Although this system was fine for new sects that had only existed for a few hundred years, it would not work for larger sects who had existed for thousands, if not tens of thousands of years.

Sects like that would normally have dozens of ancestors whose strength far surpassed the sect master in control of the sect and would have far too many Nascent Soul Realm Experts for them all to become core elders
