17 『Theastrologer』

She wore mismatched thigh high socks, one white decorated in gold, and the other hanging halfway off her leg which was dark blue. a large witch hat with a Prehensile appendage at the end of its pointed top and scantily clad clothes.. She had long unkept blue hair, braided well pa.s.sed her knees.

She wore a pair of visibly black panties, and gold laced shorts which hung off one of her hips. On her torso was a pink frilled top exposing her abdomen and most her upper body except for her scrumptious bosom.

She was meditating, breathing shallowly, her eyes were closed.

Watching, learning. She was none other than the Thousand Leagues Astrologer, a member of a secret organization of G.o.d-kin. Individuals who were descendants of Players who in this world, are and were believed to be G.o.ds.

Other than the candles, the room was decorated in magical books, grimoires and tomes. It was the home of a magic user, and that was heavily apparent. Her sheets were blue, and the posts of her bed were ash black, and there were a ton of stuffed animals.

There was no evidence of another partner, a lover, or a friend.

Opening her eyes though as the flames flickered on their wicks, she turned her head slightly to the side. She didn't hear breathing, she didn't sense movement. She licked her lips slightly and when she was about to close her eyes once more, a chilling sensation went up her spine.

Someone was watching her!

Throwing herself to the side, she spun around on the ball beneath her, before hovering over it with her power alone, Without using a voice to command her spell.

Her dark black, fearful, hues stared through the darkness of the room.

Two fiery red orb could be seen within the dark.

With her index, middle and ring fingers of both hands all touching, fidgeting, she finally spoke in an awkward tone. "Wh-who are you… What are-are you doing in my room...?" She felt strange under the gaze of the unknown. It was something, someone, powerful enough to suppressed her own magical abilities!

"You were the one watching the fight last night," Teetle laughed oh so curiously, moving his boney hand through the shadows which covered the room. "Tell me, what do you tell your superiors?"

She froze the moment she saw those fingers. The red eyes. Could this be the G.o.d of Death? Hadn't he been slain by the Eight Greed Kings!? "I… I didn't report to them yet, I'm still trying to understand how to explain how a human became a dragon, or a dragon became a human..." She slowly became cooler because of the a.s.sumption that was coming to her mind.

The Undead stepped forward into the light, further being illuminated, showing his likeness to Surshana the G.o.d of Death, one from the Six Great G.o.ds that the Theocracy wors.h.i.+ps.

"Come..." Teetle reached out a hand for her to approach, to take hold of his hand.

The girl stared at him, her eyes widened at his beacon and call. Death was calling for her!? She felt like her heart was going to explode as it was pounding from her chest. "I..."

"I wish to bestow upon you my blessing," Teetle uttered as he further extended his hand towards her. His boney fingers flexing, calling for her hand.

Her dark hues glanced down at his hand, it was pure white. Adorned with rings of varying colors.

"Why do you hesitate?" Teetle's tone turned stern, appearing and sounding as if he was growing impatient with the mortal before him.

She gulped audibly, "Forgive me oh Surshansama...!" Ignoring her instincts to shrink away, to run away, she reached out her hand and grasped the hand of the undead.

Then she blinked, the moment their hands touched, their location had changed. She was hovering above the orb still, her hand was between two metal bars, and she was in a lit jail cell.

Blinking several times as the unnatural florescent lights of the building, she retracted her hand and rubbed her eyes. "Whe...Where did we..."

"Welcome to Vilisyrteria, Astrologer-san." A voice emitted from behind the skeleton, and soon enough a girl with grey skin appeared, a vampire with red eyes and a mysterious disposition.

"Eh? Who are you?" Frantically she moved back from the bars, seeing those red eyes of a True Vampire. She then s.h.i.+fted her head to face the skeleton. "Surshansama?!"

"My name is Teetle Berry. Tee for short," The Skeleton cackled a bit when she had called him one of the Six Great G.o.ds. "It is a pleasure to meet you… Back tracking your divination magic and bypa.s.sing your security measures was too easy! Ahaha!"

Immediately the blue haired girl cringed at her own mistake, the naivety that allowed her to believe the slain undead G.o.d had returned. However, that seemed not to be the case.

"Teleport!" She tried using a fifth tier teleportation spell, to at least get out of the jail cell. Yet nothing happened, the spell didn't even cast.

"The moment you were brought here, you triggered the Greater Dimensional Lock, within that cell." Silva informed as she bowed her head lightly, "All thanks to my master's expectations."

"Masters?" Astra narrowed her eyes on the woman, then pointed towards the skeleton questionably, seemingly unafraid despite her fear being kept hidden behind her eyes. However that fear was threatening to break free.

"No, good heavens no..." Teetle took a step back form the cell, "I could never compete with a Supreme Being, he is above us all!" The skeleton seemed to laugh nervously now, s.h.i.+fting in place.

Silva almost sn.i.g.g.e.red at Teetle's reaction to being called the leader, but stopped herself with a bit of effort. "We serve the Jack-sama."

Astra's fear almost vanished hearing the name, Jack. "As in a Jack in the box?" Her head c.o.c.ked to the side, imagining a toy that was wide spread by the Great G.o.ds before time had swallowed them.

"..." Silva immediately became deadpan, a killing intent surfacing quickly before Teetle rested a hand on her shoulder. Calming the Vampire down before she could kill the woman in the cell.

"The Dragon wants her alive."

Astra froze for a moment, Dragon? As in the one she had seen fighting? The one with the human form!? She was going to meet that thing that single handedly destroyed the Sunlit Scripture!? She stared at the skeleton and then towards the Vampire.

It was unusual for these beings to be even fancied as followers by those of the living, let alone be followers to a living being in the first place.

She was becoming curious of what this dragon fellow really was. How he had come across these companions. How they were so friendly with one another rather than fighting over the spoils.

Her eyes glanced towards the orb which was in the cell with her. All her magical items which she had on her person was still here with her. She didn't quite understand, was this jail strong enough to hold her? For the time being, she could tell these beings were far powerful than herself.

That Dragon being even more powerful than them.

So she decided she rather not try to escape, not yet.

The girl moved to sit on the floor, it was cold, made of what appeared to be stone. However it wasn't made of slabs or tiles. It appeared to be a concrete or cement mixture of some kind.

Silva silently watched the woman before turning to Teetle, "Watch her until Jack-sama returns from Carne Village. He will be accompanied by the two villagers he saved yesterday."

Astra blinked several times, he was going to bring humans here? Why?

"He wishes to give them a tour," Silva's eyes threateningly drifted to Astra, "No one here in this city will hesitate to kill you."

"City…?"

"The City of the Supreme Ones, Vilisyrteria. A city once occupied and defended by all the Fifty Five of the greatest beings ever conceived by time!" Not being able to keep her cool as she had been around people for a bit too long, she Chuuni impression were beginning to show.

Teetle, if he had sweat glands, would have a sweat drop on the side of his head. He lightly clacked his jaws together. "Er… Silva, I think Toma is calling for you."

Silva glanced over towards Teetle, not taking his words seriously, but nodded anyway. Knowing exactly what he meant, as she was going to get carried away, talking of their creators. "Of-of course, I should get going then."

As quickly as she had appeared, she vanished into thin air, a few seconds later, the door leading outside down the hall would open and then slam closed.
