263 Delivering The Mission

"Original-level magical beasts that were cut down: 173. Among them, there were three Crane Insects, 83 Ice Tiger Magical Beasts, seven Elite Ice Tiger Magical Beasts, and one King Ice Tiger."

When Lauren saw the data, she couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow… 173, and the King Ice Tiger! I've heard that the basic cell value of the King Ice Tiger had already exceeded 420 points. Even the top 10 veterans dared not hunt it! Steve, I remember you're still a recruit, aren't you?"

The above data was so impressive, only she was allowed to see it. After all, if it were to be circulated around, it would probably cause a huge sensation.

If it weren't for the fact that the Original Gravity Tower's Main System could never be wrong, Lauren would have wondered if Steve had cheated somehow. However, she quickly calmed down. After all, regarding the soldiers' mission data, they had no right to publish the data on the missions that they had accomplished unless the soldiers themselves wanted to publish it.

"This is your reward for completing the mission... A total of 2,423 contribution points." Lauren gave the contribution points to Steve.

Steve took both the contribution points and the submitted magical beast materials, the latte of which would be returned to the soldiers after verification.

"I made a major discovery in the course of my mission, and I want to meet with the high-level personnel of the military base to discuss it," Steve said solemnly.

"An accidental discovery?" Lauren frowned, as any accidents that had occurred during the mission must be reported.

She said, "What level of significance is the thing that you've discovered? In other words, which level of senior management do you want to report to?"

"The highest management personnel!" Steve said solemnly.

Lauren's face grew even more grave. As n.o.body would joke about this kind of thing, she immediately went to report it. Soon, the answer was given by the higher management personnel.

"Chief Instructor Wendy wants to see you. She's waiting for you right now." Lauren opened the channel and let Steve in.

"Thank you very much," Steve said.

As lot of information about the military base was stored inside the mission hall, it could not be accessed by just anyone. Steve knocked at the door after he had arrived at the highest-level office.

"Come in." Chief Instructor Wendy's voice came from inside.

Steve opened the door and went in. He saw that Chief Instructor Wendy was reading the information on his mission and he immediately saluted her.

"I heard that you wanted to see me because of something important?" Chief Instructor Wendy looked at Steve questioningly.

"Yes, Chief Instructor!" Steve's face was solemn as he gave a detailed account of the Demon Scout Team.

After listening to Steve's report, Chief Instructor Wendy's face grew grim and she frowned. "So, it seems that the demons are going to make a big move. We've also recently heard that they have gathered more soldiers on the battlefront."

"Chief Instructor, I also learned some military secrets from them." Steve handed her the smart bracelet.

The information inside it had been re-encrypted by him according to the technology of the demons, and there was no sign of it having been unlocked at all. So, Chief Instructor Wendy would not be able to spot any telltale signs, even if she carefully perused the bracelet.

"This smart bracelet has been encrypted multiple times using the demon encryption method, and it's not easy to crack it. However, it also reflects its importance." Chief Instructor Wendy's expression was grim. They might be able to get a lot of important information from the smart bracelet...

During this recent period, the human military base had been aware of the anomaly on the demons' side, but their actions were too mysterious and secretive, so the human beings hadn't been able to figure them out, much less find any clues about them.

It was also because of this that the human camp had not been able to find any ways to deal with them. As such, they never knew what to do when facing him, which left them in a defeated, pa.s.sive state. If they could get a lot of information from this smart bracelet that Steve had just given them, it would be a great help to the human camp!

"You've done a good job. We'll give you a reward based on the information that is found within it. At the same time, we'll apply for an additional reward for you now, as this is a significant thing." Chief Instructor Wendy patted Steve on the shoulder.

"Thank you, Chief Instructor. I have one more thing to bother you with, however..." Steve said.

"What's the matter?" Wendy asked.

Steve then told her about the Theodore team and Brandon's family.

After she listened to his detailed account, Wendy said, "You can rest a.s.sured that Brandon's death was an accident. We will even issue an official statement regarding such."

Wendy then nodded to him, and Steve was instantly relieved.
