4 My Body!

He lifted himself off the bed, which was around a half meter high and had to crawl with his arms slowly towards the crutches. He took the crutches and lifted himself and started to navigate to the door. It was peculiar to walk with the crutches. He had to put all his weight on his arms and walk with the crutches instead of his legs. Since both of them were injured, and he couldn't put any pressure on them. w.a.n.g Ming slowly walked himself to the bathroom and realized that he had to sit and pee. He was embarra.s.sed and promised never to tell anyone about it. After finis.h.i.+ng, w.a.n.g Ming walked to the kitchen and looked for the clock and calendar, which said the 20th of June and the clock was around 6 pm. He was shocked because that meant that he had been sleeping for over a month. His father must have fed him this past month, which warmed his heart. Maybe he had just said those things in anger w.a.n.g Ming thought.

w.a.n.g Ming then sat down in the kitchen and decided to think about what that "dream" really meant. And how his arms had healed, he still remembered the book that slapped him in the face before he woke up. It had to be related to the book and should be the answers to his questions. He tried to look around on his body and found nothing and then walked towards his bedroom to see if it was there. It was inconvenient to move with the crutches, but he just had to accept it for now. He came into his tiny bedroom, which was probably a few square meters big, enough for a bed, desk, mirror, and a small closet. He then walked into the room and started searching the whole room, it was pretty rough to do it with broken legs, but luckily the room was not large, but he couldn't find it anywhere. Starting to feel frustrated, he shouted for the book.

"Where are you Book !?" He then felt the wind blowing in the room, which was weird because there were no windows in the room. Then suddenly a book came flying in his face and then fell on his lap.

w.a.n.g Ming took a look at the book, and it looked like the old and ancient books you would see in movies, but the pages looked new like it was new. At the front of the book, it said Dao Of Cooking For Dummies. He opened the first page, and it said: Being able to create good food yourself is ordinary. Being able to understand and teach others how to cook extraordinary food is the goal. It was written with great might and oozed power. He felt revitalized, and he could feel the energy coursing through his veins — ambitious thoughts coursing through his head.

He then read through the book but was sad to see there were only three pages that had content in the book, and he realized that his knowledge in cooking was still not enough to unlock anymore. The content of the last pages also answered how his arms had healed. To be able to understand the Dao of Cooking, you first had to have a body capable of withstanding the cultivation that came with it. And your body had to be reconstructed from nothing, which meant that your body had to be broken down first before it could rebuild. He didn't understand how the book had found him, or how it knew that he had sustained injuries, but he had nothing to doubt since his arms had healed. He also found out that his legs would slowly heal and strengthen themselves in about a month. It was a great relief that he would not be crippled for the rest of his life.

w.a.n.g Ming then heard his stomach rumbling and decided to get something to eat. He then put the book on the desk, and to his amazement, the book just vanished without a trace. It would probably be back when it was needed. But before he went out of the door, he saw his reflection in the mirror and was shocked. So he walked closer to the mirror to look at himself what he saw was a man that had an average looking face, but had a sharp look, eyes that were burning with ambition. But what shocked him the most was how broad his shoulders and big his arms and chest were. He then used his teeth to pull his s.h.i.+rt up so he could see his abs, and they looked incredibly ripped he had a flat stomach with a chiseled eight pack with incredible lines from the obliques coming in from the sides.

He was shocked and proud of how his body looked right now, and couldn't wait for his legs to heal. Finally, he reached the kitchen and realized how inconvenient it did not have a wheelchair. So he had to sit in a chair and slowly rock it forward towards the refrigerator and opened it and was disgusted from what he saw, it was lots of molded meat and vegetables. He could see lots of green and white dots on the meat and, the refrigerator filled with green dust from the mold. It almost made w.a.n.g Ming puke, so he slammed the refrigerator door as a natural reaction and was surprised when the refrigerator almost fell to the side.

w.a.n.g Ming looked around the kitchen and found nothing else than two packs of instant noodles. He wasn't feeling too hungry after seeing the things in the refrigerator but knew that his body needed food. So he just cooked them over the stove in a ca.s.serole. w.a.n.g Ming was not really in the mood to make it anymore fancy than that. So he just cooked the noodles just right which was around when the noodles turned soft but not that they were soggy, and then he transferred them to a bowl and put it on the table. w.a.n.g Ming slowly ate his noodles, still wondering where his father was. It was around 8 pm now. w.a.n.g Ming again didn't feel like eating but forced the noodles down his throat. He finally finished the noodles around 30 minutes later and was exhausted.

So he went into the living room and sat down close to the table but leaning against the wall. He just closed his eyes, thinking about his childhood with his father and mother. That was the best time of his life. He had a loving father and mother. Since his father owned a restaurant chain, he didn't need to do anything and was home every day to play with him. But everything changed after his mother died in a car accident when he was 15. He still remembered that day when he heard the news. He had just walked to school when his father called his voice full of sorrow and said that his mother had hit by a car when she was helping an elderly lady. The car just drove away, and they never found who the culprit was.

After it happened, his father seemed to change for the worse slowly. It went from interacting less and less with his son till never wanting to see him. His father instead jumped into another relations.h.i.+p. The person then became his stepmother who made a fool out of him.

w.a.n.g Ming then opened his eyes and sighed, not wanting to think about it anymore. He then saw a letter on the table which said to w.a.n.g Ming. Curious to who would leave him a note here he crawled to the table to look at it. The writing looked like his fathers feeling even more interested. He opened it and read out loud.

"My son, my b.a.s.t.a.r.d. I'm sorry for what happened between us after your mother died, but you reminded me too much of her. But I have decided to leave the house and you. You are just too reckless too young I can't have my life implicated just because of you. I have decided to go to live in another city and rebuild my restaurant. Our father and son relations.h.i.+p ends here, presumably if you are ever able to get out of your bed and find this. I left you with 100 yuan. You won't probably need more than this since you are crippled and will probably die soon. Goodbye, my son for the last time."

Tears were now streaming down w.a.n.g Ming's face. He couldn't stop them. "That f.u.c.king b.a.s.t.a.r.d, after all, I did for him. He was taking care of him ever since he became an alcoholic. I promise that when I get better, I will take revenge on all of you. Just wait for it, Brother Hou. Just wait for it father and that b.i.t.c.h. I will get all of you." w.a.n.g Ming breathed in and out rapidly to calm himself and to calm his tears. He promised himself that he would never shed any more tears for people like them.
