The corpses of young men and women littered the ground. Few left the arena, and they had the same fate, bullet to the head.

The spectators looked amused. Some of them can't enjoy the ordinary tournaments anymore after watching the Underworld's tournaments.

Some don't enjoy seeing people fight to the death, but there are many who do.

Fight till death gives different kinds of excitement. One move can take a life they are always nervous and excited to see what happens next.

The Underworld tournament was also broadcasted to different parts of the world. It is not for the public, and only a selected few have enough status to watch.

''Uff, that must hurt!'' Mathias shouted with a grin.

Ichiro looked at the scene with cold eyes. The laughter of everyone echoed in his ears.

Most of the fighters from different groups looked at the scene without emotions. Their battles most likely will be the same, and everyone has only a 1% chance of survival.

But, the stronger ones, or more precisely, the gold ranked fighters brimmed confidence.

Weaker ones had faces of despair. They listened to the cries of people dying.

Some even started shedding tears.

They received mocking looks from others the first step to death in this tournament is to lose your confidence in yourself.

Ichiro looked towards the VIP stands. His eyes showed pitch darkness he printed every face of men and women to his mind.

'If you guys enjoy so much of death... I suppose you guys enjoy dying yourself then...' Ichiro put his hand on his sword and grinned viciously.

''ARGHHH!'' A young woman cried as her legs were cut off. Daniel was standing behind her he grinned and cut her head off.

He looked around the arena and saw only 1 young man standing!

Only 2 remains in Group A!

The young man had short brown hair with an average face, but his face was dirtied in blood!

It was Roy!

Daniel grinned and wiped the blood from his sword. His white skin could barely be seen underneath all that blood.

He killed at least 50 fighters from Group A!

''Ahaha.'' Daniel laughed hysterically. His eyes showed endless madness.

He didn't become crazy because his girlfriend cheated on her. It only released the madness hidden deep inside him.

Since he was a child, Daniel always knew that he wasn't an ordinary child. He heard voices in his mind, telling him to do terrible things, but he thought it was his imagination.

He didn't tell anyone because he feared they might not like him anymore. He wanted everyone to accept him.

But the shock after seeing the scene of his friends and his girlfriend doing such things. The one who he loved and the ones he thought were his friends making fun of him.

His barrier, which contained his endless madness broke apart.

''Hehehe.'' Daniel's mad-looking eyes scanned Roy's body like a hungry animal.

Roy gulped and put his shield in front of him.

Only one man remained in his way. Even if he doesn't win the finals, he can perhaps survive it. Reaching the finals was the only goal his employer gave him.

If he died. His family would be safe, apparently.

But he had a hunch... That it might not be so simple.

He only said safe... He did not say that he would not do anything to them.

Safe is a very vague term.

''Hey, you!'' Daniel pointed at Roy with his sharp sword.

''W-What?'' Roy asked with a rapid heartbeat. He tried to act confident, but Daniel suddenly started speaking.

''Do you have a girlfriend?'' Daniel asked.

''Eh?'' Roy looked confused, ''No, I don't.''

Daniel smirked, ''Good... Who needs them! Right?''

''Right...''

''I like you! You remind me of old me.'' Daniel said with an innocent smile. The stadium was quiet everyone listened to their conversation.

''Old you?'' Roy asked.

Daniel tapped the ground with his sword, ''Old me was so innocent, not knowing the darkness of the world. The old me sometimes cried at night, but that's where I came!'' He started slowly walking towards Roy, ''I don't cry. I don't feel pain. I have abandoned the useless emotions.''

He stopped five meters away from Roy and grinned, ''Madness is the true beauty. It shows the true darkness of humanity.''

''Sounds very... Lonely.'' Roy said. He had his sword and shield ready.

The wind blew through the stadium. The dead corpses around the arena brought a creepy and cold atmosphere.

Daniel smiled and put his sword in front of him, ''You are a good guy. But, now it's time for you to die.''

Roy clenched his sword tighter and took a step forwards, ''I am not afraid!''

''Prove it,'' Daniel said coldly and swung his sword with speed which is impossible to see with the naked eye!

Roy lowered his stance and put his shield in the way.

*Clank*

Roy was pushed backward slightly, but he managed to block the sword strike!

The spectators only saw the sword disappearing and suddenly hitting the shield!

Daniel was surprised to see Roy's incredible reaction time.

Roy's blue eyes had a tinge of red!

Since young, he has had the ability to see things others can't. Once, he thought that he saw a ghost, but everyone thought it was nothing but a child's imagination.

But Roy has special eyes that let him see things no one can!

He saw the trajectory of Daniel's sword strike!

''Like I said, I am not afr'' Roy said with confidence, but he didn't have enough time to finish his sentence because he felt something in his throat.

Daniel's body became an afterimage, and he appeared behind Roy.

''You weren't afraid, I applaud you,'' Daniel said softly, and behind him, Roy's head was separated from the rest of his body.

99 corpses were left behind, and only one young man was left standing.

Amy smiled and shouted, ''Group A is over! The winner is Daniel Lynch!''

*Cheers*

The spectators loudly cheered after the exciting show of power from Daniel!

Roy's employer clicked his tongue in annoyance. He had short auburn hair with a large head, which seemed swollen.

''Finn, it was close.'' A beautiful woman next to him said gently.

Finn, Roy's employer, snorted and grabbed the beautiful woman's buttocks, which caused her to grimace in disgust, but she quickly hid it.

''Well, it doesn't matter if it was close. I lost money because of that brat, and I need to earn money somehow...'' He grinned viciously and continued, ''His family members were pretty... They will do.''

In the bottom of the stadium.

Mathias kept cheering while Ichiro kept thinking about things... Which will change the Underworld forever.

The Underworld will find out why no one found Ichiro's identity as the World's Greatest Assassin.

He was like a shadow he killed powerful men one after another.

The people of Underworld think they know what true darkness is.

They have no idea... That true darkness is not evil related.
