When one wanted to reach the third stage of the mortal realm, one had to properly complete the first two steps. Only by infusing his body with enough of energy and adding a layer of it around his body, would one create a resonance within that would finally allow one to create and drive his internal energy. Even though it was just a single step on the road, one would be more correct by calling it a leap!

Not only there was a need for a proper, even if only a small, cultivation drive, one had to use it to push the energy gathered in its dantian against the pressure coming from the energy already gathered in and around him, to forcefully infuse his dantians with enough energy to create paths. Only then would one be able to use this drive to change its natural energy state from a stable one in dantian to a mobile one around his meridians!

But to do so, there was a need for an enormous amount of energy!

In normal situation, prolonged absorption of the free world's energy would do the trick, but it would require at least a few months for normal cultivators or even more than a year for the ones that followed the will of the world! It wasn't because following the will of the world allowed one to expand the capacity of his dantians and meridians, but because forcefully operating the mana added a great burden on them, making it way harder to completely fill them up! 

Of course, there were people that could properly complete that step by forcing more energy that they initially thought they could into those places, but it required not only an enormous talent and willpower but a vast number of resources as well!

"Eve, I will need your help there."

Pointing my finger at my crotch, I stepped a few steps back while adding another load of energy to the shroud surrounding Lucia.

"Let's go back to the room. You will need to sit down and try to absorb as much energy as you can while waiting for me to get ready."
