Chapter 9 Part 2 – Mom is coming!

He initially thought that his mother will be very happy upon hearing the good news, but she unexpectedly burst into tears and said, “Minmin, you have grown up. Now that you are successful, you've cast your mother away. You didn't give me a call over the weekend. You used to call mom every weekend.”

Seeing her cry, Chen Minhao could only nicely explained, “I'm too busy recently. That's why I forgot about it. Besides, I came to pick you up immediately once I realized that you came to Shanghai. I promise that I'll call you every weekend from now on.”

“You don't have to call me from now on as I'm had a falling out with your Dad. Your Dad doesn't want me anymore so I can only come to you. My haohao, if you don't want mom too, then I will be at a loss of what to do.”

He knew better than to ask why they quarrel. He knew that his mom is going through a hard time where she is feeling insecure. He could only follow what she says, and wait until she calm down before asking the reason why they had quarrel.

He sent a message to his Dad. “I've picked up Mom at Shanghai. Don't worry.”

His phone rang once more, and the caller ID displayed “Kang Hui”.

Kang Hui called him, and urged him. “Hurry to the company's eighth floor recording studio, Wu Hongrong is available to help you record the demo today.”

Chen Minhao did not complain about getting such a short notice because it is the same in any circle, if your position in the circle isn't very high, you can only accommodate whatever the time the others have.

Looking at the time currently, and after some consideration, he felt a little uncomfortable to leave his Mom alone at home as she needs someone to accompany her at her current state, if he send his mother back to his home first, then be on his way to the company. Also, he will make Wu Hongrong and Kang Hui wait very long for him.

Although he knew that it would be inappropriate, he still took his mother to the recording studio on the eighth floor with him. Fortunately, Wu Hongrong and Kang Hui had not arrive yet.

After Kang Hui reached the studio, he explained to her why he had brought his mother over. Kang Hui was very friendly and greeted his mother warmly.

Kang Hui gave a call to Wu Xiaoshaung and asked her to accompany his mother to go on a shopping trip.

Chen Minhao was thankful towards Kang Hui in his heart, and admired her ability to kill three birds with one stone. On one hand, she'd solved the inconvenience of his mother being in the recording studio. On the other hand, she'd gotten into his mother and his good books. He felt that if there comes a day where he have the intention of leaving Kang Hui to find another agent, his mother may put in a few good words for Kang Hui.
