584 Aros Fifth Evolution

I must repay her confidence in me. Its doubtful whether suitable monsters will actually appear in a place like this but if push comes to shove, I also have the means to help her level by turning nearby objects into monsters with [Fake Life], as I did before.

In a sense, the monsters produced from [Fake Life] will be like Aro and the treants siblings. Creating life in order to have something to kill isnt something I want to do at all, but for the sake of Aros and treants safety, I havent got a lot of options.

Aro will have evolved for the fifth time with this. From the F ranked [Wight], then the E rank [Skull Lowmage], D rank [Revaana Mage], C+ rank [Revaana Lowlich], then to B+ rank [Revaana Lich] with her current form. The next one should be around A rank.

She probably wont get a +. Theres a big gap in stats between A rank and rank. Itd be nice if she manages to hit rank, but that seems unlikely. Ive seen so few rank monsters, after all.

I move in front of Aro. As she was born from [Soul AppendmentFake Life], she needs to have it used on her again in order to evolve. Aro closes her eyes, and clenches her fists tightly by her side.

Treant watches Aro anxiously, his branches and leaves waving about in an excited manner.

I roar. The black light from [Soul AppendmentFake Life] starts coiling around Aro. Then, the spiralling black light touches her and is sucked into her body.

The last of the black light vanishes into Aro. Her eyes snap open. The colours of her irises have been altered into a mismatched red and gold. Her outfit has changed into a black dress.

H-Her skills have seriously increased in number! That said, whats with these minmaxed stats?

Her magic power is extremely high as usual, but her HP is terribly low, in compensation for her MP being something outrageous. Its the first time Ive seen an MP value being over twenty times the HP.

I-Is this alright? Wont her HP get reduced to zero by the tiniest mistake?

The characteristic skills that jump out at me are [The Undying Dark], and [Baleful Wings of Ebony]. Could her getting [Flight] be related to her new [Baleful Wings of Ebony]?

I-I see Because of this, her HP is equivalent to her MP in essence, or something like that. Im relieved that I dont have to be worried about her getting her HP reduced to zero from tripping over her feet or something.

The feathers are harder than they look, and are can also be used for offence and defence.

Enables one to create a [Bloodbat] from their own blood.

Vision is shared with the [Bloodbat].

The MP consumption is severe, but if the [Bloodbat] is incorporated back into the body, the majority of MP expended can be recovered.

Ohh! It seems like this would be effective for things like reconnaissance too. Theyre probably a bit like the flies that Beelzebub had been using. Im a little bit concerned about what its going to look like when shes incorporating them back into her body, though.

Normal Skill [Darkness Kaleidoscope]

Enables one to use mana to create a clone of the user that possesses a sense of self.

The MP consumption is severe, but if the clone is incorporated back into the body, the majority of MP cost can be recovered.

I-I see This looks like the self-clone version of [Black Bloodbat] Incorporating sounds somewhat grotesque though

Normal Skill [Ravenous Poison Fangs]

The users entire body opens up, becoming a giant mouth, and then bites down on the opponent in front.

Steals HP and MP from the bitten target, and inflicts a variety of status conditions.

It seems strong, but, giant mouth? Her entire body opens up? It might be better not to think too deeply about it.

Aro asks, her two hands clenched tightly into fists. I give a big nod.
