"Maven Research is essential to our lives as Mavens. Not only will it improve our way of living, but also will it improve our way of fighting. As Mavens, fightings on war is inevitable, so, in order to be firmer, we need a continuously evolving way of fighting. Stuffs like developing a new type of magic or finding a new tool is just a small fraction of what really is the subject Maven Research all about." Azure the leader said.

"Very well said Azure. Now, on your front is a tome. This tome contains the basics of a certain element. Azure got Air, Incar got Earth, Segnale got Lightning, Mana got Metal, Zangar got Nature, Lotus got Water, Heist got Ice, and Azrael got Fire." Miss Diana said, we looked at our front and a tome appear.

"Now, what I want you to do is to study the structure, the scripture, and the formulas of that certain element. After that, either you'll improve what's already there or make a new one is up to you. I will give this whole week to do this, I will not be around this week so Azure will supervise you. After a week, we will have a test regarding this matter. Any questions?" She added. "So here's the thing, I will send us to a dimension for training. In there, time runs differently. A minute here is an hour in there. So, we will fight there for an hour. Give it your all, don't worry, I won't get hurt nor you because in that dimension, if we rest for a bit, we will automatically be healed." I nodded again, she smiled.

She snapped her hand . And then a gate suddenly appeared below us, the gate opened and we fell.

"Wind Cutter!" I attacked first. Wind Cutter is a tier 1 Wind Attack, it gathers wind in a crescent shaped hallow and is fired at the enemy, that attack's purpose is to buy time.

"Speed Force! Flex Ability! Mana Man!" I casted three Enhancements on me. Mana Man is a tier 5 Enhancement that increases the targets mana for a certain amount of time.

"That attack is child's play, this is how you attack with winds." She said "Wind Bullets." Wind Bullets is a tier 3 magic, it makes wind sharp when focused on the casters palm. And then the caster shoots it to its target, it is faster than Wind Cutter.

Thanks to my Enhancement, I managed to dodge every attack.

After an hour of battling, I lost to Miss Karacule.

"You really are good at defense and Enhancement. Even though I win, I barely got you because of your enhanced speed and amazing defense magic. The reason why you lose is you can't attack me. So , we will need to train your offense."she said.

"So any questions?" She asked.

"Is it possible to use many skills at once?" I asked

"The limit is two. A maven can only use two magic circle at once. More than that, the magic circle will explode." She said, I was expecting this answer but what if...

"That may be possible, okay I allow you to use my time for that. I will help you!" I explained the a.s.signment Miss Diana gave, and how I plan for the new type of skill.
