38 Moving In

Mi Rong brought a suitcase inside a big lovely mansion and was led by one of grandma Feng's housemaid to her room.

The housemaid politely pointed out, "Miss Mi Rong, this is your room."

Her room was in a circular hallway. There were 5 more rooms around hers. Each one had their doors closed. In the middle, there was a big staircase to walk down made of clean white marbles, but in front of the staircase, a built-in elevator was placed.

Besides the elevator, a wide window was placed and beyond the windows, the view of nature was in sight. The sight was beyond words.

As it was early morning, the sun was not s.h.i.+ning brightly and the clouds were floating calmly in the light blue sky. The birds were flying in the distance in groups. There were some tweeting noises from the birds in the trees nearby. Surely, there must be a birdnest around here. Then, from afar, a view of a mountain was apparent with trees surrounding the whole mountain place.

Seeing Mi Rong in a dazed and unresponsive, the housemaid decided to ask, "Uh, Miss Mi Rong, are you alright?"

"Huh?" Mi Rong was brought back into reality.

The housemaid smiled and her wrinkles became more visible. She kindly offered, "If you have any questions you can ask this old lady. I've been here since the very beginning of this house, so if I can answer your questions then I would." She warmly made Mi Rong at home.

"Oh, sure. Thank you ^^" Mi Rong didn't have anything to ask, at the time being, and only dragged her suitcase inside her new room. When she walked in, she was quite amazed.

The room was had a simple design and was painted all white. A double bed with white sheets and white pillowcases was placed on her left and a clean bathroom on her right. However, what had caught her eyes the most was the balcony in front of her. She left her suitcases beside her new bed and opened the wide door leading to the balcony. When she walked out, a light cool breeze gushed past her. Her long hair was slightly wavering with the light breeze.

She closed her eyes and let the coolness of the wind pa.s.s by her face. Mi Rong hadn't felt this kind feeling for a long time. Nature in this world was quite different from where she had come from. The rawness of nature was less and less.

Then, she heard a click sound beside her. She quickly opened her eyes and turned her head to the sound. From two rooms away, a tall figure walked outside. He had a mug in one of his hand and hot steam was still coming from it. The smell of coffee drifted around the whole area.

It seemed like he had just woken up as he was wearing his pyjamas and a sleeping gown on top.

Even though he was dressed without a suit, nothing could really reduce this person's attractiveness. His gaze was overlooking around the front gate, it looked like he was waiting for someone to come.

Mi Rong did not realize herself that she was in a daze, staring at the young master of the Feng family. She was enjoying the beautiful scenery with another component that made it look perfect. The next moment, Jun Kai who had become aware of another person turned his attention away from the gates.

This time, it was Jun Kai who was now in a daze.

A young lady was standing on the balcony. When the cool breeze pa.s.sed by, her long hair fluttered around.

This!

Jun Kai was slightly shocked and had taken a step forward before taking a sharp halt. She was not her.

He had mistaken her as the woman who had used to stand in the exact same place where she stood. Jun Kai took a deep breath and closed his eyes before opening them.

On the other hand, Mi Rong was puzzled. Jun Kai seemed to be confused about something. She was wondering if he was alright.

When Jun Kai opened his eyes, there was a faint of sorrowfulness in his eyes before it quickly disappeared. He didn't even look up or greeted the other person before walking back inside and closed his door with a loud bang.

Mi Rong was slightly startled with the loud sound as she did not expect it.

Tut. What a way to start off the day. She did not feel like enjoying the nature scene in front of her any longer and decided to leave.

Jun Kai, who had just come back in his room, leaned his tall body on the balcony door. He was in deep in confusion. Why does she look more and more like his wife? He was leaning on the door for a while before making a decision.

Without hesitating, he put down his mug and went to his closet. He decided to dress up and leave to search for answers. This time, he would personally find it this time.

...

Lunchtime had come and Mi Rong finally came down to join grandma Feng. When she arrived at the table, a hot dumpling soup was served. However, there were only two bowls on the table and had no signs of Qing Qing's or that other person's bowl.

Grandma Feng who had been sitting there before and saw Mi Rong slightly confused, she decided to clear things up, "Jun Kai just took Qing Qing out to school and it seems he has something to do after, so we won't be seeing them much today."

Mi Rong paused but was not sure of how to reply so she simply said, "Oh." It had sounded a little too blunt, so she decided to change the topic, "How are you feeling today grandma Feng?"

"Well, a little bit sore here and there, but nothing bad. The doctor did a check up this morning and prescribed another medicine for me. Sigh."

Mi Rong encouraged grandma Feng, "I'm sure you'll be fine."

"You can't do anything with this old body of mine. Now, let's dig in, else it will all be cold."

"Yes!"

...

"Sir, from the DNA test, the two people's genes don't have anything similar at all. May I ask you where did you get this from?"

No response from the other person

"Uh, sir? Are you alright?" A lab doctor worriedly asked.

"Huh? Oh, nothing. Thank you, doctor."

"You're welcome."

"Oh, also this should be kept as a secret or else this place would have to say goodbye for good." The person reminded.

The doctor hurriedly said, "Yes, yes, yes, sir."

Once the person in the tall black suit made sure that the doctor was saying the truth he then left the doctor's room.

"Pheww, who was that person?" The doctor felt like his heart was about to jump out of his chest. This person was simply too intimidating.
