They feel a surge of power coming through their body, the light is so quick to come around as it does as it fades. A [Notification] appeared on their front.

"WOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!! GAME FOR LIFE, BAYBEEEE!!" yelled Chika hysterically.

Tokaya only smiled at her and continue to open her status to reallocate the points. "It looks like when there is a great disparity between our and enemy levels, there is a bonus they give. I don't know how much though."

Chika grunted, "Haahh, who cares about that. We're going to beat anything that is on our way, doesn't matter they level 1 or 100, we'll BEAT THEM UP!!"

"…"

However, Tenko is still confused by it. Not the bonus system, but…

They have discussed it before, about how the level up is going to be. The system is very simple and lightweight that even a beginner to RPG can get by and learn easily. However, Tenko is not even a beginner to anything related to a game.

Anko smiled seeing Tenko is weirdly moving her hand, afraid of making mistake. "Tenko, it's really easy. Like this…"

Anko showed her how it's done in a more concise and very simple way of doing it, her eyes light up, "O-ohhh" Tenko nodded repeatedly and then went back to her status.

Each level up granted 100 Attributes points for HP, MP, and SP. Tenko has chosen to spend her 200 points evenly across her stats and upped her stamina even more.

With each level up, one receives 3 Attributes Points for all the 6 stats, the STR, DEX, VIT, RES, INT, and FTH. She has chosen to spend 6 of her stats points mainly on STR and a few in VIT.

She notices that she has the skill [Turn Undead], she wonders if the disgusting centipede they encountered is also included in that category, if so, that would be very useful… is what she thought. Tenko decided to tell the others about it and asked for their opinions.

"Hmm… it is definitely something, Tenko. I'm sure we will find more of them later. We can test it out then" said Tokaya.

Tenko nodded and asked Chika.

"I think they do actually, I mean just look at that thing, it must've been an undead if not something else that is… you know, like really… vile. If you find something like it again, just use it right away, make it as the starter of the battle."

Tenko nodded once again and then asked Anko.

"Maybe, I can't say for sure, but it really does indeed like something that has been zombified. But if it's not, I don't think it's going to hurt to test it out."

The trio chatted for a while. Tokaya on the other hand, she's inspecting the centipede. No parts of it have been taken, but when she tries to touch it…

*Fwooosh*

The centipede disintegrated into nothingness.

"Okay…"

She stood and look where it came from. The centipede crashed down from the ceiling, judging by the hole that was made up there recently.

She took a torch and tried to get a better look, but nothing is there. However, she saw some sort of tunnel. This led her to the conclusion that the centipede is living inside the wall, precisely, the ground. But judging from how it made its entrance, it is extremely unlikely that it would attack them as soon as they go above ground.

Tenko went and collected Tokaya's arrows for her, "Thank you."

Soon after, they left the doorless room and went deeper inside the mine. Among many torches around, they found a source akin to a string, as soon as they light it up, the whole cave brightened. All of the torches have been lit up, this makes it easier for them.

They put the fire in their torch away and then strap them to the back with a belt.

After a while of walking, they found a door leading to a large room on the right side. They found many things inside. A pickaxe, a large backpack, and a few liquid potions. Chika excitedly said that it's a type of a healing potion as soon as she saw its red color, and it turns out it really was a healing potion.

[Restorative Potion I] Gradually restore HP slightly.

[Healing Potion I] Instantly restore a slight amount of HP.

"Hrrnngh, why me…" said Chika.

Anko responded, "Obviously cause you're a noncombatant, duh."

"B, but…"

"Ah, I can—"

"No, Tenko. Don't take her job from her."

Chika took heavy mental damage, "Nghf, if you praised it like that…"

She has no choice but to be their porter. Due to her occupation, she could become a combatant and help in battle, but she's… well, she's Chika, I guess.

Back in her previous life, she always picks something like a mage or anything that can battle from afar and without moving so much. It is part of her playstyle, and indeed, it is also a part of her lifestyle.

A rogue is quite different from an a.s.sa.s.sin due to their capability of using heavier armor and the abilities that quite mimicking a warrior, but Chika has none of that and the only useful thing about her is the ultimate skill, Appraisal.

Going back again and search inside the room, they found a chest hidden behind the cupboards surrounding it. "Hmm… how do we get to that thing, any ideas?" asked Tokaya.

Tenko has one, she didn't answer and just quickly execute it.

Impaling her polearm right in between the boards, she thrust it through and build up cracks. Tokaya and the others knew they shouldn't be near, so they back away.

Tenko sticks both of her hands in and then tried to open it by force, she doesn't care about how messy the cupboards are going to be when they fell.

"Hnnngh"

The other three cheered for her, one clenching her fist, one gritting her teeth, while the other croaking their belly.

*crack *crack *crack

With a mighty force, she pushes it away.

*BANG *BANG

The cupboards fell, the third still standing, but it's not necessary to be put down.

*clap *clap *clap

The trio laughing with a croaking frog in between them.

They quickly went to see the chest, and excited about what's inside.

Tokaya went and inspected the lock, it's rusty and unlocked. She quickly put it away and opens up the chest, all of their eyes turn so bright with a lot of dollars in them.

"Ohh, ohhhhh!!" screamed Chika as she holds her frog.

They found armor, weapons, and various other mining kits. The armor is mostly made from iron and leather, they don't seem strong but, it's definitely a lot better than their current outfit which has almost 0 protection to them.

With the obvious kit being put inside the bag, Chika wondered to herself about why a bag like this is needed when they have an inventory with them. Though, that soon quickly answered when she asked Tokaya.

"We can't put anything inside Inventory, you know. Even money" showing the purse of coins, "We can only bring them with us, and I think Inventory only store items from the 'Loot'. Anyway, go put on your armor, it's not much here, but they offered some good defense."

Chika nodded and continue on with a broken heart.

They also have more than enough weapons, so they store the extra ones to Chika. It is weird seeing her managed to hold her ground despite having so many things on her back.

The trio on the back each got themselves a dagger. Anko and Tenko got a new weapon while Chika got herself another dagger.

Anko now uses an iron mace with a dagger on the side of her hip, and Tenko now uses an iron sword with also a dagger strapped on the back of her hip.

As for the armor, only Tenko and Chika are the ones heavily armored. Both of them are using the iron chest armor and helmet, but Tenko has the heavier one which uses both gauntlets and boots of iron, including the knee and legs guard.

The other two uses the thin leather underneath their uniform and the harder one all over their body. Including knee guard, gloves, and chest. Anko is a bit troubled by the leather to her size, but she's managed. They also found themselves a helmet, the appearance is not to their liking for sure, but they have no choice but to use them for an added bonus protection.

They also found several coins inside the chest.
