The door to the left had a desert on the other side of the portal, while the middle door had the familiar trees of the underground forest and the last door to the right had a gra.s.s plain appear on the other side of the portal.

Sofie was extremely confused the moment she saw the desert and gra.s.s plain, as far as she remembered there was not any desert or gra.s.s plain in the moon garden. Even the entire scorching sun island had no desert or gra.s.s land… Mostly just mountains and valleys.

"The sect also has no idea where the other two portals lead to… From what my grandfather told me; it is most likely somewhere on the giant continent where the strong cultivators reside…"

Seemingly having seen the confused look on Sofie's face when she observed the two unknown landscapes behind the left and right door, Yang Meng proceed to share what he knew.

"I-I see, what is t-"

"Well we need to get out of here quickly, so let's wait with questions. From what I know the portals will only stay up for another 5 minutes at most!"

Sofie, who was about to ask another question and got interrupted, decided not to do it at the moment after hearing what Yang Meng said. Getting off the moonlight mountain and back to the sect grounds had top priority at the moment.

The hunger she was holding in check with earlier, was also starting to come back in full force.

"Yay~ we can get back!"

Yue Wan, who had been ignored for the most part so far, cried out in an excited voice as ran up to Sofie, grabbed hold of her and jumped through the portal leading to the underground forest. Leaving behind a stunned Yang Meng.

"W-why?"

Yang Meng asked no one in particular as he made his way through the portal as well.

The other side of the portal leading to the underground forest, Sofie smiled widely upon realizing that she could finally leave and return back to the sect grounds. The dining was definitely going to feed her till she was satisfied when she came back!

Thinking about all the different kinds of food she was going to eat, Sofie started drooling as she stared blankly into the air in front of her.

Yang Meng and Yue Wan also looked around themselves with an excited look.

"Yay~ we are finally out! But… Where are we?"

Sadly, their excitement only lasted for a moment before Yue Wan asked the question none of them knew the answer to.

"Eh…"

Looking around at the surroundings, Yang Meng soon had the same blank look as Sofie on his face.

"Where the heck has the portal lead us to?"

Was the only question Yang Meng had at the moment as he mumbled softly to himself. Unfortunately for him, there was n.o.body there to answer the question for him.

*BOOM*

An explosion sounded in the distance, soon followed by the sound of clas.h.i.+ng weapons.

"Wh What was that!?"

Waking up from her daydreams about eating all the food inside of the dining hall, Sofie gazed around herself with a confused look. Not understanding how she suddenly found herself inside of a glowing forest, when she was happily eating all she could a moment ago.

"Quick, let's follow the sound of combat! If we are lucky, it is someone from the sect. They should know where we are and be able to guide us out of here!"

Excited upon hearing the distant explosion, Yang Meng used one hand to grab hold of the alarmed Sofie and confused Yue Wan, before he started dragging both of them towards the distant sound of clas.h.i.+ng weapons and explosions.

Yue Wan of course dodged Yang Meng's hand and decided to just run along beside him, as it seemed like he hadn't even noticed that he was only holding onto Sofie's hand.

Sofie on the other hand had no idea what was going on and only send a confused look towards Yue Wan running besides her, who only smiled in return. Seemingly trying to rea.s.sure her that everything was fine.

*BOOOOOOM*

An even louder explosion suddenly rocketed the surroundings as Sofie suddenly felt that Yue Wan's smile wasn't rea.s.suring at all.

"What is with this thing?! Why won't it die?"

A little further away from Sofie and her two friends, a muscular man said as he looked down at the giant demon beast in front of him.

"Well… it is a crystal tortoise; they are pretty well known for their strong defence and this one is already at the peak of rank 2. The defence of it is most likely already stronger than some rank 3 demon beasts…"

A skinny man beside the muscular man said with a slight smile on his lips, as he saw the muscular man gather his qi before launching another attack on the poor crystal tortoise below them.

*BOOM*

A large explosion sounded out as the attack launched by the muscular man landed on the crystal tortoise below.

"d.a.m.nable thing! How come I still can't seem to damage it!"

The crystal tortoise was completely unharmed after the attack and just casually lifted its head and stared at the muscular man with a slightly annoyed look in its eyes.

You came all the way here and have been hara.s.sing me for the last two hours straight! Do you really have nothing better to do other than attack an innocent tortoise sleeping out in the open? And now you suddenly start complaining about not being able to damage and kill me?

The tortoise seemed to have gotten p.i.s.sed off as it heard how the human standing on a branch above it, while recklessly launch attack after attack down on its poor sh.e.l.l and suddenly raised its head to face the direction of the muscular man.

"W-what is it doing? Have it finally been p.i.s.sed off?"

The skinny man asked as he looked at the water qi slowly gathering inside the tortoise mouth.

"Oi! Muscle head! Let's get out of here before the crystal tortoise attacks, it looks like you finally managed to p.i.s.s it off!"

The skinny man said as he quickly and nimbly jumped away from the branch he was standing on.

"LIKE h.e.l.l I'M LEAVING! IT'S CLEARLY JUST WEAKEND AND TRYING A FINAL STRUGGLE BEFORE DYING!"

A loud yell was returned, as the muscular man yelled on the top of his lungs with a seemingly mad look in his eyes.

The crystal tortoise momentarily stopped gathering the water qi in its mouth when it heard what the human was yelling.

What final struggle? What weakened?

The crystal tortoise seemed to have gotten even more angry, as the water qi inside of its mouth started gathering even faster than before.

"SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT, YOU d.a.m.nABLE TURTLE!"

The muscular man yelled loudly as he recklessly jumped down towards the crystal tortoise, while gathering all of his qi together in axe, that suddenly appeared in his hand, to display his strongest weapon skill.

How dare you compare me to those d.a.m.nable sea fanatics!

The crystal tortoise thought to itself, as the water qi formed a giant vortex before moving towards the muscular man descending from above.

A little farther away, Sofie, Yang Meng and Yue Wan, who had just arrived at the scene, looked on speechlessly as the muscular man's axe met with the giant water qi vortex of the crystal tortoise.
