Chapter 823 - Team 52
"Now that everyone is here, let's start on the Mission." Said the redhead tapped a few b.u.t.tons on the table and next moment, my projection and info got replaced with the map on which three points are flas.h.i.+ng.
"This time we have to receive the mission of 'Extremely Hard difficulty,' we have to exterminate three Gold Level Launching pads of Grimm Monsters in the Sulfur Marsh." Said redhead as she moved her, and multiple windows flashed toward all 36 people that are sitting on the table, including me.
But I am not one bit looking at the doc.u.ment that appeared in front of me and my mind is still processing the 'Extremely Hard difficulty' word that she had said.
In the Warzone there are seven types of difficulties in the mission, Easy, Medium, Hard, Very Hard, Extremely Hard, Slaughter, and Doom, and 99% Missions that allotted through the Warzone are from the first three Grand difficulties which are Easy, Medium and Hard and even these missions people lost their lives regularly.
The Missions above first three Grade are difficult, the teams get exterminated through it, so when she mentioned 'Extremely Hard difficulties' so casually my whole body started to shake, and I felt like either I've lost my mind, or these people lost theirs that even 'Extremely Hard' is not phasing these people even a bit.
I am panicking without reason; before coming here, I have seen fatality statistics of this Warzone from Rachel's holowatch and knew how many people during these missions, in Extremely Hard difficulty mission getting the whole team exterminated is a common thing.
"As you see on file in front of you, that each of these launch pads has at least a thousand Golden Elites, our mission is to kill all the Grimm Monsters and destroy the teleportation formation which is inside," she said. Everyone started to read the files in front of them in a serious mood.
I also controlled my fear and started reading, but I had just read half a page when I started shaking again. When I first heard there are thousand Golden Elite, I thought most of them would be low level ones, and would be easily killed by use, but when I looked, the level distribution that is written cold sweat started spreading through my body.
About 30% Golden Elites in these launching pads are Five Star above, which means we will face 300 Golden Elites that are Five Star and above.
'Are they trying to kill us?' I asked myself, as I looked like a number, it would be a complete slaughter if we went against them, but when I looked around, I found these people were still reading carefully and their shaking could be seen in their mind.
They are a.n.a.lyzing every detail like I did before I used to go to the hunting ground, it seemed like a regular routine of them.
"How much time do we have to finish it?" Asked one Nine Star Golden Elite, "Three weeks." said redhead when she said it, her expressions were quite unnatural.
"What, just three weeks, do the Guild really want to kill us. Asking us to complete three Extremely Hard difficulty missions in just two weeks, it looks like they want to kill us."
All of them who were calmly reading the files in front of them burst into an uproar, seeing how little time they were getting, seeing I heaved a sigh of relief thinking they still have some sense of self-preservation. If they had not shouted out for the Mission time limit given by the Guild, I would have thought they had completely lost their minds.
"Since we got the mission, there is no time to let go," said Redhead, and everyone else stood up and started following her, including me, but unlike them, I am very confused.
They did not plan, they did not discuss the strategy to execute such missions, the leader just informed, and all of them followed her. I desperately wanted to ask what was going on, but I decided not to ask and just follow them, I will know everything over time.
In a few minutes, we came out of the guild and saw the leader and rest walking toward a very powerful looking muscled heavy car. They entered the cars one by one, including the blue-haired young man who could use teleportation formation to reach the city gates directly.
"Come, rookie, this car is ours." said burly Tom as he invited me to the last Car. The car is big, the four is sat comfortably inside it as the car sped at rocket speed. The speed of the car is really amazing. It is way faster than the car I had booked.
I don't think I could book such a car with the Criminal Record, someone who is not a criminal.
As the HoverCar sped toward the city gates, burly Tom again started talking with the two friends of his with completely ignoring me, I listened to their conversation for a while and soon lost interest as they were talking about a particular Guildmaster who they thought is the hottest girl in Heim.
I would have listened to their conversation if not me still mulling over Rachel, who doesn't want to listen about hot girls even if they have a beautiful Girlfriend.
I closed my eyes and concentrated on my source, which is giving off quite intense energy. The potion has started working, and my fire ability has started becoming stronger, but it is nowhere close to what is required for the enchantment to activate.
My ability will have to be a lot stronger for me to be able to use the Enchantment of my Toten Artifact. Ashlyn is still digesting the potion, so there is quite a big hope that the power of my ability will reach the required level.
Finally, after forty-five minutes, we have reached the city gates, the city too vast even after having such speed, the car still took forty-five minutes to reach the city gates.
We got out of the car one by one and walked toward the city gates, and I was quite surprised to see that even late at night, the city gates are still very crowded.
Though the city gates are crowded, there is no chaos. The gate is huge and there are multiple entrances for people to pa.s.s through. Our group had also picked one of such entrances to walk out.
Sup Sup Sup…
Just as we walked out of the boundary of the city, the people of my team started to shoot through the sky, seeing them I had no choice but to follow and match their speed, which is very straining for me.
"It's a good thing rookie, you can manage the speed, if you were like past rookies you would have had to hear loud scolding." said the Burly top but just as he finished, his friend chimed in saying "As you have heard on your rookie days."
"Shut up, Carlos," said Top angrily before he started the conversation again.
While it may seem like I am fine, but I am not, I am trying my best to maintain my speed with them. If they have increased their speed more even by little, then I would be left behind.
