Chapter 340 - Revenge 341: I Am Still As Handsome As Ever

"Anna, wounding your face is very unforgivable. Are you sure that cat is getting enough punishment?" Listening to every word that Anna is saying, Marcus, understood what Anna is really saying. He wonders if that cat is really having its punishment.

"Well, to be perfectly honest, I'm only predicting that the cat is getting its punishment. But if my prediction is wrong, then I still have a lot of chances to punish that cat." Right now, Anna is not worried if Rebecca is getting tortured or not. All she cares about is the dinner that is going to happen in a matter of minutes.

"That's good to hear," Marcus said as he tries to keep himself calm. He really hates it when someone hurts one of his family members. And it is his rules that no one is allowed to get away from hurting one of the Colemans without getting hurt in return.

As Anna's father is checking up on her, Anna looks around the room and saw Kyle silently staring at her. She felt that Kyle's stare is burning right through and it's making her blush.

Noticing that Anna's gaze is on someone else, Arion suddenly felt an urge to kick out that someone. But he couldn't do it because he is afraid of angering his wife further and it might also upset his daughter. 'If I could just do it my way, this kid would be kicked out of this mansion since earlier.' Arion inwardly commented.

"Anna, come and sit beside Kyle." Kyle's mother, Layla, said in a cheery voice. Although her son is not telling her anything, she can tell that things are getting better between Anna and Kyle. With that in mind, she's getting more excited than she was before.

"What? You want my daughter to sit beside him?" Arion asked with a frown plastered on his face. "Nope. Not gonna happen. She's sitting beside me or beside her brother. Those are the only options she has." He's already stopping himself from kicking Kyle out, but letting his daughter sit beside him is something he does not want to happen and won't let it happen.

"Oh, just shut up, Arion." Layla's att.i.tude towards Arion changed in a whole degree turn. "You don't have the right to say that. Let the children be." In Layla's point of view, Arion does not have the right to be so strict when he didn't even listen to anyone and just makes his move towards Mary in every chance he gets back then.

Layla is not upset or angry at Arion for disappearing for so many years, but she is shocked that Arion did that.

Ever since she discovered that Mary and Arion started to get together, she always thought that Arion is the type of person who couldn't bear to leave his family. However, she is wrong about Arion. Although what Arion did is for his family's sake, it still doesn't change the fact that he left for so long.

"What's this? Are you showing your nasty att.i.tude, Layla?" Arion asked with a sarcastic expression plastered on his face. "And here I thought you've changed."

Stan who heard that comment from Arion couldn't help but gasp. He wants to show a thumbs up to Arion for being so daring, but he is not daring enough to do it because he is afraid of his wife's temper.

Layla's expression turned dark when she heard that from Arion. She didn't like or hate Arion back then, but there is one thing that she did not like about him, and that would be his bluntness. That characteristic of Arion is the main reason why she chose not to interact with him too much.

"Oh, please, don't talk to me like that as if you have changed. You did not change at all." Layla replied.

"Of course, I have not changed. I am still as handsome as ever." With that kind of remark from Arion, Layla snapped. Arion knew what she is referring to, but just went and said something that really makes her turn to her old self.

Turning her attention towards Mary, Layla asked her a serious question. "Seriously, Mary. What did you even see in this b.a.s.t.a.r.d? Yes. He is handsome and all, but that just about it."

"To be honest, I don't really know what I saw on him." Now that Mary is hearing that question from Layla, she is starting to question herself. What did she saw in Arion?

Arion is handsome, and almost everything. Arion is the type of guy that every woman dreamed to have as a husband. Before Mary met Arion, she always thought that the type of partner she will be spending her life with is going to be a simple man with a good job. But after meeting Arion, everything has turned out to be so unexpected.

"Mary, I really hope things will turn out good for you in the end," Layla said in a sympathetic tone. She is expressing that she feels bad towards Mary for marrying a man like Arion.

"I hope so too, Layla."

"Is that how you're gonna play it, Layla? Fine. Game on." Somehow, Arion is glad that Layla is the type of person who doesn't like to share stories about her embarra.s.sing moments, and of those moments is where he is present to see it. Turning his attention towards Stan, Arion continues to speak. "Stan, did you know that there was a time that you're wife—"

Without a warning, Layla threw the cup in her hands to Arion. However, Arion avoided it. Right at this moment, she is desperate for wanting to sew his mouth. There is only one embarra.s.sing moment in her life that only Arion knew, and that moment is the very one she does not want anyone to know.

"I'm warning you, Arion, to shut that mouth of yours," Layla said in a warning tone.

While Arion and Layla are having their moment, Anna went and sat down next to Kyle. She doesn't have the energy to listen and stop her father from picking a fight with Kyle's mother. She would rather relax and mind her own business.

"Who did this to you?" Kyle asked, and it's clear in his tone that he is holding himself back from showing that he is angry.

"A cat," Anna replied.

"Who?" Kyle asked again in a firm tone. Kyle really wants to know who wounded Anna's face, he also wants to smash that person's face for hurting Anna. His urge to do that is so strong that he is at the edge of wanting to go out and find that person.
