113 Rochdale Aftermatch 5

"What's wrong?"

In the middle of one of her late evening safety lectures Solaris' teacher stopped moving as he got a far off look in his eyes.

"Nothing really, I just really feel like conducting a nuclear strike all of a sudden, can I wipe out the kingdom of Deltas?"

"Not that I'm particularly against that, but you better not. What's going on?"

Sensing there was some sort of underlying reason for her teachers rage Solaris inquired about the reason as her wings fluttered lightly.

"My adorable second in command is being hara.s.sed by some sleazy n.o.bles, they're treating her like some sort of low level PR employee and trying to make her act out of turn so they can demand compensation or start a war."

Explaining it in an easy to understand way Dax waited only a fraction of a second for the archangels response.

"And why is that an issue? Just ma.s.sacre them."

"Aren't you supposed to be some kind of deity?"

"Yeah I am."

While the angle in front of him showed a smug smile as she spread out her wings Dax silently questioned what kind of strange and shameless creature was in front of him.

"Then why the h.e.l.l are you acting like some sort of demon incarnate?"

"..."

"What?"

Being met with silence Dax felt like he must have said something really offensive, and was about to apologize when he saw Solaris form an uncaratarisitc frown, but she spoke out first.

"You seem to have misunderstood something about this world Dax. I don't know how it is where you're from but in this world of magic and monsters the strong rule over the weak."

"Of course I re-"

"No you apparently do not. After all you have taught me and all the times you have helped me, as well as the time we have spent together I consider us friends, so I'll tell you this for free: In this world the strong rule over the weak, but the many always trump the few. That's the case even for us angels, even if we are considered deities we are still mortal. We need food, air and sleep like any other races so if we made an enemy of the entire world, the world would eventually wipe us out. To maintain the balance of the strong and weak the strong need to care for the weak, and the weak need to respect the strong. You and your second in command are obviously strong, while I haven't fought against her I feel like it is very much the case."

"Yeah she is strong, incredibly so."

Giving an instant response to Solaris' estimation Dax displayed the complete and unwavering trust he held in his adopted daughter.

"Then why are you holding her back? I'll repeat it for the third time, in this world the strong rule over the weak. If your adorable second in command is so strong but she's not allowed to show it how will those weaker than her know to respect her? While it is the duty of the strong to rule, they also carry the responsibility to display their strength. Why do you think we angels act like demons sometimes? It is because it is our responsibility to do so. We're strong, but because we live longer lives than the ones weaker than us they tend to forget it often, so we need to remind them, so they don't act out of therm, so they don't start fighting themselves, so they don't hurt themselves unnecessary. That is the duty and responsibility of the strong, and therefore it is also yours, and you share that with your adorable second in command, ever since you both fell into this world."

Having made her point Solaris created a drinking gla.s.s out of golden crystal, then extracted water out of thin air to sate her thirst. Dax in the meanwhile taught long and hard about what Solaris said to him and realized that he had indeed been dealing with the issues he had run into on this planet like he used to deal with them when he was still in the Galactic Empire. While that had been fine when he operated alone, that was no longer the case, if he continued to hide Lux's and his comrades strength they would only continue to be seen as weak, as a target of opportunity.

"This can not stand. Thank you for bringing my own mistake to my attention."

"My pleasure~ Then let's get on with this lesson."

Looking at Solaris briefly as she displayed a uncaratariticaly large, child like smile Dax wondered how they had gone from enemies to this kind of relations.h.i.+p, and a thin smile found a way on his face as well.

"Facing our up and coming rookie fighter is someone I believe all of you ladies and gentlemen know very well. He's our local champion, with a fierce record of 51 kills in 51 matches he leaves no one to question his strength! Please welcome HENRICK!"

(That's not a f.u.c.king champion, its a bloodthirsty f.u.c.king monster!)

Wanting to scream out in frustration Lux stood up on her feet as she looked at the creature that stepped into the arena. It was a six armed bear, standing at over 4 meters tall Lux estimated it to consisted of over a solid ton of pure muscle that was covered by a thick layer of armored fur that was riddled with damage, showing the creatures extensive history in violence. With each of its 6 arms each sporting countless sharp claws that could easily shred heavy armor like it was only paper Lux judged the fangs that filled the creatures mouth could easily crack a skull like it was a grape to be the worst treat the creature held.

"What do you think of my champion?"

Not missing an opportunity to brag count Storm saw how Lux reacted to the six armed bear and interpreted it as fear.

"Looks strong, but wasn't this a martial arts tournament? Suddenly introducing a bear into the mix is in really poor taste where I come from."

Once more leaving somewhat reasonable complaints count Storm was unable to retrot her criticism and therefore changed the topic. The fight proceeded as anyone with even a small knowledge of fighting would come to expect, at first the beastkin did admirably and fought against the six armed bear using her superior speed to make quick strikes but in the end she couldn't price it's thick fur and quickly tired herself out.

"GHA!!!"

It only took a small mistake and the beastkin's body was slashed deeply as she was flinged across the small arena and hit the stone wall behind with enough force that it left small cracks. At the same moment Lux received a message from her reliable commander that made her smile return as she stood up and drew count Storm's attention once again.

"What? Don't tell me you want to save that child? She's legally my property and I can do with her as I wish."

If Lux tried saving the beastkin he could demand compensation for lost income, and if she demanded that the fighting should be stopped it would be a great insult that he could use to have his war, but Lux didn't try to do any of those things.

"That's it, I've had it acting all friendly. 'Be civilized to the civ's'? f.u.c.k that."

Showing a bloodthirsty smile and fierce eyes she cracked her knuckles and turned to count Storm with a truly overbearing presence he couldn't dismiss or deny out of fear.

"You don't mind do you?"

"N-no, go ahead."

Jonathan Storm had no idea what the woman in front of him was talking about, but at the current second he found himself unable to refuse her. Having received permission Lux did a few more light stretches as the six armed bear closed in on the heavily bleeding beastkin, then she jumped into the arena.

"Let me in on the fun too!"

Landing between the beastkin teen and the bear Lux released concentrated bloodl.u.s.t towards the beast, and it responded instinctually by striking out with 3 of its arms.

"Weak!"

Taking a defensive stance Lux skillfully blocked the six armed bear's strike without getting her suit ripped by its claws, then completely dissipated the energy of the strike into the ground and bringing the beast to a momentary stop, and that was all she needed.

"My turn!"

Closing the range instantly Lux struck the 4 meter tall bear center ma.s.s with an open palm strike, the bear in turn lifted a few centimeters from the ground due to the pure force Lux delivered having a slight up curve, and staggered a few steps back while the spectating n.o.bles turned completely silent.

"Come on, it's not a fight if we both don't act! Don't leave me hanging!"

Bouncing around like a boxer on the tips of her feet Lux loosened her tie with a smile on her face. The primitive beast understood her intention, she was making fun of it, that tiny creature that had cowardly ambushed it and tried to steal its meal it had worked so hard for!

"ROOOOOORAAAA!!!"

The beast responded with rage, it dropped its body to the ground and opened its mouth, then charged Lux.

"Really? If that's how you want to go I won't stop you!"

As the bear closed range fast Lux stopped bouncing around on her feet and dug her heels into the dirt as she completely emptied her lungs of air with a sharp breath and her pupils expanded to their limit. When the six armed bear closed the range to 5 steps its fate was sealed, in a flash Lux disappeared leaving deep cracks in the ground below as she kicked up dust that blocked the n.o.bles from seeing the conclusion to the fight that without question had been the most interesting one of the night. But they didn't need to see the results to know what had happened, a moment after Lux had disappeared the wet and deep sound of a six armed bear's skull completely shattering had rung out in the quiet arena, and when the dust cleared the victor was clear.

"Count Jonathan Storm! You have not only failed to entertain me, but you have p.i.s.sed me off!"

Having completely discarded the diplomatic att.i.tude Lux stood firm in the middle of the arena and spoke out to the n.o.bles.

"My name is Lux Jameson, second in command of the most elite military unit there have, and will ever exist! My only question I have before I kill you is this: What are you going to do to make it up to me!?"
