"What is happening?" Itachi was completely stunned "Why … Sharingan… How is this possible?"

"Itachi …" Izumi came forward with her eyes sad and slightly wet and hugged him. Itachi stiffened on the sudden intimate contact . However Izumi seemed oblivious to it as she hugged him close while softly patting back of his head. "Its fine Itachi, you don't need to rush it. You are the strongest and most hardworking Uchiha I have ever seen with the purest and kindest heart. You will definitely awaken the Sharingan don't worry. In the mean while , I will always be with you . You will always be the same to me whether you have awoken your eyes or not."

Itachi felt her warm breath tickle his ears as he felt her soft fingers running through his long hair. His hands fluttered on his sides before he slowly brought them up and hugged her back gently and hesitatingly.

"Ah… " Izumi gasped softly in happiness as Itachi hugged her back. Itachi gave a smile at that as he knew she would be feeling really happy that he finally responded to her. But he was glad for her presence in his life. He had temporarily forgotten everything but the two of them.

Suddenly he felt Izumi stiffening in his arms.

"Itachi … we gotta run !" Izumi suddenly said while hurriedly trying to pull him away.

"I am afraid that its too late for that. I have work from you both . Especially from you Miss Izumi Uchiha" Mystery Man with his hand bandaged approached them with a stern face

Itachi noticed finally that they were surrounded by ANBU but these didn't seem like the ANBU he had encountered while working under Hokage. These were very similar clothed with no distinguis.h.i.+ng features among those of the same gender . It was as if they were made to have no individuality of their own .

"Who are you? I don't have to remind you that you are messing with the Uchiha Heir without any reason do I?" Izumi tried to threaten her way out of this. "If you harm him without any reason the Uchihas wont stay quiet."

"Uchihas…" The man sneered at the mention of them and Itachi finally recognized him. It was Danzo, the elder who had visited him on his graduation trying to recruit him to his shady ROOT organization before messing with his graduation options and recommending Minazuki as his Sensei. In a way Danzo was responsible for everything that went wrong in his life.

"What do you need from us Danzo Sama" Itachi inquired in a neutral voice.

"Ah so the young head of Uchiha does remember me" Danzo gave a nasty smirk "Nothing much but … you see ever since your ancestor , that thrice cursed Madara Uchiha with those ridiculously overpowered eyes of his had appeared among Uchihas , My Sensei and I could never really trust you all. You Uchihas have always been a source of trouble for this village with those eyes of yours. But we cant let you leave either since you are useful at times too and letting you guys leave might weaken the village. So.. I got a wonderful idea when one of your own gave his eyes to a perfectly normal ninja without any Kekkei Genkai , making him one of the most well known s.h.i.+n.o.bi of today and gaining him the t.i.tle 'Copy Ninja' . If one of you can donate your eyes…" Danzo took out a straight short blade at this point, as did the ANBU surrounding them "Why not more of you do the same for the village. This village needs more Uchiha sacrifices to prosper , and your eyes will be put to good use. Especially Uchiha like you miss Izumi who cant even operate your eyes for long, such a waste. Such beautiful and powerful eyes should belong to those who know its use." Danzo said as he turned his eyes filled with greed towards Izumi who had just activated her Sharingan.

"Itachi…. get ready. I will make an opening for you to escape. Get Fugaku sama , here as he is the only one who can fight these people. " Izumi said while scanning each ANBU with her Sharingan ready for any sign of their attack.

"Izumi .. you.."

"I love you Itachi ." Saying as much Izumi jumped towards an ANBU who had made a sign of moving towards them while sending a few Shuriken towards them. Itachi too sent a lot of shurikens bouncing at each other, creating a dangerous zone of dancing shurikens. However at that moment , he heard a scream. Turning back he saw an ANBU with a Ninjato slicing through a few of Izumi's fingers holding her Kunai while she also had a deep cut on the shoulder of the same arm.

"IZUMI!!!" Itachi screamed as his vision turned red. However shockingly he had Three Tomoe in his eyes instead of the usual Two of his he had awakened in the real world. He became berserk and projected killing intent without restraint. However, unknown to him an ANBU appeared behind him and sent an army of insects at him, weighing him down with their weight as they injected their poison into him completely paralyzing him from the neck down.

"Itachi ?!" Izumi tried to get to him to free him, however it was not mean to be. Danzo intercepted her and sent his short blade enhanced with Wind Chakra through her gut , shredding her insides and making her spout mouthfuls of blood which Danzo dodged.

"Geez these Uchiha, making me work so hard. Get her eyes." Danzo commanded. Two of his ANBU came forward with a weird instrument with insect like legs and a curved smooth membrane in between.

"No .. No .. stay away .." Izumi said weakly as they reached her. They forcefully tilted up her head and jammed the instrument right at her eyes.

"aaiiirghh .. aaaargghhhiii .. aagghharrhh" Izumi screamed her throat out as the instrument slowly and methodically scooped her eyes out . Seeing her you wouldn't have believed that she was barely able to speak a moment ago.

"Izumi!!! IZUMI !!!!!! Leave her alone, please!" Itachi screamed too and tears of blood leaked from his eyes and his eyes felt as if they were burning.

In a few moments Izumi went quiet both since she had ran out of a functioning throat and because their torture had ended . Another ANBU came forward with a gla.s.s airtight jar containing a weird transparent liquid which didn't even create a sound as the eyes were dropped in it. After sealing it, Danzo added a few Sealing Jutsus on it to make sure only he could open it. Then he turned towards Izumi with a smile.

"Miss Izumi, you have done this village a great service. Thanks to you we can finally research if it's possible to transplant Sharingan to all expert Leaf Ninjas loyal to this village and fighting for it with their lives. This village will prosper thanks to your sacrifice.."

"Itachi.. .Itachi …. I … " Izumi called out weakly stretching out a hand in Itachi's direction.

"Izumi … yes I am right here Izumi" Blood kept flowing from Itachi's eyes as his Sharingan spun faster than ever and he tried to crawl towards Izumi's outstretched hand. Somehow managing inch forward , he dragged his body slowly forwards and laid his head on Izumi's blood soaked hand.

"Itachi … I .. love.. cojjhhg. uupllle" Izumi spouted another mouthful of blood while trying to speak.

"Yes .. Yes .. I love you too .. I love you too Izumi" Itachi said with his voice breaking up in his grief. Izumi closed her hollow eyes on hearing this, soft smile like usual covering her blood covered lips.

"Itachi … Dummy … took so .. long to --" at that moment Danzo slammed a foot right at Izumi's throat, breaking her neck and throat and instantly killing her. Itachi looked at Danzo's foot resting against Izumi's throat in shock while he kept calling out her name softly in a daze to get her to respond to him.

"I thought that was enough of lover's chit chat . I don't have all day you see and I need your eyes too before they get damaged from all the blood tears you have been crying out for so long --- " Danzo shut up at this point as he saw Itachi's Pure Hatred filled gaze with his Sharingan revolving faster than anyone's Danzo had seen . Itachi let out a suffocating killing intent as if a Demon King was out to destroy the world. The ANBU all got their weapons out a they knew that one could never be careful enough with an Uchiha .

"I will Kill you ALLLLLL!!!!!!!!" Itachi screamed as his Sharingan started to change. The Three Tomoe of his Sharingan completely merged together, before growing out and transforming into a three bladed curved Shuriken like symbol in his red eyes. Danzo was stunned and just one word slipped out of his mouth "Mangekyo…" as he and all his ANBU were devoured by raging hungry mouths of Black Flame projections, instantly turning them to ashes. The flames responded to Itachi's grief as they spread out , devouring everything around him and Izumi . Soon a gla.s.s shattering sound echoed in his mind as Itachi blacked out.
