6 Chapter 6:

For my Alpha.

"Navalina! What a lovely show you gave to the crowd!" He clapped happily when I narrowed my eyes and leaned away from the bathroom door. His excitement giving me hope that he didn't notice anything out of the ordinary and that the dead body covered their scents.

Never have I been so happy that there was a dead body in my presence.

"I'm not in the mood. Can you leave me alone?" I snarl angrily as he c.o.c.ked an eyebrow at me and glanced around the bedroom. The way he was looking at my things made my stomach fall into a pit, the thought of him trying anything sent my nerves in a frenzy.

"I've given you everything-"

"Stolen my freedom-"

"And you treat me in such a way?" He questions, ignoring my previous statement and dropping down in my bed. "What have I done to deserve this treatment? You do remember our deal with our little Xenon? I can very well order more of my spies to bring her back." The a.s.sa.s.sin points out while I sucked in a deep breath and narrowed my eyes at him.

This is why I f.u.c.king hate witches and mages...

"There's more a.s.sa.s.sins in the coven...?" I question, my voice loud enough for them to hear me from the restroom but not enough to be suspicious.

"Of course dear. I have them everywhere, whether they are in the coven, in the woods around people, even your pack. They're everywhere and you don't even know it." He stopped for a moment, his grin rising in a sinister way. "You should know, you've killed many in your times of being a rogue." He points out, getting up from the bed and taking a few steps towards me.

"Yes. I slaughtered each and every one of them with pleasure." The smile on my own face made him scowl and stop coming towards me. Good.

"Must you be difficult? Get dressed in this." He thrust clothing at me that I didn't even notice he had before and looked at him confused. "I'll be back later for you. We have a party to attend and you're my first lady. Our deal also starts tonight, so look nice or I'll make you look nice." He warns in a dark voice and leaves me with my final thoughts.

Once the door was closed, the men came from the restroom just as I was throwing the dress on the bed.

"Son of a b.i.t.c.h!" I yelled angrily, wanting nothing more than to hit something while my Alpha grabbed my arm before I could cause damage to anyone.

"Calm down, Nava. We'll be long gone before that man can back for you." The mage tells me seriously when I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

"He'll be back whether we leave or not, I'll be back here. If I leave I risk my Luna and Alpha and if I don't leave I risk my sanity and life." I thought out loud and smiled more to myself. "I guess I'll have to kill the leader, tonight or never." My anger rolled off me in waves before I spun around to the men and grinned happily. "Pamper me up! I'm attending a party and slaughtering people!"

〰〰〰

I brushed a lock of my hair behind my hair and fixed the tight braid I did while noticing the unamused men staring my way. The thought of them seeing me during my job made me cringe but I waved it away.

"Don't look so amused boys. Once I leave, you will slip away and meet up with the contact. I will merely kill these f.u.c.kers once I get in bed with the leader." I shrug, pulling a strand of my bangs and letting them frame my face that had some cuts.

The dress I was wearing exposed my back which had a long slash of darkness from when I was. .h.i.t with the dark magic. The wound still aching and burning but didn't stop the excitement thrumming through my veins at the thought of killing the man who's been tempting me for the last few days.

It'll be worth the f.u.c.k if I can get away with it.

"I forbid you from doing this." The mage snaps finally surprising both of us. His blue eyes were sharp with anger and hurt from my plan but it wasn't like he could seduce the leader so there was no other way.

A woman's charm is her best quality.

Even if I don't have the best one...

"Forbid me? You're funny, mage." I comment with a small chuckle and left the restroom, the tight red dress revealing the lack of nutrition I've had. Not that it mattered, what mattered is if I looked good enough and by the look the mage was giving me.

I looked f.u.c.king great.

"I'm your soul mate-"

"You are nothing to me." I hiss at him before collecting myself and looking towards my Alpha. "Make sure he does nothing stupid. It'll make me weak." I said when he nodded in agreement, he may not agree with my plan but this was the only way to keep his mate out of harm's way.

Luckily, I was able to manipulate him with that fact.

Moon G.o.ddess, forgive me if I survive tonight...

"He can't stop me. Not from protecting you." The mage snarls at me, his blue eyes wavering from losing control as my Alpha and I shared a look.

We burst into laughter, the mage's cheeks flaming in embarra.s.sment while I felt my ribs hurting from being newly healed. The mage was trying to grab our attention once again but it wasn't working.

The thought of him actually beating my Alpha in a fight only made me laugh more.

"Stop laughing at me!" He whines out loud while we crackled into more laughter. I leaned against the bathroom door, trying to steady myself on my feet but failing miserably and falling on the ground.

"Th-The thought of you actually beating my Alpha in a fight?! Ha! You are merely a weak mage!" I laugh out, though my words causing pain to roam into his blue crystals.

"You don't know whether I am weak or strong." He grounded out as I smirked up at him and stood up.

"Oh yeah? You really think you are strong?" I question him and took a few steps towards him. "I think you are just as weak as the next man. My Alpha is the strongest man as well as my mate that died protecting me. You are just a man that wants to f.u.c.k me because he feels a 'special bond.'" I rolled my eyes and brushed my fingertips against his flimsy arm.

His pathetic veins were revealed from underneath his skin from clenching both his fists, the blue in his eyes flas.h.i.+ng l.u.s.tfully when I leaned up to feather a kiss to his neck.

The action caused him to shudder and the anger he had was released in a second making me smirk and lean away quickly. A growl escaping him at the loss but my stomach fluttered in pleasure at his reaction.

"Weak, vulnerable, and shy. What is a woman like me supposed to see in you?" The question seemed to shatter his whole being and I knew that I hit a sore spot. Those words will be the ones that will save him in the end.

I have a low probability of living past tonight and he needs to hate me in order to get over me.

We stared at one another as he tried to hide his sorrow and pain but was doing a horrible job at it. His blue eyes reminded me so much of Barack that it almost made me reveal how deeply my wolf wanted a mate's comfort.

His comfort...

No.

Not with a mage.

Barack is my only mate.

My one and only love.

I heard the click of the a.s.sa.s.sins boots on the ground, coming straight for my room before I threw both of the men back into the bathroom. My Alpha gave me a swift nod and locked the door when I fixed my hair.

The door quickly swung open as I flipped my long braid over my shoulder and patted it down my neck. My eyes curiously finding the leader standing beside a few a.s.sa.s.sins I've never seen.

"I thought I was your only guest," I note when he smirked and nodded.

"Yes. My only lady guest. Come, Navalina. We will set out now if you are fully ready." The leader nods to me, holding his hand out to me while I smiled softly and nodded.

"Okay. This is the best I could do without any hair things and what not. I hope it pleases you and your men." I motion to the gawking men beside him, all three of them wearing a tux that made them look half normal.

"Right. Where are my manners." He cleared his throat with embarra.s.sment and held his hand up to the man on his left. "This is Dylan Banks, one of my good friends." The black haired man that had kind light blue eyes waved at me happily as the leader nodded to the man on the right. "That is Andrew Alverez, he's actually the one who controls this place. I am one of the leaders of the league, my name is Ian Falcon." The leader finally introduces when I nodded and held my hands to both men.

"Nice to meet the both of you. I am Nava. Though you both probably know me." I shrug as they shook my hand.

"Yes. We both are fans of yours but we're told that Ian here has eyes for you." Andrew points out, nudging Ian before Ian snarled at Andrew dangerously.

"Back off Alverez," Ian growls defensively surprising me.

Well, he's not denying it.

"Well if you're denying it. I don't mind Miss Nava being my lady for the night." Dylan nods, his grin looking devious when I laughed and shrugged once again.

This was playing out perfectly.

"I didn't think I was so popular. I'd gladly hang out with you Mr. Banks if I am a bothersome to Ian." I agree with Dylan, the look on his face s.h.i.+fting into surprise at me playing along with him.

"Whoa whoa. Hold o-"

"May I, Miss Nava." Dylan held out his arm out to me like a gentleman making me laugh and grab it.

"You may." I nod, letting him lead me out of the room with Andrew snickering in laughter and Ian fuming in anger. I wasn't sure whether to be happy at all the attention or not, but with Ian's little crush on me.

This was going perfectly.
