When the day of the auction finally arrived, I looked like one of the riders of the apocalypse. With dark circles under my eyes, lowered shoulders and no sign of any soul in my entire self, one could think that I'm some kind of death row prisoner instead of a successful businessman that was about to see all his efforts come into fruition.

No matter how hard my experiences were in the Natural's sect when I left their premises, I still had work to do. Meeting with Venna about the fine details that still could be changed before the grand opening, helping Eve out with swallowing the sour pill that Nadia's refusal to meet her was, running around to met with Ham to procure some unorthodox wares and services for the second part of the auction, crafting more of those miraculous d.i.l.d.os…

All in all, with everything, said and done, when only two hours remained to the start of the event, I spent all my money and even went a bit into the debt with the materials from Venna, didn't sleep even for a minute through the entire night and was about to look all happy and enthusiastic about the evening that would be deciding point in my life?

While the lack of sleep wasn't as big of a problem as it could be for some middle-aged salesman from the earth with all the growth that my body experienced thanks to the system, the workload that constantly weighed on me along with the responsibility for all the actions that I took, forced the last bit of life energy out of me with a deep sighs that I constantly breathed out.

"Cheer up! You are about to get rich!"

Sitting in the moderately decorated lounge room for the VIP's, Venna tried to comfort me. I guess she mistook my exhaustion for depression. While it was nice of her, I would prefer if she actually did something to take some of the stress from my shoulders!

But it wasn't like the matters that remained on my head were something that could be consulted with her. While all the ideas about the auction had to go through her desk, there was one additional level to the building that was completely closed from the outside world. It could be even said that it was a hidden place created from what used to be a loft!

Everything that was about that place, was under my and my jurisdiction only. Not even Eve had access to any information about it!

But it wasn't like I tried to keep something from them with an ill will! I was only preparing a nice surprise for them, that would possibly shake the foundations of this city just as much as the auction would!

"Did Ham arrived already?"

Unable to employ Venna's help when it came to the attic, I had to rely on her subordinate. While I knew that he wasn't someone who could resist Venna's questioning, I hoped that she would think that I'm just used to his presence and like to make him do all the dirty work for me. Little did she know that as someone who shared his physical traits in my previous life, I offered him the best job he could ever imagine!

"I don't think so. The only thing that happened recently was when the guards informed me that a crowd of weak women approached the back gate of the area. I ordered them to get rid of them."

Bursting out of the sofa that I was resting on, I ignored Venna's puzzled expression and ran downstairs. Pa.s.sing by Eve busy with ordering the last batch of workers that were moving the last pieces of furniture in the main hall, I shot through the doors and jogged to the mentioned gate.

"Get the h.e.l.l out of here! This isn't a f.u.c.k.i.n.g brothel!"

Thankfully, I could hear the guards shouting at someone over a small wall that surrounded the entire place. It meant that the girls that Ham was ordered to procure didn't leave yet!

"Let them in!"

Almost tripping on my own legs, I managed to shout this short phrase when I arrived in the hearable distance. Stopping for a moment to catch a breath, I calmly walked through the remaining distance while feeling the guard's bewildered stare on me.

"What the h.e.l.l are you waiting for? Open the gate!"

There was no point in explaining my ideas or the use of those women. While I couldn't see whether they were pretty as I ordered, I had to give Ham a benefit of the doubt. Even if they weren't up to my expectations, there was simply no time to make him fetch someone else!

"Yes, young master!"

Realising that he was on the verge of losing his job, the guard didn't dare to voice his doubts and finally jumped down from the elevated platform he was in and raised the metal bar that locked the giant doors. With the scared men pulling on the gate wing from the inside, the crowd beyond them finally revealed itself to my eyes.

"Not so bad."

Noticing that the crowd of women that Ham gathered in the last few hours wasn't as ugly as I was worried about, I allowed them to get inside and gather in a small circle in the open area behind the main building.

"I a.s.sume that Ham already explained what your job will be?"

"Young master, I did it!"

Before any of the girls responded, I heard a silent shout. Recognising the voice, I looked at the crowd with a surprise, only to see a little, fat boy emerge from the group.

It's not a surprise that no one reported his presence. Surrounded by such a large group of rather nice looking women, he simply disappeared from the common sight!

"Everyone should know what you are supposed to do now. Ham, you will lead them to the attic and await your turn. Everything should be prepared there already."

With this, the last little ploy that I prepared to make the auction even grander than it was supposed to be. I left the problem of moving all of those girls to the loft in Ham's hands. Even if I could make it a lot smoother by just travelling alongside them, there was no way I would show myself to Eve while surrounded by p.r.o.s.t.i.t.u.t.es from all over the city!

Since everything was done, I moved to the side entrance to separate my route from the one that Ham would take and arrived back at the VIP lounge. Falling down back on the sofa, I only managed to ask Venna for one last thing.

"Wake me up a quarter of hour before it will start."

I could finally take a small nap.
