"That father of mine, he did this on purpose!" Kyle silently murmured to himself. He followed his father's orders because he thought that it will only take him a few minutes, but it's been more than just a few.

By looking at the time, he is already guessing that Anna is already at his father's office. While Anna is already there, here he is, waiting in the waiting line to buy a dessert.

His father manages to convince him to buy this particular dessert. How his father did that? Well, his father used Anna's name, saying that Anna likes dessert, which is true. However, he is wasting too much time waiting in line.

His father must have known that the line would be this long that's why he sent him here in this specific place. 'He's such a schemer!' Kyle inwardly said.

The thought of using his family name to get that dessert would be faster, but when he imagine Anna's face when she finds out that he bought the dessert with his own effort is making him feel happy on the inside.

"Kyle?"

Kyle heard his name being called and knowing who is the owner of that voice, Kyle didn't bother to look to where that person is. 'd.a.m.n it. Our of all places, why does this guy have to be here.' Kyle inwardly complained.

"Hey, Kyle. I know it's you and I know that you heard me. There's no point in trying to act that you didn't hear me." Basing on that tone, Kyle knew that this person is displeased by his behavior, but he wouldn't care less about what he feels.

"Go away, Zedrick," Kyle said firmly to him.

"Oh, come on! This is the first time I've seen you in a long time and you're already dismissing me? Where's the love, brother?" Zedrick said teasingly.

He and Kyle went way back in their high school days. They were friends, but he is not as close to Kyle as Erik is. The three of them were always together, but when college started, he is the only one who went on a different route.

Zedrick even plans to invite his high school buddies to have some fun, but he didn't expect to see Kyle so soon.

"Love? I don't need to give you any love. You're annoying." Apart from Erik, there is another annoying person in his life, and that is Zedrick.

Zedrick is alike with Erik, these two likes to flirt with girls. It truly makes him wonder how did he end up being friends with them. All in all, he has no one blame to blame for that but himself. He's the one who let them enter his life.

"My heart is breaking hearing you say that." Zedrick acted as if he has been deeply hurt by his friend's words. Then, he looks around and saw the long line Kyle is in. "By the way, what are you doing here?"

"None of your business."

"I've never known that you're interested in desserts, especially the sweet ones." No matter how many times Kyle says to him to get lost, Zedrick has decided to spend more time with him. "You know, if you really want to have that dessert, you could just say that you're a Robertson and you deserve to be first in line or something like that."

Zedrick knows that Kyle is the type of person who can't tolerate this kind of crowded places. He can't understand why Kyle is even putting up with this.

"I don't want to use my family name for this." Kyle simply said.

"Eh? You're putting so much patience for this. At least tell me why you don't want to use the fastest way to have that dessert." In Zedrick's opinion, Kyle shouldn't be wasting his time on a dessert. Besides, from what he heard from Erik, Kyle is busy doing his training and college activities.

"I want her to know that I didn't just rely on my family name just to get this dessert." Although Kyle said it like a murmur, Zedrick was still able to hear it. The way is sounded into his ear, it seems like Kyle is being way too serious about getting this dessert.

From Zedrick's understanding, Kyle is being childish, which shocked him, but what shocks him the most is that the reason why Kyle is doing this is because of a 'her.'

"A girl? You're doing this because of a girl?" Zedrick asked. Zedrick didn't hear anything about a connected to Kyle from Erik. He and Erik call each other whenever they have the time, and never once he heard that there is a girl involved in Kyle's life now.

"Yes. Did that answer all your questions? If so, then, go away and find someone else to bother." By the time Kyle said that he is already in front of the cas.h.i.+er. It's way too late to send Zedrick away, and that really annoys him.

"The food is getting cold. I don't think that Kyle will like to eat this anymore." Anna has been waiting for too long, and Kyle has not yet arrived. For some reason, Anna got this feeling that Kyle got tricked by his father.

"Don't worry about him, Anna. I'm sure that my brother will still eat your cooked food whether it's hot or cold." Knowing how affectionate is her brother is to Anna, it's not that hard for Lannie to guess that her brother will not hesitate to eat the food Anna made for her brother.

Anna and Lannie chatted and in the middle of their conversation the person they all been waiting for to come have finally arrived, but they did not expect him to bring someone along.

Anna looked shocked staring at the person standing next to Kyle and without her knowing she called out that person's name, "Big brother Zedrick?"

Zedrick heard a girl's voice calling him, and by instinct, he immediately looks at where that sweet voice came from. Same as Anna, he is also shocked. "Anna!" He said then, he runs towards Anna and hugs her tightly.
