Chapter 9: Blind Dates

The Dean was shocked by She Yuan's brazenness. He had known She Yuan for many years but still knew next to nothing about this side of his character.

Although he was somewhat stunned by She Yuan's reason to be away from work, the Dean decided to give She Yuan every support so that this unmarried Alpha, who was above the average age for marriage, could get married as soon as possible.

If She Yuan continued staying single, the elderly professors of Law School would arrange blind dates for him.

In recent years, as the Omega Protection Act became more and more perfect and the study of the pheromone inhibitor became more and more in-depth, many rich, outstanding Omegas preferred to buy sperms from sperm banks so that they could have babies by artificial insemination. They wouldn't like to be slaves to their desires and be judged as a mere appendage to their spouses. So they refused to get married.

With the development and progress of human society, marriage and fertility rates were on the decrease, which made the government worry about the future development of human beings. So, every couple who were willing to get married and have kids, would be fully supported by their superiors. So, the school leaders wouldn't refuse She Yuan's application, even if he asked for three years' leave, let alone three months' leave.

After his application for leave was approved, She Yuan called his colleagues and asked them to take over his work. Then he lay down on the bed without anxiety.

He switched his home robot to the doctor mode, applied some ointment to the wounds to reduce swelling, and then ordered the robot to bandage his legs.

The robot scanned his leg and drew a conclusion that it didn't need to be bandaged. Troubled, the robot refused to do as he asked and said in a cold, mechanical voice, "Master, you are almost uninjured. You do not need to bind up your leg."

"I need a bandage."

Holding a medical kit in its mechanical arms, the robot spun and tried to stepped back. "Am I sick? I didn't detect any serious injury in your leg. You don't need to bind up your leg."

She Yuan pulled the robot back and said, "I need!"

The robot struggled and kept shaking its head. Finally, She Yuan ran out of patience. He took a big bundle of gauze from the medical kit and wrapped it around his leg himself. Obviously, he was bad at dressing the wounds. Now his leg looked like having been run over by a truck, big and swollen. But in fact, he had only fallen down the stairs and received minor injuries.

The robot moved around She Yuan, used the detector to scan his s.h.i.+n again and finally seemed to understand a little bit. "Master, I guess you are feeling cold, right?"

She Yuan was too lazy to explain to the robot, so he shut it down directly.

He looked down at his bandaged leg which was now twice the size of its normal shape and looked swollen. Satisfied, he took a picture of his leg and sent it to Ruan Bai.

Ruan Bai was now staying in his bedroom. Suddenly, his optical computer tinkled. It was a message from She Yuan.

Ruan Bai caught his breath as he saw the picture. "Oh, my G.o.d! He must suffer a lot."

He held Dave in his arms, put his optical computer in front of Dave and scolded, "Look at this. He has a broken leg because of you. You started all the trouble."

Dave gave a snort of disapproval and wanted to tell his master that She Yuan must be lying. He was just a puny pig and had no ability to hurt a strong Alpha.

But when he saw She Yuan's profile picture-- that large snake, Dave lowered his head silently and let his master vent his anger on him.

With a serious face, Ruan Bai sent She Yuan a short message, "Mr. She, does your leg still hurt?"

"Yes(┭┮﹏┭┮)."

He used an emoticon to express his feeling.

"Mr. She, I'm sorry about this afternoon. I left your flat so hurriedly because I suddenly remembered that I had a family matter to deal with. Tomorrow I will go to your house on time. If you need help, just call me. Once again sorry for what Dave did to you. I'm really sorry. "

"That's all right. Please come earlier tomorrow. I need your help."

"... Okay."
