54 Looking Forward

It has been a long time since anyone else has ever been able to step inside their young master's room except the late wife of their young master. Unless….well, miss Mi Rong doesn't really count as an outsider anymore then.

The housemaid gradually gave out a smile that even her wrinkles were visible. The housekeeper's face was pale and he didn't dare stay in front of his young master's door any longer.

When the housemaid was about to ask a question, the housekeeper had hastily hushed her. He then decided that they shouldn't linger around any longer, so he quickly dragged the housemaid away. This was not their business to get involved in; it's best to leave it to the young master.

The housekeeper did not forget to instruct the housemaid to never tell anyone and emphasized on outsiders. However, the exception was only if grandma Feng who is the master of this house asked what happen then it should be truthfully told.

As the housekeeper rushed downstairs, he thought to himself that would the Feng family be having a joyful event coming soon?

If so, it would be much better, the past year had been days of sad occasions. Having a joyful event in a long time would great.

He too couldn't keep his smile in. When he arrived to inform to grandma Feng; he was also smiling. "Mother Feng, young master Feng and miss Mi Rong have both been informed and would be joining soon mam."

While grandma Feng observed the housekeeper's facial expression; she could stop thinking why did he look so happy. What could have happened?

She'll have to ask later on. However, it didn't stop grandma Feng and Xia Yun from their happy hopes for Jun Kai and Mi Rong as both of them were simultaneously not present at the moment. Guesses were the pair were actually spending time together, although it seemed completely impossible for a person like Jun Kai.

Nevertheless, it was just a joke between grandma Feng and Xia Yun. It started ever since they the day of Xia Yun's café's opening ceremony. They were like a match made in heaven.

Grandma Feng then turned to the guests that have arrived, "Aiyoo, these two have made you both wait. I hope it won't make you too angry at them. They really are taking their time."

Xia Yun also responded with the same joking tone that grandma Feng used; seemingly to have understood grandma Feng's hint of Jun Kai and Mi Rong, "Aiyoo, grandma, I've been waiting on her all these years; it wouldn't hurt if I waited on her a little more? Who knows she might be throwing a bouquet of flowers to me one day."

They both laughed at their small joke. Little did they know that their guesses had been on point. ;)

On the other hand, the guest who had just arrived was giving a big smile and showed no comment on the topic. As he smiled, his eyes were hardly visible; however, if they were then one would be able to see the coldness that could make one s.h.i.+ver from just seeing it.

He gave out a smile that never reached his eyes, but was perfectly concealed from everyone else never to be known.

Finally, I get to see you again, Rong-er. His eyes became even wickeder, but he picked up his cup to hide it. He had been antic.i.p.ating for this time for a very long time.

…

Inside the room, Mi Rong's face became helpless.

It was Jun Kai first time ever seeing her face showing this much expression in one day. Her actions now looked much more like her age, unlike other times where she would be so calm and indifferent to the world.

Sometimes he would feel that she was much older than him, but it was just a feeling. He simply stood quietly with his arms folded as he watched Mi Rong become restless.

Mi Rong had been walking back and forth in the same place for the past five minutes. She didn't dare walk out of the room nor did she want to look at the other person that was in the room. Many thoughts were running inside her head and really wanted to vent them all out.

Jun Kai, who must've lost his patient, decided to stop her up, "Hey, it's about time we should go down now, don't you think so?"

Mi Rong frustratingly looked at Jun Kai's ignorance with what had just happened, "Why go down? I'm leaving to my room right…..(now)."

Wait, did the housekeeper leave yet?

"Right...?" Jun Kai was thinking of how Mi Rong would finish her sentence.

Mi Rong who had been focusing at the door finally realized that the housekeeper had already left and was also about to leave as well when she was stopped by Jun Kai, "Hey, your friend is here. She also brought another person as well."

Mi Rong turned around and questioningly asked, "Hm? Xia Yun is here?"

"Yeah, and with a pale looking man with gla.s.ses. They both must be downstairs." Jun Kai didn't say much about the other man that had also come with Xia Yun, but with just one look; he didn't like that other at all.

However, Mi Rong seemed to have understood who Jun Kai was talking about and her face immediately became radiant.

Jun Kai's eyebrows faintly furrowed. Who was this guy?

Without waiting any longer, Mi Rong didn't care about Jun Kai and dashed downstairs. She hadn't seen the other person ever since she left Seoul.

Jun Kai's mood became worse.

She could leave him, just like that!? Without knowing, his breathing became heavier because of the erupting emotions ongoing inside of his chest. He turned around from Mi Rong's back to his room and his eyes were caught to the book on the floor.

He went up to pick the book from the floor and found that she was only on page 58 and still had more to go. Only then did Jun Kai see another pile of books on the table beside the sofa, it seemed she had piled up a couple of books to read.

Jun Kai didn't think much and just picked up the pile of books and headed downstairs.

His mood was neither merry nor was he in a foul mood, but he couldn't explain this feeling.

He then set off following her footsteps down the stairs to greet the unexpected guests.
