John muttered as he made his observations, "It seems s.p.a.ce Magic needs to be upgraded for it to be used against higher level enemies. However, the range of s.p.a.ce Portal seems to be 500 meters from what I can feel. But mana consumption becomes high with higher range."

Seeing that Irmela was still moving towards himself without being suddenly transported behind Leo, John held the Amulet of Thorns and activated it using his magic power when Irmela was about to penetrate him with his sword.

Irmela's face was pale as soon as he saw this, "How is this artifact from the underworld in your hands. It is mostly in the hands of Fire-abyss Royalty. And How can you transform? High humans have long been extinct by dilution. Heck, there are a lot of variables."

After watching this Irmela immediately made the distance between himself and John as he started chanting a spell and immediately Golden light s.h.i.+elds began appearing before Irmela in large numbers.

He thought, 'I hope this is enough. I have really underestimated this sinner's power. Who knew that the demons would help him actively and lend him that artifact. If I was near it then soul magic would have done irreparable damage.'

Before he could speak, The Amulet of Thorns got activated as Blood Red projectiles started appearing in large numbers before the Red dome s.h.i.+eld of John. There was a very heavy aura being emitted by the Soul-Blood Projectiles.

Meanwhile, Chad too had the same face when he saw John's transformation as he spoke, "No wonder Duke Fredric is allying with him. But how did he get the blood of Bluesea Ancestor?
