Chapter 44

With close to 30 working men working for free, the speed was quite fast. After a whole day, these thugs who originally suffered a beating didn’t have the rude and incorrigible behavior from their former days. The whole day they didn’t even have a drop of rice or water – that kind of stomach rumbling hunger was simply tortuous.

GuoGuo getting off school in the afternoon was still pretty early. The first day she went to school, for the whole day Qiu Yan secretly accompanied her, but of course GuoGuo didn’t know about these things.

“Daddy, who are these unlucky ghosts?” GuoGuo returned to the panacea restaurant, and in a glance saw something wrong with these people.

“Yesterday they beat up the workers doing the renovation, and today they came to atone.” Xu Yun stooped down and picked up GuoGuo. In a good mood, he smiled and asked, “How was school today. Did you behave yourself? Did Teacher Su say anything about me?”

GuoGuo nodded seriously. “Of course, way more than behaved! I’ll even help you hook up with Teacher Su.”

What the fudge!

Xu Yun really wanted to smash his head on the wall. He hadn’t even hooked up with anyone yet, and already GuoGuo was setting up a p.o.r.no?

“What are you going to do with these people?” Qiu Yan suddenly spoke up.

Xu Yun shook his head, “Still thinking about that. If I release them into the wind, I’m worried they’ll report back… leaving them here, there simply isn’t s.p.a.ce.”

“I’ll deal with it.” Once she finished speaking, Qiu Yan turned around and left to make several phone calls.

In less than half an hour, three cars came to the panacea restaurant entrance: a Land Rover Freelander, a Jeep Wrangler, and an Audi Q5 – all of them were 400 or 500,000 off-road vehicles.

From the three cars came three rude and st.u.r.dy-looking thugs, but not one of them weren’t completely reverent and respectful to Qiu Yan.

Xu Yun smiled his eyes squinty. He knew that last night Qiu Yan definitely wasn’t wasting time. For GuoGuo’s safety, she already started dipping her hand into the powers on the dark path in WenHui District and HeDong’s South District, and it seems that her harvests weren’t small.

“Oh my….” QiangZi was so shocked his chin was about to fall off. These guys that came, even though they weren’t as infamous as the bosses of the Blade Axe Crew and the Four Wolves Gang, it definitely wasn’t good to mess with them. “Kong Zhong, Lu Feng, Shan HongNing…. South City’s Three Tigers, they have big roots in our city’s South Second District ……”

The trio of them were collectively called the South City Three Tigers: Kong Zhong, Lu Feng and Shan HongNing. The three of them were not at all simple. During highschool, they were each the local bosses of their schools. After dropping out they didn’t become idle: Kong Zhong led his brothers on the battlefield making buckets of cash every day, and Lu Feng seized the chance of the town demolis.h.i.+ng and rebuilding and created a construction team. Shan HongNing’s family was powerful and fairly rich, and opened hot pot restaurants in Hong Kong and Macao that were very profitable.

These three did business and could easily earn money, so of course they would become infected with darkness. This year was like that, under your leaders.h.i.+p there weren’t many comrades and weren’t many people, why the f’ck were there still people trying to bully you! Since these three formed a gang, then they definitely had a few tricks in their sleeve.

Though Xu Yun didn’t recognize these people, but just by the cla.s.s of their vehicles he could conclude that at least they were stronger than QiangZi’s gang by dozens of times.

Qiu Yan wasn’t any good at talking with them, so she stretched out her hand and pointed at Xu Yun. “Whatever he says, is whatever you do.”

After the order, Qiu Yan took GuoGuo upstairs.

GuoGuo was too lazy to care about this messy situation, carrying her little backpack with a *deng deng deng* she ran up the stairs. The whole day she didn’t see her Ruan mama – in her heart she missed her, and she didn’t know if her mother was also thinking of her.

Three nearly 1.8 meter tall gangsters had an expression of grievance. While they dared to be angry they didn’t dare to say anything.

The three of them were considered good brothers. Several days ago, because at Lu Feng’s construction site arose a problem, Kong Zhong and Shan HongNing both sent out many troops, so Lu Feng arranged a place to express his thanks. Before they even drank a few bottles of booze, Qiu Yan directly went into their room.

Shan HongNing at first thought this was Lu Feng’s new chick, he cracked a smile and wanted to take some liberties with her. Before he even finished saying one word, one kick knocked him flying! Lu Feng and Kong Zhong were immediately enraged, and Qiu Yan suddenly flipped the table with one swish of her blade. The three of them each brought underlings that could fight ten at a time, and were fierce pieces of work. But instead within ten seconds, they were first knocked to the floor by Qiu Yan – each one with shallow blade imprints on their necks. If just a moment ago she used just a little more strength, right now the room would already be a field of corpses lying everywhere.

South City’s Three Tigers were flabbergasted by the scene, they understood that they had just come across someone who was truly fierce.

One of Lu Feng’s underlings took out a knife for a sneak attack. As he stabbed forward, Qiu Yan deceptively dodged; unarmed and in one maneuver, she took the advantage and twisted. That underling’s arm snapped with a crack, and folded over becoming a 90 degree angle. He screamed like a pig getting slaughtered, immediately making the South City Three Tigers’ hair crawl with tingles.

  ……

Xu Yun smiled widely and watched the three tough guys as big shots of the thug world, walk in front of him with faces restraining their grievances.

“Brother, tell us what the matter is.” Kong Zhong looked at Xu Yun up and down. Besides this punk being a little more handsome than him, everything else definitely couldn’t be compared to himself. But he put on a polite smile and said, “Yan-jie has told us that you should speak boldly about whatever issue you have.”

Shan HongNing saw Xu Yun; wrinkling his forehead, he obviously wasn’t like Kong Zhong, that smiling tiger. His brow showed a trace of impatience. “Say it, what do you want us to do? I’m still busy.”

Of the three of them, the one that most didn’t take Xu Yun seriously was Lu Feng. The one he feared was Qiu Yan, and not this unkempt punk in front of him. “Kid, what the h.e.l.l are you smiling about? If it wasn’t for Yan-jie asking us, the f’ck I would come here….”

“What did you say? Clean out your mouth!” Upon hearing that, QiangZi exploded. Even though each of them were resoundingly more famous than him, but with Xu Yun’s support, he wasn’t afraid of anything.

“What the h.e.l.l are you? You dare talk to me like that?” Lu Feng didn’t even bother to look at QiangZi. “Since when did a little baby chick pretend to have grown hard wings and try to bravado in front of me!

Kong Zhong lightly coughed as though trying to remind Lu Feng – Qiu Yan was just upstairs.

Shan HongNing patted Lu Feng’s shoulder, and whispered, “The task before us, let’s just get it over with….”

Yo, Xu Yun laughed, these guys are pretty funny – it seemed like they only served Qiu Yan. He really wanted to know just what Qiu Yan did to make them like that. But Qiu Yan was a typical warrior, who concerned herself with killing, not with burying. She simply didn’t have the desire to be a commander of the entire army, so Xu Yun decided to let them enlist under Shuang-jie.

“Hehe, if you have something to say, let’s discuss it. We all gotta do it and it isn’t easy for anyone.” Kong Zhong smoothed things over. He took out a pack of Su Smokes from his pocket, and first gave Shan HongNing and Lu Feng one each, then brought them before Xu Yun and QiangZi.

Xu Yun pushed out his hand and refused, saying, “I don’t want any.”

QiangZi wasn’t polite, he went over and took some – it was 2.5 Yuan for one!

Just as QiangZi was taking the cigarettes, Xu Yun pointed at him, and in front of these three rude and st.u.r.dy gangsters he took the opportunity and said, “Even though we gotta do what we gotta do and it isn’t easy, from now on you guys will follow him.”

The atmosphere became quiet in an instant – the fierce trio all had a lot of face in HeDong City’s southern section, and they cast their gazes on this raving punk.

QiangZi was also dumbstruck, the lit cigarette fell on the floor. “Ge, you….. you want me to become a boss?”

Xu Yun stretched his hand out poking QiangZi’s head, “My a.s.s! Your boss is me, my boss is GuoGuo, and GuoGuo’s boss is Shuang-jie, who are you calling boss?”

“Shuang-jie!” QiangZi nodded his head.

“Brother, we don’t have time to play with you.” The veins on Shan HongNing’s neck were clearly boiling out, if it wasn’t for the dread of that skillful woman who single- handedly took down four of his men, he would’ve already exploded long ago.

Lu Feng on the side had long been impatient, fortunately Kong Zhong pulled him back, and so he didn’t do anything stupid.

Xu Yun didn’t bullsh’t them, since Qiu Yan made them into subordinates, then he also could be honest with them. Xu Yun waved his hand to QiangZi and said, “Take that grandson and his people out.”

“Mmh!” QiangZi instantly ordered Xiao Fei to bring out those workers that had been working all day to come over and line up. He himself went in and dragged Wei WeiMing out like a dead dog.

With a bang, Wei WeiMing was thrown by QiangZi in front of them.

Hesitantly, Wei WeiMing’s puffy face was still covered in blood, so Lu Feng and Shan HongNing still couldn’t recognize him for the longest time, until Kong Zhong yelled out, “Wei WeiMing?!”

Shan HongNing’s face instantly turned white – this guy really had big b.a.l.l.s to dare to beat Fan NanJie’s people to such a state!

Lu Feng also went mute and turned pale – the whole time he hadn’t treated this kid in front of him seriously, but right now it seemed he was very wrong. It was him that never took them seriously right? The Blade Axe Crew’s Wei WeiMing wasn’t even in his sight – did he beat him to death?

“The thing I want you to do is very simple: look for a place to lock up these people. Tomorrow morning send them over to continue doing work for me.” Xu Yun smiled with his eyes squinted as he said it. Right now, in the eyes of Wei WeiMing, he was a devil. Even while smiling, he could absolutely make people feel dread.

Kong Zhong’s adam’s apple shook, and he swallowed some saliva. This guy….. actually wanted to have them help him imprison people from the Blade Axe Crew? Didn’t this plainly want them to offend Fan NanJie? Fan NanJie had three other district bosses supporting him. To offend him, was no different than cutting their own paths off in the future!

Several times, Lu Feng wanted to ask this guy in front of him if he even knew what the height of the sky or the thickness of the earth meant, but in the end he still couldn’t open his mouth.

At last, it was Shan HongNing who was first to be unable to resist saying something, “Do you know who you’re offending?”

“What was he called?” Xu Yun really forgot, and turned his head to ask QiangZi.

QiangZi choked, every time that person’s name was mentioned, his heart would always skip a beat. “Fan NanJie.”

“Oh, right!” Xu Yun nodded, to Shan HongNing he said, “It’s just as your Qiang-ge said.”

Qiang-ge? Inside Lu Feng coldly laughed, “If you’re looking to die, I won’t stop you. But we won’t follow you! Is Fan NanJie someone you can p.i.s.s off?”

“You mean, you’re not going to do what I asked you to?” Xu Yun’s eyes flashed with a shred of sternness, piercing killing intent suddenly exploded out from his body – just like a lightning bolt in the horizon ruthlessly smas.h.i.+ng into Shan HongNing’s body!

Lu Feng was in complete awe of that killing aura’s effect, from the deepest recesses of his mind arose a bone-piercing chill. A tremendous fear made his entire person feel smashed into defeat. The person in front of him hadn’t even attacked, and just using his imposing manner had completely crushed him!

In the end, was he a human or a demon?

Lu Feng’s legs went jelly, and he practically couldn’t stand still. Just now, Xu Yun’s thick imposing aura completely crushed Shan HongNing’s weak heart, and also spread out beside him to Kong Zhong. The two of them could clearly feel a cold sweat oozing out on their foreheads – the back of their clothes were moistened quite a bit.

Qiu Yan slowly went down the stairs, and didn’t even glance at the three of them. From the fridge she took out a bottle of spring water, and slowly went upstairs. At the bottom corner of the stairs, an icy gaze bitterly swept over the three – from upstairs, of course she could hear the voices from below.

Kong Zhong and Shan HongNing finally could be said to have submitted. Who would’ve ever thought that a little panacea restaurant would actually have crouching tigers and hidden dragons?

“Yun-ge, from now on, whatever you say is how it goes!” Kong Zhong was first to make the right choice. “From now I, Kong Zhong will follow you. If there’s anything, please don’t hesitate to order it.”

Even though Shan HongNing was unwilling, but after Qiu Yan’s cold gaze, his heart felt fear and had no choice but to obey. “Even through a mountain of blades or a sea of fire, as long as I can do it, I’ll absolutely have no complaints.”

“I willingly follow Yun-ge.” Lu Feng had completely collapsed from that cold murderous intent, Xu Yun gave him an infinite sense of mystery.

Xu Yun grinned. “We all follow Shuang-jie’s gang and eat from the same bowl, you don’t need to be so polite.”

Suddenly, the sound of steps came from the stairs.

GuoGuo stubbornly pulled the confused Ruan QingShuang to the staircase corner. With a proud expression that looked down on all living things she said, “Do you know who this is?”

Everyone stared with wide open eyes.

QiangZi cupped both hands and regarding her like the moon amidst the stars he said, “You’re looking at QingShuang. This is Shuang-jie, from now on, our Big Sister!”

Ruan QingShuang’s elegant brow knitted up, “Little Qiang, are you crazy? What are you saying!” Then she picked up GuoGuo. “Children shouldn’t partic.i.p.ate in affairs of adults, quickly let’s go back to the room. You still haven’t said what Teacher Su gave you for homework today!”
