358 Revenge 359: I'm A Proud Father

Since Nathalia spoke out loud, Elizabeth can't rebuke back to her like she always does. As annoying as it is, Elizabeth replied back, continuing her act like what Nathalia said. "Nathalia, I have no idea what you are talking about. I am always like this everyone, there is no need for me to act."

Nathalia shrugged and said, "Whatever you say, Elizabeth." Right now, Nathalia would not mind it if Elizabeth wants to continue her act because soon, once the pageant event comes, Elizabeth's true nature will show itself.

'Elizabeth, when that day comes, don't come to me and blame me for what is going to happen because my dear Daddy already told you not to show your face around or bad things will happen. But as hard-headed as you are, you disobeyed Daddy's warning.' Nathalia inwardly said to herself.

"Come now," Elizabeth lead the way for Ilana and they both left the place.

"Finally. They are seriously polluting the air." Zen exaggerated. He heard from Anna that Ilana should be someone he should not have any contact with, and now that she's in contact with Elizabeth, now more than ever, Zen will be careful.

Who knows what kind of scheme they both are gonna come up with.

"They are. But what can we do? They are who they are." Now that Anna already warned her brother about Ilana, she wouldn't be bothered by that troublesome right now because it seems like her uncle is making his moves secretly now.

"Anyways, my dear sister, what are we gonna do about the man I met yesterday?" The moment Aaron got home, he and his sister work on finding out the ident.i.ty of the man who went to visit their uncle James.

What they found about him is quite interesting and it makes their blood boil in both excitement and anger.

"Don't worry brother. We have something to drag him into a corner. And as soon as we do that, we will make him talk about everything he and our dear uncle talked about." Yesterday, when Anna and Aaron found out the ident.i.ty of that man, Anna was surprised and she almost felt like she couldn't breathe because of the steaming anger inside her.

That man her brother saw talked to yesterday is the same man who she saw talking to her mother before that so-called accident happened. Now that she knows that this man is a.s.sociating with her uncle, Anna has this huge hunch that he took part in her mother's death.

'First Ilana, and now, this man shows up. I can't help but think that Ilana and this man have something in common towards each other.' Anna wants to think that the man and Ilana do not have any connection to each other, but it's hard not to think it like that.

With a smirk plastered on his handsome face, Aaron spoke. "So, when are we gonna do that?"

"Brother, we are not gonna wait that long."

"Wait. You want to announce that I'm alive and ready to take charge of the family business?" Arion asked in a surprised tone, and clearly, he is not happy about the news he just heard from his wife.

"Yes. Is there any problem with that, my dear husband?" Mary raise an eyebrow when she heard that question from her husband. It is as if she just heard a stupid question from him.

"Yes. There is a problem with that!" He replied in a matter of fact tone. "My dear beautiful wife, I want you to take charge because taking charge fits you. It shows that you can do any successful man can."

Truthfully said, he would rather have his wife not to tell the public that he is alive and well. If his wife will have to tell the truth to everyone that he is alive, then he will be bombarded with a lot of questions from the press. Also, there will be a lot of rumors circling about him about his disappearance if that happens. For instance, he had an affair, his wife went against him, or maybe worse rumors might go fly around.

There is no guarantee that people won't talk. They will talk and they will always talk.

"Arion, we can't keep hiding the fact that you are alive from everyone. Sooner or later, someone will able to find the truth about you. It's better if we say it ourselves about you." Mary knows that concerns about telling the public about Arion, but if they keep it as a secret for so long, the rumors that will go around will be worse than what they think now.

"But, my love," Aaron wanted to add more, but Mary silences him with a glare.

"I don't want to hear another excuse from you. I know you very well, Arion." Except for the fact that they both have concerns about what will the public say about Arion's comeback, Mary knows that the main reason for Arion not willing to tell the public about is that he does not want to return to his seat as the one leading the family business. "This seat that I'm sitting on right now does not belong to me."

The husband and wife are currently inside the office of the CEO, and apparently, Mary has not yet done with any of the paper works her a.s.sistant gave her. She blames all this because her husband keeps on pestering her.

"Fine. You got me. But you have to understand, my dear wife, you sitting in that seat really suits you. And I'm too lazy to lead this business." Arion's response only made Mary broke the pen on her hand. She's angry at the fact that her husband is acting like an irresponsible person.

"Arion, I don't want any of these headaches anymore. So please, take it back. It's yours from the very beginning anyway." For all the years of her running the family business, all she gets is headaches. And the headaches only got worse when there is a secret scheming move happening inside the company.

'Seriously. When I get my hands on those b.a.s.t.a.r.ds, I'm gonna make sure they feel the pain that I'm feeling because of them.' Mary inwardly swore.

"How about this, we give this responsibility to our son since we both don't want to do any more of this. I'm sure that he is going to do a fine job." Arion confidently said. However, as soon as he said that, Mary threw the broken pen on her hand to Arion's head.

Arion did not have the time to dodge it and got hit. He is now groaning in pain.

"Be honest to me, husband, are you trying to get on my nerves right now?" At this point, Mary has no clue if her husband is trying to get on her nerves or he is just being serious. Either way, Arion did a good job of making her angry right now. "You and I are getting along these past few days, but don't push it, my love. You don't want to face the consequence."

Feeling threatened by his wife, Arion nodded obediently. "If my wife wishes for me to come back and work, then I will do it." For the past few days, he has been working hard just to get rid of the cold treatment he's having from his wife, and now that the cold treatment is gone, he does not want to risk anything to bring that back.

In the moment of their short silence, Mary's phone suddenly beeped. She took it out and looked at the message. On that message's content, it's only a picture of an unknown man and James exchanging folders.

From the picture alone, Mary is suspicious of James now.

"Your brother is really something," Mary said as she shows the picture to her husband.

Arion didn't reply, but his eyes turned cold when he saw the picture. The moment he and his big brother met again for the first time in years, he senses something different from the way he treated him.

It's breaking his heart that his suspicion on his big brother is slowly proving true. "Who sent you this picture?" Arion asked.

"I have no idea who. The sender is anonymous."

"Do you think we can still track down the sender of this photo? I would like to talk to that person." Arion has a hunch on who sent this photo to his wife, but he would rather stay silent until he confirmed that he is right.

"I am trying right now, but the sender immediately turned ghost after sending that picture." After giving her phone to her husband, Mary immediately turned on her computer and tried to track down the sender, but she failed. No matter how many times she tries, the result is still the same.

"If this is the twins' doing, then I'm a proud father," Arion mumbled.
