"Did you eat enough? I don't want your gastritis to act up."

Modesty looked at Su Jin Wei. "How did you know that I have stomach problems?"

Su Jin Wei thought back to the first time her stomach acted up. They had been arguing because some boy had confessed his feelings to Modesty. Su Jin Wei overheard it and tried to beat the boy up. Modesty didn't understand how her normally calm Su Jin Wei was being so aggressive. They argued not because she also liked the boy, because she didn't. They argued because he blackened the boy's eye and split his lip and Modesty couldn't understand why. She didn't know that Su Jin Wei was jealous of the boy because he made Modesty smile.

Modesty hadn't eaten all day because she was so upset that she lost her appet.i.te. She stayed in her room upset with Su Jin Wei not wanting to come out. Su Jin Wei finally went to her room to talk to her and found her on the floor clutching her stomach in pain. He was so worried that he picked her up princess style and carried her to the hospital.

"I know because the first time you ever got sick was because of me."

Modesty had a shocked look in her eyes. "What do you mean?"

Su Jin Wei took some of the pellets from Modesty and threw them at the Koi. "I upset you and you didn't eat all day. I came up to your room to apologize and found you on the floor in pain. It was the worst day of my life."

Modesty reached her hand out and touched Su Jin Wei's hand that gripped the railing of the bridge. "I have actually learned how to control my gastritis, but I have to make sure I don't skip meals."

Su Jin Wei nodded his head and turned his hand so that it was holding Modesty's hand. So they walked hand in hand through the garden until it was time to leave.
