Ever since Zhou Qin Yang's words from the hospital, Lee Jun Ting slowly understand what she meant about the gap. Back in high school, the time they spent with each other forged a very close bond. They almost everything about each other but after being apart for 7 years, it felt like there was a big hole in between them. Thus, that's why Qin Yang mentioned the big gap.

After thinking for so many days on how to fill it, he thought to go back where they started, at high school on the day where he was supposed to tell her something important.

Jun TIng turns around to look at Qin Yang, a smile crept on his face when he saw her enjoying his surprise. The princ.i.p.al's wife switched placed with the old man as she was told to call out the name of the graduate, the old man stood in the middle of the stage with both hands behind his back as he was ready to hand out the diploma.

Qin Yang clutched her chest, a feeling that she couldn't describe. ' Was this what I missed seven years ago? This warm feeling...?'

She watches as her old cla.s.smates go on stage in line as their name is called out one by one. "Zhang Li Li. " the old woman called out next with a sweet voice. Li Li puts her hand on her best friend and squeezed it tight before standing up and walk towards the stage, Qin Yang smiled in return.

" Zhou Qin Yang. "

Qin Yang stood up slowly, her eyes wandered around the hall as she walks towards the stage, searching for a familiar face. Within a second, she saw him. Qin Yang mustering all of her sincerity in her and looked deeply into his, she mouths to him " Thank you. "

The old man pa.s.ses her the diploma as soon as she was within his distance, he shook her hand with a warm smile, in a grandfather-like tone" You must be the main character today. I remembered you were the one that helped me find my medicine. You are all grown up. Congratulations on graduating. "

Qin Yang bowed her head slightly in respect and giggles" Thank you, princ.i.p.al. You still look as healthy as years ago. "

" Aiya... I will still die one day even if you try to flatter me " he says in a playful tone, making both of them exchange laughter.

Time pa.s.sed by in a flash, as soon as they heard the familiar school bell rang, everyone prepared to say their goodbyes and exchange warm conversations. Zhang Li Li hands her the flowers she bought for her earlier " Congratulations on graduating from high school!" she said in a teasing manner.

"Aish... thank you. How did everyone manage to come?" she looks around the lively hall, it has been quite a long time since she saw everyone's faces. Zhang Li Li is content seeing her best friend's expressions " I don't know, isn't it better to ask the person who did it in person?", signaling with her eyes towards to the person behind him, no other than Lee Jun Ting himself.

Zhou Qin Yang turns towards him, staring at him like he is some high school prince. Zhang Li Li shakes her head at her hopeless friend, she clears her throat intentionally to snap Qin Yang back towards her " I will have to leave now, I only took a half-day off only "

" Eh? But we barely talked. " she pouts.

Li Li laughs and stroke her head " We can arrange a girls day out someday. Maybe you can introduce me to your friends that talked about before"

After Li Li left, there was light tap on her shoulder from her back. She turns around to find Mr Kim standing behind her, he looks exactly as she remembered except with a few wrinkles.

" Mr Kim. "

" Miss Zhou or should I say soon-to-be Mrs Lee "

" It's nice to see you again, sir" she greets with respect.

Looking around at all of his students that were like children to him grow up, and back to her " It is amazing how time flies by so fast. I miss calling you to my office and do my job with the handouts"

Qin Yang's veins on her forehead twitched in annoyance 'So he does know what he did yet he is not sorry about it. He is really shameless'

She forced a smile " Yes, Mr Kim. Certainly, those times are worth remembering."

The hall was almost empty when Lee Jun Ting went to Qin Yang's side, her fingertips traces the back of his palm till both of their hands intertwine. "Thank you again, Ah Ting..."

" Do you like my surprise?" he hums in delight.

Qin Yang replies back in a similar tone " Very much."

"Well there is more to come." he pulls her to his chest and wraps one arm around her waist.

" What? There is more?"
