Flying through the underground cave, Xuan Hao soon noticed that the cave was getting smaller and smaller with every meter he travelled. Even worse, he was still far away from the surface and there had been no new tunnels appearing either. In the end, he might just have forced himself into a corner by escaping into the underground cave

At least he had would have more time and have a higher chance of finding a way back to the surface by entering the underground cave Far better than waiting for the demonic cultivator to catch up to him in the underground tunnel network located beneath the eastern part of the capital.

"So fast!?"

Feeling the demonic cultivator growing closer and closer with an even greater speed than before, Xuan Hao could not help growing a bit nervous about his future outcome. No matter what, he didn't want to end up in a fight with the demonic cultivator.

Even if he ended up winning, he would surely end up injured in the process and when he got back to the surface, he would still have to deal with whatever scheme that General Guan had planned to deal with Yi Min.

The plan to deal with someone like Yi Min in her own territory would surely be terrifying...

Shaking his head as he thought about this, Xuan Hao stopped himself from letting his thoughts wander towards what plans General Guan might have for dealing with Yi Min. Instead focusing on his current precarious situation.

"A gate?"

Looking up ahead, Xuan Hao felt a bit bewildered as he spotted a giant gate blocking his path forward appear up ahead and for some reason, the gate looked quite familiar. Not that he had any time to think about it as he still had a demonic cultivator chasing after him from behind

Directly gathering his power together with his sword domain into a small thin transparent sword, Xuan Hao did not even bother finding out how strong the giant gate blocking his way was before slashing down towards the large gate in the distance.

Along with the transparent sword descending, a terrifying arc of sword light was formed in the air along the travel path of the sword

Swish~

Within a short instant, the arc of sword light was fully formed as it flew towards the large gate, while the transparent sword in Xuan Hao's hand dispersed into the surrounding. Leaving behind no trace of its existence.

BOOM!

The arc of sword light formed by the transparent sword directly crashed into the large gate ahead, as it exploded into before transforming into a terrifying vortex of sword energy that quickly grinded its way through the large gate before dissipating upon having completely destroyed the large gate.

Just in time for Xuan Hao's arrival as he easily passed through the now destroyed gate and made it to the other side.

The sword attack he had used just a moment ago, was something he had come up with himself after having studied the Untold Swords Mantra's sword moves. Especially the first one, Sword Shadow, regarding the vortex of sword energy

Feeling the sudden activity of the system inside his sea of consciousness after he passed through the destroyed gate, Xuan Hao felt a wave of confusion wash over him before he finally realized why the large gate, he had just destroyed just now looked so familiar to him

"WHO!?"

Along with an all too familiar voice, a fear inspiring dark domain expanded over towards his direction from the other side of the now gone gate.

"You!? Why are you here again!?"

Realizing that it was Xuan Hao who had shown up again, the killing intent of the Domain Lord with the dark domain clearly increased to another level as he thought Xuan Hao had come to make trouble once again ruining the base that had just recently been repaired

Whoosh!

Without even bothering to respond to the other party, Xuan Hao directly used his ice domain to counter his domain before rushing forward with renewed energy.

Compared to the unfamiliar cave behind him, Xuan Hao had already been to the underground base before, and he already knew the way back to the surface from there!

All he had to do now was rush towards the exit he already knew about!

"How dare you just run away again! This time-"

Seeing Xuan Hao completely ignore him as he rushed towards the newly constructed main gate into the underground base, the Domain Lord in charge of defending the underground base did not even have time to complain before he suddenly sensed the terrifying demonic cultivator chasing after Xuan Hao from behind.

Just as this thought crossed through his mind, a terrifying roar could be heard coming from the underground cave that Xuan Hao and the demonic cultivator had come out from

He had to kill a demonic creature that had the strength of a Half-Step Soul Ascension Realm Expert! Not only that, but that was the weakened strength of the demonic creature!

At this point in time, Xuan Hao no longer felt that the demonic cultivator chasing after him from behind was that scary. After all, the demonic creature was very likely to reach the Soul Ascension Realm when it recovered!

Making it to the tunnel he had first used to reach the underground cave where the secret base was located, Xuan Hao didn't wait for even a moment as he rushed into it and made his way up towards the surface. The demonic cultivator following closely behind him. Followed by the elderly Domain Lord escaping from the giant demonic rat.

"Roar!"

Seeing the elderly man escape into the small tunnel only designed for a few humans to walk side by side through.. The giant demonic rat roared angrily as it crashed headfirst into the cave walls before angrily digging into the ground where the tunnel was located to chase after the elderly Domain Lord.
