I have a world to choose? What does she mean by that? I get to choose what anime I travel to? This dream is getting more cliche by the minute. Even if it isn't true though, I should still choose and anime. It will make the dream more interesting that way.

"What worlds can I choose from?" I hoped that I get a less dangerous world, something more peaceful and civilized. Though, the odds of me getting into a peaceful world are low; Even if I got into a peaceful world, there probably wouldn't be anything for me to do there.

"You can only choose between a few worlds for now. The worlds that you can choose from will show up in front of you now."

s.h.i.+t. Is this for real? There are some very tame options, but choosing One Punch Man is just begging to be killed. No way I would do something like that until I get stronger. Kuroko no Basket and a.s.sa.s.sination Cla.s.sroom though, those are two different situations where I am still on a relatively normal Earth. Magi and Hunter x Hunter... Maybe. If I want to get stronger while having fun than they are both options but Hunter x Hunter is probably safer, until the Chimera Ant arc.

The real question is do I want to get stronger in a dangerous world or live in a peaceful world... I would probably have to try too hard in a.s.sa.s.sination Cla.s.sroom so that's out. Kuroko no Basket is also out for the same reason. Maybe Magi? No, too much actual war... Hunter x Hunter is nice, but it's also not necessarily a great option either. I would probably die in One Punch Man at the first fight I find so that's a definite no. I guess there is only one good option for me right now... oh well.

"Ai-chan, I think I've made my choice. I want to the world of Hunter x Hunter."

"Is that so? Good, I was tired of waiting. Do you have any specific requests as far as when you appear there or where you appear? Also, I will need you to choose a Nen type. Don't ask for something super overpowered either, because it will not happen. You need to gain strength over time and earn your powers, not just have a cheat of some sort. It's no fun that way."

What... No cheats? Guess I can't expect this to be like a typical Isekai anime after all. Where and when I want to appear? Hmm... Maybe a year or more before that plot starts because I need to be able to pa.s.s the hunter exam before things take a turn for the worse. As for the where I should appear, it should either be the Heaven's Arena or the Zoldyck Mansion. Both have the potential for me to train and survive for a while before the plot begins.

"Ai-chan, I think I should start a year before the start of the main plot. As for where I would like to appear, Somewhere near either Kukuroo mountain or the Heaven's Arena would be nice. Also, I want my Nen type to be Specialization."

"Okay! No problem. I will send you to the World of Hunters immediately, so please wait a moment," as she spoke, a bright light similar to hers surrounded me. The light continued to grow brighter until I can't see anything.

"Integration complete! Please open your eyes now, Drake-san. You are now in a new world." She exclaimed. I wonder when, and if, I will see her appearance and not the light that surrounds her.

"Where are we?" I look around and see some trees. I guess that tells me I'm not at the Heaven's Arena. I must be at Kukuroo Mountain then.

"You are at the base of Kukuroo mountain, just outside of the Testing Gate."

Yep. Just like I thought. I guess that I should look for the gate and its keeper. I wonder who's on s.h.i.+ft right now. Since it looks to be around noon, Zebro is probably the one on s.h.i.+ft. I honestly wonder if they will even allow me to stay and train to open the gate. Zebro only let Gon and the others train so they could see Killua again, so my odds are pretty low but if I can't stay then I can just try to head to the Heaven's Arena.

As I wander around the forest, I find a dirt road and follow it. After walking for a while I see the outline of the Testing Gate. I ran the rest of the distance, hoping to see Zebro or Seaquant, the two gatekeepers. The GateKeeper's office appears to be empty, so I waited for a while before hearing a voice walking towards me in the distance.

"Hey. What are you doing waiting out here for, boy? Also, why aren't you wearing any shoes?" the arrogance in the voice tells me it's probably Seaquant's s.h.i.+ft right now.

How troublesome... I was hoping for Zebro. Wait, what did he just say about shoes? I look down to check what I'm wearing since I somehow managed to not notice earlier. Huh, I don't have any shoes on. I'm in my sleepwear, which consists of black basketball shorts and a grey athletics s.h.i.+rt, though I'm not sure what I expected. I suppose my outfit makes sense though; It is what I went to sleep in.

"I was waiting out here hoping to get training from the Zoldyck family. My lack of shoes is something I somehow didn't even notice until you brought it up. As for why I don't have any shoes, it's hard to explain."

"Are you serious? You want to receive training from the Zoldycks? Ha, don't make me laugh. You're just some overconfident runt."

"Hey, I resent that. I'm not overconfident. in fact, I would say that I am one of the few people who actually know their own limitations. Anyway, are you going to train me to open the Testing Gate or not? I know how the gate really works, you need to open the gate by hand using only raw strength to get in, otherwise, you're labeled as an intruder and killed by the guard dog Mike."

Hopefully, he's impressed with the amount of knowledge I just displayed and decides to help me. If not, I will probably need to find some money so I can get to Heaven's Arena.

"Is that so... you sure do know a lot for a runt. In fact, you know more than should. Tell me, runt, how did you learn about the Testing Gate and Mike? That stuff isn't exactly public knowledge, kid."

s.h.i.+t. I should have expected this. What do I say now, I just overheard someone say it while traveling? I've done my research and I want to be trained by the strongest? No, neither of those would work. Maybe I should play it off as me just making guesses based on rumors I've heard... but that won't explain how I knew the name of the guard dog. f.u.c.k it, let's just go with option B.

"I've done some research, I plan to get trained by the strongest available person I could find and the Zoldyck name kept popping up. A family of the world's deadliest a.s.sa.s.sins, trained from birth to be a lethal weapon. It's something that I couldn't pa.s.s up the opportunity to see for myself."

"Really, you learned about both the Testing Gate and Mike purely from research? Somehow, I find that hard to believe. Don't lie to me kid, you'll regret it." Seriously? I don't think I've ever been threatened by someone before. Not by someone who can back it up, anyway.

"Believe me or don't, I don't really care either way. I just want to become stronger so I can survive in this world. Dangerous things will happen in the next few years and I need to prepare for them." Not that I expect him to believe me, but it wouldn't hurt to be honest with him.

"I believe you, runt. The world is a dangerous place, and it keeps getting worse with each pa.s.sing day. Doesn't mean that you will get trained by the Zoldycks though, so I suggest you go back to where ever it is you came from."

"I'm not leaving yet. I plan to stay here as long as it takes for me to open the Testing Gate. Until then, I am just going to camp outside of the gate. Not that I have any gear to camp with. so I will just be sleeping outside the gate, maybe under some tree, until you train me till I can open it."

"All right, you do that. I'm still not going to train you. Now then, I have a job to do so I'll be in my office. Don't bother me anymore, all right? Good. Don't make a lot of noise either, or I will throw you onto the next tour bus out of here."
