Chapter 339 - Revenge 340: A Cat Scratch My Face

"You two! Where have you been?!" Tess asked as soon as she saw the twins. "You two are the only ones who are not present at the moment! I can't believe this." Anna and Aaron are the only ones who are everyone are waiting for.

Tess thought that the twins will be able to come home early. But it seems like she is wrong. She has been feeling nervous since the moment the Robertson family came. She doesn't like the look Elijah Robertson is making while waiting for the twins.

She's afraid that Elijah will make a bad comment about the twins, and she does not want that to happen because Elijah has such a big influence on the public's opinions. Even though the twins are a member of the Coleman family, they are still young and people still doubt the twins' capability. And with just one word from Elijah, it could make a huge on the twins' future.

"There was a traffic that's why we're later, Nanny Tess," Aaron said, however, his excuse is good enough to fool Tess.

"Aaron, I may old, but that does not mean that I can be fooled by such an excuse," Tess replied with a serious expression on her face.

"I told you not to say that excuse," Anna whispered to her brother.

On there way here, she and her brother talk about the excuse they should say. However, they could not come up with one good excuse. They also talk about the excuse they should not say, but obviously, her brother already forgot about their talk.

"It's better to have an excuse, you know?" Aaron whispered back.

"Yeah. But sometimes, it's better to not say anything at all." In life, sometimes staying silent is better than saying anything at all.

"Anna! Aaron! Stop whispering to each other. Go and apologize to our visitors now." Nanny Tess once again reminded the twins that they should hurry and see that guests. It will really rude of them if they keep making the guest waiting.

"Your grandchildren sure love to make us wait, Marcus," Elijah said with a smile on his face, but clearly, he is not pleased by what is happening.

"Elijah, don't talk as if you've never made anyone wait for you," Marcus spoke as he places the cup on his hand to the table. "Have you forgotten that when you were at the same age as them, you're always to any occasions."

What Marcus is trying to say is that in his opinion, it's only natural for teenagers like the twins to get distracted because just like him and Elijah, they were like that way back then.

"I was foolish and young back then. And you should teach your grandchildren to learn from our mistakes." Elijah reminded Marcus that this kind of behavior that the twins are showing is not gonna end up good.

Back when he and Marcus were still young, they both get into all sorts of trouble and end up causing their family name in hot news frequently. Both their parents didn't like that, so they end up getting punished for every trouble they did.

The reason why Elijah is strict with his own son and grandchildren is because of his experience of causing problems in their family name. He thought that Marcus would do the same for his son and grandchildren, but apparently, that is not the case.

Marcus' son, Arion, has been gone missing for years and almost everyone believes that he is dead. And now that he is back, it's going to be a hot topic all over the place. All sorts of rumors will fly around like Arion is having an affair that is why he has been missing, or Arion has done something that is why he pretended that he is dead.

Sorts of rumors will cause the Coleman family to have headaches. And if his grandson wants to have a connection with Anna, then it will also affect his family in some ways. 'Problems that these Colemans do.'

"Elijah, my grandchildren are still young. There are things that they can do now and can't do in the future. All I can do for them is a guide to a better path." Marcus started. "Besides, why are so grumpy today? Dinner is not gonna start for another hour."

The reason why Marcus invited the Robertson family so early is that he wants his family and Elijah's family to interact longer. And he is sure that Elijah knows his real reason.

"That is right, grandfather. You should just enjoy each other's company. I'm sure Anna and Aaron were doing something important that's why they are not here yet." Lannie said softly.

Since they go to the same school, Lannie knows what happened earlier. And truthfully she was not in a good mood when she heard that Rebecca harmed Anna. She even gossips that Rebecca was accusing Anna of ruining her life, and Lannie believes that was the case since Anna once told her that Rebecca will get what she deserves.

As much as Lannie wants to proudly say that it was Anna's doing, she couldn't because it will only do harm on Anna's side. And she wouldn't want that to happen.

"Important? They both are only teenagers. Other than their studies, what other things could be more important things they have to do?" As far as Elijah knows, Marcus wouldn't let his grandchildren enter the organization until they are at the right age, and with that in mind, it never occurred to his mind that Anna and Aaron are already a part of it.

"I'm deeply sorry that you're not pleased by us, Elder Robertson." Anna's voice is suddenly heard in the room. Everyone turned their head around and saw the twins.

"Anna! What happened to your face?" Arion who has been silent the whole time exclaimed when the moment he saw the small wounds on her face. "Who did this to you?" It's hard for Arion to believe that someone actually harmed Anna's face when she can actually defend herself from any harm.

"So you two went to have a fight first before coming back home?"

"Elijah, I think I like you better if you just shut your mouth." Marcus coldly said to Elijah. "Don't you just run your mouth without confirming the truth from my grandchildren." Marcus wouldn't mind Elijah saying that if it's the truth, but if his grandchildren are not saying anything yet, it's better for Elijah to keep his mouth shut.

"What happened to your face?" Arion repeated his question.

"A cat scratch my face." Anna retraces the wounds on her face, and a small smirk appeared on her face. "Don't worry, Daddy. That cat is getting its punishment now." If she had predicted it right, Rebecca is in someone's hands right now and is getting what she deserves right at this moment.
