105. Therefore _the fathers shall eat the sons_ in the midst of thee, and the _sons shall eat their fathers_; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter into all the winds.

"Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord G.o.d, surely because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish thee, _neither shall mine eye spare, neither will 1 have any pity._." Ezek. v. 10, 11.

106. So the Lord sent _pestilence_ upon Israel; and there fell of Israel _seventy thousand men_. 1st. Chron. xxi. 14.

IMPARTIALITY.

Then Peter opened his mouth and said, Of a truth I perceive that _G.o.d is no respecter of persons_. Acts x.

For there is _no respect of persons with G.o.d_. Romans ii. 11.

109. Therefore I endure all things for the _elect's_ sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. 2 Tim. ii. 10.

110. For thou art a holy people unto the Lord thy G.o.d; the Lord thy G.o.d hath _chosen_ thee, to be a _special people unto himself_ above all the people that are upon the face of the earth. Deut. vii. 6.

IMMUTABILITY.

For I am the Lord, _I change not_; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Malachi iii. 6.

Every good gift, and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the father of lights, _with whom is no variableness neither shadow of turning_. James i. 17.

G.o.d is not a man, that he should lie, _neither the son of man, that he should repent_; hath he said, _and shall he not do it?_ or hath he spoken, _and shall he not make it good?_ Numbers xxiii. 19.

121. And the Lord said, I will destroy man, whom I have created, from the face of the earth, both man and beast, and the creeping, things, and the fowls of the air: for it _repenteth_ me that I have made them.

I will _repent_ of the evil that I thought to do unto them. If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will _repent of the good_ wherewith I said I would benefit them. Jer. xviii. 8; 10.

126. For thus saith the Lord, like as I have brought all this great _evil_ upon this people, so will I bring upon them the _good_ which I have promised them. Jeremiah x.x.xii. 42.

127. And rend your heart and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your G.o.d; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and _repenteth_ him of the evil. Joel ii. 13.

128. And G.o.d saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and G.o.d _repented of the evil_ that he had said he would do unto them; and he did it not. Jonah iii. 10.

INCOMPREHENSIBILITY.

Who is the image of the _invisible_ G.o.d, the first born of every creature. Coloss. i. W.

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of G.o.d! _how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out_. Romans xi. 33.

For _my thoughts_ are not _your thoughts_, neither are _your ways my ways_ saith the Lord. Isaiah iv. 8.
