175 Lucas The Famous

The dark cloud of anger made them s.h.i.+ver. They all have experienced how Minhyun was when he was p.i.s.sed. And they did not want to experience that terror ever again. After all, their jobs were at stake.

It was silly to think that a bunch of older men were scared of someone in his twenties, but Minhyun was always the exception. He was the ultimate boss with the power to ruin them.

Only silence filled the air.

And then, to their luck, Minhyun's phone buzzed.

At first, the CEO was annoyed and didn't want to open this notification. Jealousy was riled up in his chest and all he could think about was the scene that ingrained in his head. It wasn't like he was inferior to Lucas in any way, he also didn't think he was the jealous type either. After all, he was able to handle Yoona dating Jaemin in the past. However, after he fell in love with the girl, something in his heart changed.

He didn't want to lose her.

Alas, he needed to keep these feelings within him for he knew his boundaries.

He knew that Lucas was a close and important friend to her. But their proximity and closeness was what made him feel so discontent.

Plus, that blonde-haired b.a.s.t.a.r.d knew how to cook well!

Once he noticed it was Yoona who sent him a text, he quickly opened his phone to see what she wrote.

'Don't get jealous. I love you not him

With those mere words, Minhyun's mood flipped. A smile lit up on his face. Of course he shouldn't be worried. After all, Yoona picked him. With that, her words became factual and the burden within him lessened.

"Secretary Kim," Minhyun called.

He pushed his gla.s.ses up his nose. "Yes sir?"

"Don't cancel my meetings. My mood is better now."

Secretary Kim tried his best to hold back his sigh of relief. He was glad that Yoona's friend was able to tell Yoona about the situation and ultimately handle it. These meetings were important. His boss was a stern man, but these days, there was a flow of emotion within him that Secretary Kim was not able to get used to. He was glad that Yoona was able to handle it all.

"Yes sir!"

The higher-ups around changed their facial expressions from scared to relief as well. They don't know what went down on Minhyun's phone, but they thanked the Lord for their boss's mood change.

Could it be… A girlfriend?

"I heard that you brought a girl to the gala. Could she be the reason for your good mood sir? You must bring her to meet us one day," one of the men said.

Minhyun's smile quickly disappeared from his face. "I'd rather not. She will stay out of the MH business."

"Of course sir," the man agreed. "But it's a pity, I really wanted to introduce you to my granddaughter…"

The glare from Minhyun was menacing.

Quickly the man changed his words. "But I'm sure your girlfriend is much better. I wish you a happy romance."

Minhyun didn't bother to response, instead making his way to his personal elevator to go to his next schedule.

Once Yoona was updated on the business materials, the three decided to hold a little meeting to elaborate on what they were going to do. So far, it was only the three of them on the team. Once they got their ideas more solidified, they would be able to get more people to hop on.

Currently, the only outsider that would be involved in their plans was the Head MH Foods Manager, wherever he was. Although he was a higher up with lots of power, since this was MH's first time experimenting with a restaurant, he would be more involved than for other projects.

"So," Eunha said with a smile. "What are your thoughts on what we should do for our marketing campaign? We know that Lucas wants to make Asian fusion food but how to we make it appeal to people?"

Now, it was time for Yoona to finally put her knowledge to use. She wanted to be useful to her team, especially knowing that they had to hold back a bit because she was away for a lot of the time.

"I was thinking…" She began. "How about instead of marketing the restaurant like Bianchi, where the restaurant itself is the face, make it revolve around Lucas?"

He pointed to himself. "Me? The face?"

Yoona nodded. "You're a good looking guy! People would surely come."

Eunha pretended to throw up. "Him? Don't build his ego."

Lucas sent her a glare. "Don't be rude. This is why you're single."

"You're single too," Eunha said with her hands on her hips.

Yoona stared at her two friends before shaking her head. They really couldn't give it a rest huh? She tried to change the atmosphere by continuing on the subject she had been talking about. "Yes, Lucas is good looking and these days, cooking shows have really been popular with the crowd. With your skills and looks, I'm sure that we would be able to make the restaurant famous in no time. Plus, MH has an entertainment department we could make use of!"

There was a moment of silence.

"That's not a bad idea…" Lucas nodded. "Isn't there a lot of chefs who became successful that way?"

"Yup there is," Yoona answered. "And from what I've researched, they all have really good sales. Some of them have months of reservations to eat at their restaurants..."

There was a group of famous chefs in Korea due to their appearances in the media. Since they had already showcased their skills on television, everyone had become curious about the taste of their cooking. Their success was enormous and it would be great to have Lucas be a part of it.

"Do more research about it and we should pitch it to the higher-ups to get it approved," Lucas said.

"Deal."

Eunha thought for a moment. Yoona's idea was great. She totally loved it. But there was a problem that appeared in her mind. She couldn't lie, Lucas was an attractive person, but that wasn't the key to being successful on television. "But if he were to go to broadcast, he would need to fix his personality… n.o.body likes an a.s.shole."

She was being serious.

Lucas sent her an icey smile. "I know how to act in different situations."

"Oh so you're fake?" Eunha pushed further.

Oh no. Another fight. This time Yoona decided to let it flow and not interfere. That would ultimately backfire on her. She calmly listened to them bicker back and forth.

If this was how her work life was going to be, then it was going to be a b.u.mpy ride. But nonetheless, since they were her friends, she was more than ready for the journey.

Now… How the h.e.l.l was she supposed to sneak up to Minhyun's office?
