I sit up and notice the girls weren't beside me and Frost was missing, I guess Victor is gone too but can't really tell. I squint and feel my way around but wind up falling off the bed. The noise echoes through my head and almost pa.s.s out. I close my eyes and sit there until the noise stops. Ok let's take this nice and slow, one eye squinting. Yup ok starting to get better, let's try two eyes squinting. Cool, it hurts a little but I'm getting used to it.

I proceeded to spend an hour trying to get used to my new vision and other senses. I figured out what happened too, because I tiered up my nervous system all at once and while I was asleep. Once I woke up my five senses had a sudden extreme upgrade that I wasn't used to processing. Finally I got it under control and was able to head downstairs. I found the twins and animals playing together in the living room.

I got some breakfast and sat down to watch them. Jessica was playing around with Frost while Jasmine was playing tug of war with Victor, making him look like a weird looking dog. Laughing to myself as I enjoyed the peaceful scene Erik sat down beside me.

"Nice view little brother, would be lying if I said I wasn't jealous."

"What about Shara? She seemed to want to jump on the Erik train for a ride."

"Ah shut up, she is just a little attached because we saved her. Besides those sisters are stuck together like glue, even if I wanted to when would I?"

"Hahaha, why not take them both. When were you such a whiny girl?"

"Oh mister big man lost his V card and thinks his the love guru does he? Let's see what happens later when you knock one of them up, I can't wait to laugh at big daddy guru."

"Don't even joke. Ok what's up, you came over for something right?"

"Ya, the rest of the squad got here. I'll introduce you later, make sure your around here at two. I have the attack plan ready for when the game starts."

Dropping that bomb on me, he laughs and jokes about using protection. Thankfully the nan.o.bots actually take care of that or so I'm told by the girls, at least that's one problem I don't have to worry about for now.

Thinking about what Erik said and I realize what he means, we are already on day nine of ten for preparation days we need a plan. I guess that's why he's the squad leader, the days have just gone by for me but he has been planning things properly for our future.

Thinking about how our peaceful days will end sooner rather than later my mood darkened a bit. Almost sensing the change Frost slithered over and curled up on my shoulders, rubbing her head on my cheek. I smiled and patted her head but realized I needed to take everything more seriously, I've treated this whole thing like a game where I can become stronger. That's not the case though, it may be a game to those watching up in the stars but this is our lives, our family, our fight for survival. Each day I could have died now that I think about it, a rat could have killed me, even just a stray bullet could have killed me. I can't leave the girls like that or my brothers, I can't leave my family that I've sworn to protect like that I will do better.

The twins come over and kiss my cheeks.

"Don't be so serious me and Jessica can pick up on the tension."

"Whatever your trying to figure out just remember it will be ok, we all can help each other right?"

Looking at their smiles while trying to cheer me up I can't help but smile back. My mood brightens and I tell them about Erik's meeting at two. Looking at the time seeing we still had a few hours I grin. I grab the girls and throw them over my shoulders.

"Wait where are we going?"

The pair asked and my answer was.

"To past some time."

I laugh with a wolfish grin as I brought them back to my room for a round of cheering up. The improvement in my nervous system made everything so much better.

Everyone gathered around the living room around 1:30, there was a few faces I hadn't seen before, they are more than likely the rest of the squad that hadn't gathered yet. The new members were three men and two women. The women both seemed to be around twenty seven or so, one was of Irish descent with pale white skin and bright red hair. She was around 168 centimeters tall and was called Amanda. The other woman was of African descent with long black hair and a dark chocolate colored skin tone. She was tall around 190 centimeters and was called Jaclyn.

Two of the men were of Chinese descent, cousins as well. One was called Allen with short black hair and a height of around 165 centimeters. His cousin was called Steven, he also had short back hair but was around 175 centimeters tall. The last man was called Pablo, he was Spanish with a dark tan and curly black hair. He stood at around 170 centimeters tall.

After the quick introduction and some greetings between the rest of the squad Erik quieted everyone down.

"Ok listen up guys, I'm gonna give you the basic layout of our situation. First because of Brandon's luck we got a map of windsor with the details of the invading races. There will be five at the start three tier 0 races and two tier 1 races. Remember that's just their starting point, just like our race is considered tier 0 doesn't mean we aren't getting stronger every day. To start let's go over which races are showing up, the tier 0 races are goblins, ratmen, and gnolls. The tier 1 races are draconians and elves."

He paused to let the fact that these imaginary creatures were about to appear on earth, about to appear in our city.

"Now me and a few others paid for some info to help us out. We are going to be targeting the goblins and gnolls to complete the world task so let's start there. Firstly the goblins are the typical kind found in stories, about a meter tall and has the build of a stocky child. They have a green to brown skin tone, the metal capacity of a teenager, and are generally either scared of the strong or violent towards the weak. Don't let their appearance fool you, from the info we have they are sneaking little b.a.s.t.a.r.ds that kidnap women of other races to breed stronger goblins. They also take men if the female population is larger than the male population."

Some of the girls turned a little pale at the thought of being breeding tools for the goblins, the men turned even paler at the thought of having to do it with female goblins. I squeezed the twins' waistlines and kissed the back of their heads.

"As for the gnolls which most might not have heard a out are a type of humanoid hyena, they hunt in packs and are bigger and stronger than goblins but slightly more stupid. Goblins can make and use weapons where the gnolls can use weapons but generally can't make their own. They have an average height of a meter and a half with a scrawny build, with fur covering their heads and backs in yellow to black tones. They have a scavenger mentality, so they usually attack weakened or dead prey. Both of the those races are omnivores, hopefully the leftover food will stop them from hunting humans for a while."

Erik took a pause to take a drink of water. Everyone was digesting the information we were just given. In all honesty these two races didn't sound that strong, they both had small builds and weaker intelligence.

"O, ya just to keep in perspective these two races will come with a population of around thirty thousand, same with the ratmen. The elves and draconians will have about half that."

Shock appeared on everyone's face, we had a total of around twenty people how were we supposed to do anything about thirty thousand little green men and human hyenas. Seeming to have sensed the general train of thought of the room Erik quickly continued.

"Don't be like that, they are spread out in different tribes and not all bunched together. With the right tactics and some preparation we can take down some of the smaller ones. Now then about the other three races, we won't be fighting them right away but sooner or later we will clash. The last tier 0 race the ratmen have an average height of under a meter except for the elite cla.s.s. They are as smart as humans but have corrupted morals, with a slavery system distinguis.h.i.+ng between their cla.s.ses. As for the elves they are a matriarchy, which mean the women are in charge. They are apparently attuned to nature just like the stories and can use abilities to cast spells. For what that means I don't know, they probably have the ability to manipulate the radiation energy into a type of spell. Either they have to store it before or manipulate the radiation in the air, if we could capture one it would help us figure some things out."

Capture an elf huh, I can almost hear him add a red head would be preferable. Sigh he could at least get that stupid grin off his face. Oh he noticed and is shaking his head.

"Finally the Draconians. They are the strongest physically out of all of them. They have an average height of two meters and a large build. They are covered in a scale like armor that is similar to reptile hides, they come in multiple color tones, we don't know if their color actually means something or like us they just have different races in the same species. Now that we all know what we will be facing in the future it's time to prepare. We have gathered food, ammo, tools, and other things we will need. After tomorrow we go on the offensive. I will let you know your a.s.signed teams now."

After that he split us into three teams team one will hit the gnolls, team 2 will hit the goblins, and team 3 will protect the base. I was part of team 2 with Derek, Max, Jasmine, Emily, and Jaclyn. Team 1 had Erik, Jessica, Brandon, Sandra, Allen, Steven, and Andrew. The rest were part of team 3. Each team had a mechanic, demolition expert, and a scout so we are prepared for most situations. The goblins are going to be dropped in the Riverside area so we need to go over the map and figure out possible locations they will be setting up camps. As for team one they have to go to the LaSalle area to fight the gnolls. Both areas are around ten minute drive from our base, that means if anything goes wrong we can reinforce each other in a short time.

Now that we had our a.s.signments we got together with our groups to go over our plans for the coming battle.
