOCKED AWAY."

As his spell was disrupted the demon focused its attention on the puny human for the first time, with the result being that Victor and Terra both almost pa.s.sed out from the sheer pa.s.sive pressure its was emitting.

Quite confused by the sudden proposal Victor didn't know how to respond, therefore he only looked at the creature which completely fell outside the realm of his understanding with questioning eyes, this apparently made the demon laugh quite a bit before it explained.

"YOU WILL BECOME A SPECIAL EXISTENCE THAT IS ABOVE THE OTHERS OF YOUR KIND, WHILE THEY WILL BECOME MARE SLAVES AND SACRIFICES YOU WILL BE ALLOWED TO LIVE IN MY PRESENCE.. OF COURSE YOU CAN BRING YOUR MATE TOO IF THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT, OR JUST PICK A NEW ONE FROM ONE OF THE SLAVES, IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER."

Having explained its proposal in greater detail the formless creature still hidden mostly behind its dimensional event horizon extended a myriad of dark tentacles which formed into an outstretched hand.

"... I don't think so. I would rather just banish you from where you came, then kill that angel who summoned you and be hailed a hero."

Having its proposal rejected in such a rude manner the demon retracted its 'arm' as it formed a bloodthirsty smile and its overbearing presence started to leak out fully.

"VERY WELL… THEN YOU WILL BE REDUCED TO DUST RIGHT HERE."

Without doing anything particular countless dark flames suddenly formed around the demon, the the fist sized flames quickly grew until they could swallow a person whole, then they shoot towards Victor and Terra that was just an unfortunate bystander at this point.

Seeing spell formations and mana structure which he had up until that very second taught merely theoretical, Victor couldn't help but curse he didn't have time to properly a.n.a.lyse the formations as he put up a desperate defence.

"Spell 0204: Sanctuary!"

Shouting out as he created one of his most solid defencive spells, Victor's modified brain and body went into extreme overdrive as he realized the spell in record time. Almost instantly a formless pressure spread out to around 10 meters in front of the magic instructor while he started to form another defensive spell.

"Spell 0012: Phalanx!"

With sweat streaming down his face time slowed down for Victor as the truly gigantic sphere's of pure black fire closed in on him, having almost reached their target even as he had still not finished formulating his defences.

"Spell 0013: Refraction!"

The split second Victor managed to finalize his defences the first of the void fireb.a.l.l.s reached him, as it hit the outermost spell it reduced several magnitudes in size, making the demon pay more attention after it had outright judged the puny human to be doomed. After the some 50 b.a.l.l.s of dark fire hit Victor's outermost defences they continued to blindly seek out their target and hit his second wall of defences where they were further weakened as they hit the final defensive formation. Even as the golden crystal s.h.i.+elds formed the final part of his defences most of them still outright shattered when they come into contact with the demons spell, but they still somehow served their purpose as the some 200 crystal kites.h.i.+elds where annihilated along with the demons void flames.

"Holy s.h.i.+t…"

Having been absolutely sure that she was going to be reduced to ashes, Terra somehow doubted that she was still alive as she was sure she had wet herself a little, she didn't need to check.

"Run!"

Still somehow able to shout through his exhaustion Victor grabbed Terra by the arm as he started opening up the distance.

"A TRULY FUTILE EFFORT."

A bit annoyed that the tiny and puny creatures had survived its first attempt to end them painlessly, the demon pointed one of its serval 'arms' at the running pair, then proceeding to corrupt a large concentration of the ambient mana before a new offensive spell formed. 

"NOW DIE LIKE THE INSECTS YOU ARE."

Deciding that the humans should die a painful death for ignoring its first offer the demon made sure that they would suffer greatly before dying. The spell that took form at the end of its 'arm' looked like something Melisha would construct, only it was on the complete reverse wavelength and emitted a wholly detestable and unholy presence. Taking further shape the spell turned into a thin 5 meter long javelin which rushed forward to fulfill its creators request: To make the puny humans die an agonizing death.

Using the most effective defensive spell in his a.r.s.enal to defend against such an unholy attack, Victor didn't trust in it to fully protect him as he leapt to the side as the javelin hit the edge of the his 10 meter wide defensive zone. . Partly deaf and wholly disoriented from the blast Victor and Terra were both surprised they had survived, the reason they did quickly revealed itself in the form of a smaller sized but extremely smug elver.

"Happy to see me?"

""... What?"

Looking at Lilly moving her mouth as she didn't overpower the strong ringing noise that seemed to be ever present around them, neither Victor nor Terra heard what she said.

"Are! You! Happy! To! See! Me!?"

"What's the plan Lux?"

Completely ignoring Lilly Terra turned towards Lux as her ears slowly stopped ringing.

"We're going to return that 'demon' thing to where it came from. To do that will be quite a long shot so I'll need your utmost, Terra, me and Mare will deal with the pigeon as quickly we can, meanwhile Lilly and Victor will stall the demon for time."

"... What?"

Thinking she must have misheard her commander Terra's expression turned into a large question mark as she walked closer to Lux and presented her one ear so she could hear better.

"You heard correct."

"... You're insane."

Realizing she had not misheard Terra started to wonder if Lux suffered from some sort of affliction, but against the overwhelming evidence that she had, she had actually just shared a battle plan she believed herself to be solid.

"Come on now, fighting isn't that fun if you're not facing proper resistance~"

"You are insane."

"I will take that as a compliment. Now get the f.u.c.k to work cadet, refusal is not an option."

Shaking at the extremely overbearing presence Lux suddenly emitted Terra evaluated if it would be less painful to be killed by her rather than the demon, but in the end she came to the conclusion that facing the demon would be the better option.
