Ni Yuexi winced in pain, the cramps from her stomach made her sense that her monthly visitor was going to be very unbearable for the entire day at work.

"Why did I forget to bring a spare sanitary pad with me?! I can't just run out to buy some from the convenience store unless I put the rest of it under my skirt!"

While she kept soliloquizing, that was when it dawned on her that her handbag was still sitting on her desk at the marketing department.

"I must be really out of it! How come I didn't even notice that my bag was missing!"

Ni Yuexi was upset at herself for being careless. On getting up from her executive chair, what felt like tiny needles began to jab at her stomach.

"Ah!!! No pain relief! No bag! No sanitary pad! Am I jinxed or what?!"

Gritting her teeth in pain, Ni Yuexi's face was a mask of agony as she dragged herself out of her office to her former department.
