14 Chapter 14: Being You.

Does he hate me that much? I guess this reminds me a lot about my previous high school. My b.i.t.c.hy all-girls school.

I always dreaded walking the hallways of my school. So much whisper, so much gossip about how I look, how I act and how I speak. They'd rather copy some influencer than being themselves.

"I heard that girl dresses strangely." She giggles as she whispered to her friend.

I look away from them ignoring them but my heart grew heavier from the words they were muttering.

"No way... Why should someone like her be in our cla.s.s? She can s.e.xually hara.s.s us any minute." The girl with a face full of makeup laughs.

"I guess that's what happens when you have two mothers. You'll turn out like her" The girl laughs.

I break a nerve turning back to them. I couldn't hold my anger.

"At least my mothers didn't teach me to be some s.l.u.tty a.s.s b.i.t.c.h who is probably not gonna reach something in life. Why don't you just twerk your a.s.s to high heavens and go straight to h.e.l.l because that's probably the only thing your manatee brain can do." I talked back to them. Fists clench I was ready to beat this plastic b.i.t.c.h.

I never talked back and became aggressive with anyone but the fact that they bring my mothers into this is just plain mess up and something I will not tolerate.

This all-girls school was nothing but torment all we these girls cared about is their appearance, they only cared about looking in the outside but their inside is nothing but disgusting garbage. Just talking about how hot their boyfriends are and how much they want to rip each other apart. It was just absolutely disgusting.

That's why I became a total shut-in. I hated going to school especially being anywhere near them but I guess one person never gave up on me.

"Lisa? Can you come out? I cooked dinner." Momma knocks on my door.

I facepalm into the bed screaming. "Later Momma!"

"Okay, then I'll leave the dinner over here at the table. Momma and Mom love you!" I hear the door closing as I lay down in my bed contemplating my life choices.

My phone rings. As I look at a text from Rose. "Hey, it's been a long time you haven't gone to school. You alright?"

"Why do you care?" I replied.

Rose sends me a crying emoji before saying "Hey don't be like that! As a cla.s.s representative, it's my duty to ensure my cla.s.smates are safe."

"Listen. If this is just another attempt to like to please me and be my friend or whatever then stab me in the back like those other s.k.a.n.ks then I'm not up for it." I bluntly told her.

"No. Of course not, I was just checking up if you were okay. I'm sorry if I interrupt you or disrespect you in any way. If you need help don't hesitate to ask okay? I'll even help you out make up for the things you missed." She sents a smiley emoji.

"Whatever," I respond back closing the phone.

After Rose texted me I returned back to my nightmare of a life filled with the bad aroma of hormones and plastics. Where the perfumes of all the people are mixed that it smells so bad.

"h.e.l.lo there! It's great to see you coming to school again Lisa." Rose greets me waving.

She smiled ear to ear, she must really be happy to see me back to school.

"Ya... I guess." I say in a softer tone avoiding eye contact.

"Hey, Rose. Are you going to the basket ball game." Another plastic girl comes calling Rose.

"Oh, sure! We have to cheer for our basket team!" She smiles enthusiastically.

"Why are you with that freak?" A girl tells her.

"She looks f.u.c.king weird." Another girl whispers to her.

"Hey, guys stop that. It's rude." Rose shrugs them off before coming to me.

"Sorry, you have to hear all that." She apologizes.

I stood up embarra.s.sed I left. I didn't want to be in that situation where all of them would just pick me and make me feel bad about myself. I guess a school full of girls who are just desperate to get laid has no brainpower to think about dignity.

"Hey wait!" Rose reaches to me.

"Why are you being so nice to me?" I ask her bluntly.

It's really weird someone like her is being nice to me.

"Because you remind me so much of myself Lisa. You are very brave and I admire you for that." She smiled at me.

"What? Brave? I'm an absolute mess." I answer her.

She sighs. "I admire you because you are just being you. Those girls are just being plastic and fake as they are but you. You are just you and no one else not a carbon copy of someone else."

She hugs me tightly as I start to cry. She really felt real as well. She wasn't faking her emotions and she wasn't being b.i.t.c.hy like the others.

Well now that I think about it. I thought she was a pure cinnamon roll but nope. I was wrong she was a bit s.l.u.tty but she was real. That's why we remained friends.

RING RING. My phone rings as I answer it being aware of my surroundings as I head back to my dorm at Golden Crown University.

"Let's go to the convention! You know the one I talked about with Charles!" Rose enthusiastic voice greets me.

"Ugh..."

"Are you being a shut-in again!? I always go out with my friends and you are my friend!" She laughs.

Flas.h.i.+ng back the memories of her being nice to me back in high school.

"Let's go hang out with the others!" She invites me over the phone.

"I don't go out with strangers..." I hang up...

I was really cruel and mean to her even if she was being a real person with me.

"I guess you still don't treat me as your friend?" Rose's tone s.h.i.+fts into a sad one.

"Fine! I'm going to the convention! Friend. You are my friend."

"Yay! Can't wait! See ya there!" She hangs up.

Now what did I just sign myself up to...
