Chapter 1160 - Miss Me?

Chapter 1160: Miss Me?

It felt like… a long time since he had last seen her. Ever since Lu Yeming had brought her to Country A, she hadn’t contacted him of her own will.

That night, on her 26th birthday, the two of them had sat in the rental car, driving towards an unknown location. They had been entwined so pa.s.sionately, kissing as if there was no tomorrow…

That all felt like a dream right now.

At this moment, Xuan Ying walked up to receive him personally. “West Duke, Your Highness, welcome.”

Lu Yeming’s deep eyes turned amused as the corners of his lips slowly turned upwards. “Thank you, Silver Mask King.”

The two most powerful men in Country A were in the same s.p.a.ce now and the sight of them was more dazzling than the most luminous pearl in the world.

Beside him, Tang Mo’er nodded politely in greeting.

“West Duke, so this is Her Highness. She really is as fair as the flowers and as beautiful as the moon.”

“Has Your Highness already settled the details of your marriage? My son is the right age for me to introduce him.”

A crowd of people flooded in and started noticing Tang Mo’er. The West Duke’s sister was beautiful beyond belief and had always been popular.

Gu Mohan and Tang Mo’er were already divorced. The wedding had also been completely erased. This was Country A, so no one knew about this part of her past. It was as though nothing had ever taken place.

Gu Mohan’s eyebrow slowly knitted together.

At this moment, Lu Yeming’s low, magnetic voice sounded out. “Ladies and gentlemen, my sister is already engaged and will be married soon.”

Everyone gasped. “Who is Her Highness is getting married to?”

“Me.”

The crowd parted naturally as Feng Lihen walked down the red carpet.

“It’s Master Feng.”

“Her Highness is marrying Master Feng. So the rumors were true. The West Duke and North Duke are going to be united through marriage.”

Everyone was whispering amongst themselves.

Feng Lihen walked over to Tang Mo’er and reached out to hold her hand. In response, Tang Mo’er lifted her eyes and smiled lightly back at him.

All this was seen by Gu Mohan as his hands by his side clenched into fists.

“Mo’er, what would you like to eat? I’ll help you get it,” Feng Lihen said.

Tang Mo’er looked at the feast in front of her and shook her head. “I don’t feel like eating anything.”

“Mo’er, President Gu is looking at us,” Feng Lihen reminded her softly.

Tang Mo’er didn’t raise her head. From the moment she entered, she could already feel Gu Mohan’s dark, fiery gaze following her closely.

“Master Feng, I’m going to the toilet for a while.”

Tang Mo’er turned and left.

In the toilet.

Tang Mo’er stood in front of the sink. She lifted her eyes to look at her reflection in the mirror. She suddenly noticed a strand of white hair behind the raven black strands.

She quickly plucked out the strand of white hair.

But then she froze. As she pushed away strands of her raven black hair, she discovered a few more strands of white hidden underneath.

Her small pale hands started trembling. She was only 26 and her hair was already turning white.

She had stopped taking AR.

Ever since she stopped taking the drug, she had gone back to normal. She had stopped hallucinating and would no longer mistake other people.

But the effects of AR were already showing themselves. She was aging rapidly.

As she looked at her beautiful face in the mirror, she saw that the edges of her eyes had already started to show wrinkles. In such a short time, she had become so old.

She was scared.

Really scared.

She was afraid to face her aging self and was even more afraid to let Gu Mohan see her aging. Tang Mo’er covered her face with her hands as her eyes turned red.

After composing herself, Tang Mo’er pushed open the toilet door and walked out. As she walked down the corridor, she froze as she saw a familiar figure.

It was Gu Mohan.

Gu Mohan had both hands in his pockets, his handsome back against the white wall. His shoulders were spread, revealing his exquisite chest.

His white s.h.i.+rt was without a tie and there was a white pocket square on his blazer. His fringe was pushed up against his forehead, revealing his stunning features and his charisma.

Tang Mo’er’s bright eyes landed on his face as she took him in greedily.

She missed him so much.

All she wanted was to run forward and jump into his arms. She wanted to tell him to stop looking for an antidote to AR because there was none. She didn’t want him to do anything else. All she wanted was for him to embrace her, to hold her close.

It was just like all those years before, when he watched her grow up lovingly. His strong shoulders and broad chest would always be her safe s.p.a.ce. How lucky she was, that she had met him during the most beautiful times of her life when she was in the prime of youth.

Gu Mohan looked to the side as he heard her approach.

His eyes landed on her small face.

Tang Mo’er clutched her hands tightly, ignoring the pain that was drilling into her bones. She kept her calm facade as she s.h.i.+fted her gaze away and walked forward.

She walked over to him, their shoulders brus.h.i.+ng as she walked past. She focused all her efforts into maintaining her calm, treating him as though he was a stranger.

Acting was her forte and now she had to put on the best performance of her life.

As she brushed past him, he laughed softly.

He laughed.

Softly yet warmly.

Tang Mo’er was forced to stop as he stretched out his legs to block her path. Her entire facade was destroyed in a second.

Tang Mo’er took a deep breath and s.h.i.+fted her eyes to look at him. In return, Gu Mohan was looking at her as well. He took his large hands out of his pockets and reached over, pinching her chin softly. “What’s wrong? Were you crying?”

Tang Mo’er’s heart throbbed. He knew at one glance that she had been crying.

Gu Mohan narrowed his deep eyes and stood up. The wrinkles on his trousers straightened out. His pants were crisp and sharp, slim and alluring.

Looking at her vaguely red eyes, he spoke to her in a gentle deep voice, “Did someone bully you? Or did you… miss me?”

It had been a long time since she had heard his voice. His low, magnetic voice was like a cello in the night. Especially when he was speaking so gently into her ear, it felt as though even her ear could get pregnant.

Tang Mo’er’s tiny nose turned red as tears slowly filled her bright eyes.

Moving closer, Gu Mohan placed his forehead against hers. He rubbed his forehead gently against hers. “I’ve missed you too. Missing you is now a routine that’s become a part of my every night.”

He licked his dry lips and laughed lovingly. “Tell me, why are you still torturing me? My Mrs Gu…”

My Mrs Gu…

Mrs Gu…

Tang Mo’er’s eyelashes quivered as she quickly lowered her head. She knew that even the AR drug couldn’t take away her memories. No one had ever left such an impression in her heart as him. Mrs Gu was who she was.

In the future, and the far future, and even after that, she would never forget this man.

She would never forget again.

Gu Mohan sniffed her fragrance gently. He had been wild and free when he was young. Now they both craved each other’s young bodies and were willing to spend all their energy on each other. They could no longer surpa.s.s those times even if they wanted to now.

They didn’t do anything, only stood there like that.

He was in love with her warmth.

Gu Mohan looked at her and lowered his eyes, then kissed her slowly.

He was about to kiss her.

Tang Mo’er didn’t move. She knew that she should reject him but she had no energy to. She was swallowed into his embrace. She was like a leaf that encircled around him, moved with him.

His lips were almost on her.

Tang Mo’er closed her eyes slowly.

At this moment, a wicked voice sounded out beside her ear. “Little Momo, what’re you doing?”

Feng Lihen was here.

Feng Lihen was like a pail of cold water poured over them, drenching them from head to toe. She placed both hands on his chest and pushed him away at once.

Gu Mohan stepped back. He slowly frowned.

Tang Mo’er didn’t dare to look at him. She was afraid that she wouldn’t be able to leave if she did. She ran over to Feng Lihen and put her hands in his large palms. She raised her head and smiled at Feng Lihen. “Hubby.”

She called Feng Lihen ‘hubby’.

Her voice was still as sweet as it was in the past. She still sounded spoiled when she said ‘hubby’.

Whenever she called him that in the past, it would make his heart melt.

But now she was calling someone else ‘hubby’.

Gu Mohan’s handsome face turned dark as his whole body tensed. He stared at her slim figure silently.

Tang Mo’er knew he was looking at her even with her back to him. She reached out to wrap her arms around Feng Lihen’s neck and kissed his thin lips.

It wasn’t a real kiss.

But from Gu Mohan’s angle, it looked as though she had really kissed him.

She had kissed Feng Lihen.

Gu Mohan’s face was beyond dark. His hands balled into fists so hard his knuckles cracked. He was livid. Tang Mo’er back away and pulled on Feng Lihen’s hand. “Hubby, let’s go home.”

“Alright.” Feng Lihen took one last glance at Gu Mohan and left with Tang Mo’er.

Tang Mo’er laughed softly as she left with him. “Hubby, I met someone strange just now. He even wanted to kiss me…”

In an instant, her slim figure disappeared from his sights. She had left with Feng Lihen.

Gu Mohan stood rooted to the ground for a long time. The lights along the corridor shone on him. He was half lit and half in the shadows.

At this moment, his secretary Zhu Qing walked over. “President, we just received news that both the West Palace and North Palace have announced that Madam will be marrying Feng Lihen in a month.”

Tang Mo’er walked back to the banquet. She found Lu Yeming and said softly, “Yeming.”

The influential people around Lu Yeming scattered and Lu Yeming looked at Tang Mo’er. “Sister, what’s wrong?”

Tang Mo’er rubbed her head. “I feel a little dizzy. I want to go back first.”

“I’ll take you back.”

“It’s fine, I can go back by myself. Don’t worry.”

Tang Mo’er waved her hand and left.

As soon as they left the main hall, someone ran into them, cras.h.i.+ng into Tang Mo’er.

“Sorry, I’m sorry,” the person apologised profusely.

Tang Mo’er lifted her eyes to look at the person and her pupils suddenly dilated…
