Waving goodbye to Yang Meng outside the dining hall, Sofie slowly walked back towards the house she called home here at the scorching sun sect.

"Yeah! See you at dinner time!"

Yang Meng waved goodbye as well, before he quickly disappeared into the distance.

…

"Hm… What should I do when I get back? Fluff with plus.h.i.+es? Cultivate? Play with my plus.h.i.+es? Maybe finally try to cast the qi spell, or I could fluff my plus.h.i.+es while I play with them!?"

Walking on the path leading back to her home, Sofie wondered what she was going to do in the time between now and dinner.

Her plus.h.i.+es was in a clear lead in the importance of what to do, but she also felt like she needed to check on her cultivation as she felt something had changed after the trail back at the moonlight mountain.

Now it was just how important that was… Her plus.h.i.+es also needed attention from her…

Stuck in dilemma about what to do, Sofie arrived in front of the entrance to the house she lived in.

"Ah, Sofie? You are back quite late, did anything happen?"

Before Sofie even manged to open the door, a figure a little bigger than Sofie opened the door for her.

Shocked at the person who suddenly appeared in front of her, Sofie forgot to answer the question and jumped slightly, almost falling onto the ground in the process.

Still not completely calmed down from the earlier shock, Sofie looked over at Xiao Yao, who was now laughing from head to toe upon seeing Sofie's reaction.

"Haha, what happened to you all of a sudden Sofie? Why the startled look?"

With a smile on her lips, Xiao Yao was having a great time laughing at the panicked Sofie standing in front of her.

"W-w-what do you mean! Stop laughing at me! I-I was not scared or anything, just surprised!"

Trying her best to calm down, Sofie quickly started protesting in her own defence.

"Who said anything about scared? Haha!"

Xiao Yao just continued to laugh at the now embarra.s.sed Sofie.

"Xiao Yao, y-you… bully!"

Searching for bad words to use, Sofie's limited vocabulary sadly did not have any. Only ending up making her look more and more like she was being bullied.

This on the other hand did not help one bit, as Xiao Yao saw the tearing Sofie calling her a bully, couldn't help but laugh again. Even though the cuteness of the current Sofie was off the charts, Xiao Yao found the look on Sofie's face extremely funny.

This could mostly be attributed to the fact that Sofie still had some scattered pieces of food at the corner of her mouth. Making her tearing eyes and pouting face look quite funny to onlookers. Maybe if Sofie remembered to clean her face before having confronted Xiao Yao, it might have worked in gaining her pity… Sadly it did the opposite and instead made her laugh even harder.

Not being able to endure the laughing from Xiao Yao anymore, Sofie swiftly made her way into the house and directly entered her room, followed by her quickly closing the door.

Only after Xiao Yao's laughter died down, did Sofie venture out of her room again.

Sneaking down the corridor outside her room, Sofie felt nature calling out to her and she quickly made her way to the bathroom.

Entering the bathroom, Sofie quickly did her business and was about to exit the bathroom.

Things went smoothly until she looked herself in the mirror.

Looking into the mirror, Sofie saw her bright blue eyes staring back at her, while her long red hair flowed down her small shoulders. All followed by her small cute face…

At least that was what Sofie hoped to see in the mirror. Sadly, all that remained the same was her bright blue eyes. Sofie's long hair and beautiful red hair on the other hand, was filled with small glowing twigs and some other unidentifiable things. The small and cute face of hers didn't look too good either as there was dirt all over it or a few pieces of food here and there.

"Hiiiiii"

Shocked at how… dirty, she looked. Sofie could not help but scream out loud.

W-what happened to me? H-how did I get glowing twigs in my hair and why did Yang Meng and Chen Chun not say anything! N-now that I remember it… most of the other senior brothers and sisters stared quite weirdly at me on the way back…

I… D-did they also look at me like that when I was eating!? B-but…

Panicking more and more with every pa.s.sing minute, Sofie decided that the first thing she was going to do was take a bath.

"I'M G-GOING TO USE THE BATH!"

Screaming as loud as she could, Sofie hoped Xiao Yao could hear her. If Xiao Yao felt the call of nature when Sofie was occupied in the bath, it would not spell good news if Xiao Yao ended up waiting outside the bathroom for a long time…

"OKAY!"

The loud voice from somewhere outside the house came, letting Sofie let out a breath of relief.

Pulling out the glowing twigs in her hair and throwing them in a small wooden trashcan located in the corner of the bathroom. Following this, Sofie quickly undressed her dirty cloths and threw them to another corner of the bathroom.

Looking around, Sofie spotted two clean towels laying neatly on the ground close to the place she threw her dirty clothes.

Now that everything was in order, Sofie made her way to the shower located in the bathroom.

The shower was one of the things Sofie loved the most in the world and one of the most well know inventions by cultivators.

The shower was a small disc with the diameter of a few dozen centimetres hanging in the top of a closed off area of the bathroom, so the water didn't end up going everywhere.

Entering the shower, Sofie quickly clicked a b.u.t.ton coloured red. Following this, water qi and fire qi gathered together in the disc above and started forming warm water, which started coming down in one giant stream the same diameter of the disc.

The stream of warm water quickly hit Sofie and soon disappeared into the tiles below her feet.

Looking at the water disappearing below her in wonder, Sofie soon found out that a formation of some sort absorbed the dirty water below her. Normally the water would just continue to flow somewhere, but the one in the sect even had a formation to absorb the dirty water.

Indeed, a high-level sect! To think they even had a better shower than she had back home!

Sofie's train of thought was simpler than most people and she loved things like showers and food, which the scorching sect provided. In good quality as well.

If any of the sect elders knew that Sofie only thought about their sect as high-level because of their good shower and food, they would most likely break down crying.

We are a sect for cultivation G.o.d d.a.m.nit! Not an inn! What about the magic weapons we give? Or maybe the high-level martial art techniques we give away? All of them are worth way more than some food or the low-quality array formations used to construct the shower!

Not knowing the countless sect elders who would start crying if they knew what she thought about the "high-level sect, Scorching Sun Sect", Sofie continued to enjoy her shower.

Even though the large stream of water looked quite brutal and hard to endure, it was quite gentle as the array formation in the disc above her slowed down the speed of the water. Making sure the one beneath wouldn't be hurt by it.
